no. square pegs in round holes at the moment. i don't think he knows what his best side is yet. Agreed, and I find that disturbing. I can understand why he doesn't know his best starting 11 yet. He only took over the squad about 12 games ago and has also added 9 new faces to it. Most were complaining last season etc we never had a big enough squad so he has tried to fix that problem. Most on here change their prefered starting 11 week to week, its a bit ironic that Sam continually gets slated for the same thing. Confidence in his best team will come through games and what he sees on the park in competitive games. I totally agree with that line Things aren't going 100% our way but we're still considerably better than the shite we were pushing out this time last season. It goes back to what I was saying in the summer in that this season is about consolidation. We've changed the manager, the owners and a lot of the team - it takes time to build. I don't remember Robson setting the world alight in his first season here either. Do WE know the best starting line up? Can someone make a complicated poll so we can figure out the best please?

There was a student in front of me with a Yorkshire accent and a lisp. The number of times he stood up and shouted "Where'th the opthionth?? Give him thum optionth!". I wanted to punch a hole in the back of his head. If I had a lisp I'd choose my sentences with a bit more care. The highlight of the match was with 5 minutes to go when he was stood up for the 50th time ironically applauding the ref, when the bloke next to me goes "Heeya mate. Fuckin siddoon. The game was fuckin owa after 5 minutes and you're being a twat about the referee?!" Lithpitht tbh

I for one think any credible manager should be able to get those players to create chances. Pass & move, triangles, one touch, run into space, pass into space, first time crosses, slide rule passes, etc. Don't tell me those players cannnot achieve all of those things which result in chances. We look absolutely clueless going forwards, if it wasn't for marauding runs by zog, and occassionally milner, we would be Wimbledon a la eighties. Little pace in the side, woeful invention. I am concerned if BS doesn't 'find his team' quickly we could be in for a dramatic plunge down the Shitewater Valley Death Slide. Give him time, yes absolutely. Support the team, aye. See with my own eyes abject mediocrity, apparently so.
