This may be a really ignorant question, but why is age such an important factor in something like snooker? I've never been any good at it (and I've been young!) but to me it looks like the key is being able to concentrate for long periods of time (obviously with talent at the sport) and that can happen at any age. The only real reason I can think of for youngsters coming through and dislodging older players from the top of the rankings is down to motivation.

Do you think by March 2016 it would be possible for you to be recognised as a world champion (or record holder etc) in any given activity? We were having this chat in the pub and I said that unless someone was pretty amazing at something now, there was no chance. My mate reckoned that all he needed to do was find a minority sport and dedicate a few years/months to it and he could do it. Which way do you lean?
