  1. Possibly the fact that he has laid the blame exclusively at the players' feet while ignoring all of Roeder's obvious shortcomings? Are you really so thick you can't see that? Are you really so thick you can't read a headline? "Toon players have to take share of blame" Who has he attributed the rest of the blame to? Have a vague guess considering this is an article following his sacking... Point me to an article where Oliver has been more than lightly critical of Roeder then. No response? Didn't think so fuckwit. Pathetic
  2. Now you're even having a pop at Roeder for signing Martins? He really was on a hiding to nothing basically wasn't he?

  5. I know it's Anal, but what exactly don't you agree with in that article?
  6. Why is Stuart Pearce still at Man City? Arguably a very similar situation to Roeder, why does he keep his job? You said: Do you think proffesional footballers need that much motviation and organistation? I said: What do you think a manager's job is if it isn't to motivate players and organise them in terms of what to do in matches etc.? I hope that helps. Do you think I'm going to disagree? I agree, and that does not change the fact that Roeder is not the players. We have now had SBR, Souness and Roeder, all with the same squad and the same failings. How on Earth does that equate to the decision that Roeder is at fault and anyone else will do better? Or how does it justify the fact that Roeder has to improve this squad, but Fat Sam gets leeway to change it completely?
  7. Apart from the fact that Big Sam has a much better managerial record on paper. Souness won a few trophies with very good teams that he then took on to underachieve big style. Allardyce, although lacking on the trophy front has taken Bolton from the first division to top half Premiership finishers. So did Souness at Blackburn tbh Blackburn and Bolton were two completely different situations IMO. What Allardyce did with Bolton is not comparable with what Souness did at Rovers. Liverpool, Galatasaray, Benfica, Southampton, Torino, Newcastle tbh. Souness was sacked from all of them, and was on the verge of dismissal from Blackburn until some idiot decided to employ him. Exactly wheras Allardyce walked the Irish League with Limerick, left to play for Preston then became caretaker when their manager got sacked and turned their fortunes around but missed out on the job fulltime due to inexperience. Went to Blackpool and took them to 3rd place only to be sacked for not gaining promotion. Went to Notts County who were already down when he took over, took them back up the next season becoming the first side to win promotion by March since the war. Then he went to Bolton and we knew what he did there. I just simply refuse to accept the day has come that that description is enough to mark Fat Sam out as Number 1 contender for the job as manager of Newcastle United above any and all other possible candidates. Listen mate, this is what i'm trying to say and have been trying to say since Rodders got sacked and this news broke. Big Sam is not my number one choice for manager of Newcastle United at this current moment in time. I can think of atleast half a dozen people who i'd rather have in the hotseat than him. What I have accpeted though is that Freddy Shepherd is a complete and utter spastic and he is the best we can hope for. If we had a forward thinking chairman who looked further than the channel for managers then maybe alot of people would be more willing to back Klinsmann, Houllier, Sven etc. but do you really thing Freddy's going to appoint someone who isn't from the UK? The only problem I do have is you saying that Allardyce is on a par with Roeder when their respective careers show that you're talking out of your arse. That's HF not me

  9. Absolve them, absolve them all, they know not what they do. Do you think proffesional footballers need that much motviation and organistation? Have we really assembled a very expensive squad of idiots? The players obviously take some responsibility for their performances. I never said they didn't. Is your question a piss-take btw? What do you think a manager's job is if it isn't to motivate players and organise them in terms of what to do in matches etc.? Or does Roeder get absolved of all blame in your eyes? Answer this any time you like Stevie baby.... Put it this way. Do you accept that players perform differently when they know their manager has no authority? I'm thinking of Roeder and SBR's last season here. Do you think it is acceptable that the players can just disregard what the manager tells them because they know they are at a club where fan pressure can get him replaced before he has a chance to get rid of players who are not performing to the required standard? Do you accept that Roeder was not going to stand for the likes of Bramble et al to be here next season? Do you accept Roeder had no chance to do anything here apart from work with what was an already broken and fucked up squad. Do you accept that signing Sol Campbell should be the limit of forward planning for a new manager? Do you accept that observation of a team's performance is not an adequate reflection of a manager until that manager has total authority? Do you not afford Roeder the same excuses that Fat Sam seems to have over his stuttering end to Bolton's season?

  11. Any Sven based thread is always destined to end in smut and filfth
  12. No tablecloths in Starbucks.
  13. They have to change the front page every so often otherwise no one would visit and be tempted to buy the hideous shirt
  14. Is it close? Just arrange to meet and pay when you see the goods. Still might not work though. I also doubt that someone wanting to offload an XBox cheap would have sold lots of other stuff and been given feedback, might just be some daft bint auctioning the ex's stuff. Phone them, email them and use your noggin.
  15. That's pretty much what Happy Face is saying.

  17. "And when he is sitting on the beach in the summer he will be thinking a lot of his players could have done much better for him." egg-fucking-sactly. Gutless pieces of shit. Yet Fat Sam will be given 5 years to replace the squad 3 times over. And I'm sure every league manager has the 'baggage' of the impending final report of an inquiry over their heads
  18. Yes Dave if he does go that is indeed what he shall be doing. Yeah, that'll learn him. I doubt you'd even get to finish the whole "and you can fuck right off" sentence before his 911 was but a dot on the horizon.
  19. Do you mean losing the odd few matches every two years so we get rid of the latest useless manager, or a full on shit season so we get relegated and are really able to attract the top class candidates?
  20. Why's that? I thought they had a good relationship. You not thinking of Fowler? Was he not in charge when Own pissed them around and fucked off to Madrid?
  21. I believe it was the last time we appointed a decent manager
