  1. He'll have been paid off man, stop being so naive. If not, we'll hear all about what an honourable person he is, just like we were with Gullit. Maybe, but other managers weren't paid off or at least didn't take whatever "settlement" was offered. I find it hard to believe FFS would simply offer him the rest of his contract paid up, or even a gold handshake, and the option to resign, unless he was on peanuts and it only did have a few weeks to run. But anyway this getting off the point of this thread: DIE ROEDENT DIE!!!!!!! Well the point of it to me seems to be "what a nice chap he is", without any foundation. I wonder if James Milner thought he was a nice man when he was sent to Villa and then called back at the last minute? On his performances that doesn't stand up to examination. You wouldn't get that performance from a player who didn't respect you. You would if that player was desperate to just play? I doubt it.

  3. You've got it totally wrong in my opinion. Go and read the statements he made when he was hired. He was keen to get a chance to do this job with a full squad. He's been restricted in some way due to doubts by the board and he's decided to resign. At the end of the day, do you really expect him to beg to keep this job, given the fact he didn't initially want it, and the low opinion everyone had of him?
  4. I agree - you will be paying £15 a month by the time the season starts. Sky said there will be no more pay per view matches next season and I think there will be real competition between them and some good deals available at the start of the season. ? They're not showing the same games
  5. The irony that this thread has turned into a bitchfest
  6. He'll have been paid off man, stop being so naive. If not, we'll hear all about what an honourable person he is, just like we were with Gullit. Well if he's been paid off it will have been off the books. That might explain why Big Sam is coming
  7. He wasn't after cash at all, read the statements when he was hired, everything was geared around not wanting to lumber the club if he failed. I maintain that Fred would have put some kind of restriction on next year and Roeder's told him to fuck off. If this was all planned and we really did want Sam then why didn't we just go and get him last year? The whole mess of the PR around this extraordinary meeting screams of an unintended outcome.
  8. Man U don't win because of tactics alone. Fergie doesn't stand for losers, he employs players with a winning mentality, he has the luxury of not having to keep shite like Dyer et al when they prove time and again they haven't got the stones for winning.
  9. That's what I'm saying. 3 years ago he wanted it. Ayear ago he didn't. Now he does?
  10. Well would you turn down the offer? Whilst it may have been sensible to turn down THE poisoned chalice of English football, equally a chance like that doesn't come around very often. Also if he's resigned and not been sacked, not sure he'll be getting a huge pay off (he was only on a 1 year rolling contract anyway). Utter bollocks as usual, he was clearly sacked. Heh I notice you don't deny the rest. Well I wouldn't be surprise to have seen FFS saying something like "we won't be needing you next season, but you can stay on till then" and so he resigned. But if he was just after cash (as suggested) then he surely wouldn't have done? Apparently he had a clause in his contract allowing us to sack him after a season. Obviously Freddy has told him he plans to exercise that clause and given him the 'leave with your dignity intact' option. According to who? He only signed a 2 year contract so as not to burden the club, why would he not have just signed a 1 year one?
  11. So, he was offered the job and declined it 3 years ago Less than a year ago we were looking for a manager, Sam presumably didn't pick up the phone Just a year later Sam decides he's had enough at Bolton, and wants to come to NUFC? It's as suspect as one his transfers.
  12. Glen was probably told that due to fan boos the board have doubts in his ability, therefore he can't have any money next year and has to prove himself with this squad plus micheal owen. I hope he told Fred to fuck off
  13. My wireless router keeps dropping the speed from 52 to 24 to 1, which then requires a repair. This keeps happening anywhere from 1 minute to 15 minute intervals whats gannin on?
  14. give us the other 9 steps then...I'm sure we ALL WANT TO KNOW WTF THEY WIL BE !!! Don't take your mackem relatives angst out on me missus
  15. So when is Rosicky signing? Is he coming with Wenger?
  16. And yet it's taken 9 pages for this to sink in. If anyone greeted this news with more than just a muttered 'good' then they want their head read. This is step 1 in a 10 step action plan needed to turn this club around. If have no confidence in step 2 being taken correctly.
  17. Alot of people wanted him. It wasn't a lot, and it certainly wasn't the number who do now
  18. 'We've managed to attract Sam Allardyce' That statement actually makes me feel sick. 12 months ago no-one wanted him
  19. Klinsmann could definitely be interesting, whether he'd come here is a different issue though (tbh bigger and better would risk him I think). And Klinsmann's track record in club management is ???? All our previous managers since KK have had club management experience.
  20. It is a bank holiday How does that affect anything? Did the BBC reporter get stuck in traffic trying to get back to the office to file the report?
  21. Klinsman, much as he is a German diving tosser, the Germans play a similar style to the Prem and he knows the profile of Newcastle and the Premiership. He would be a good shout.
