Did people have the hump with Lee Clark when he came back here because he'd played for the Mackems? No! Have people forgotten what David Kelly did for us because he ended up playing for Sunderland? No! Steven Taylor should shut the fuck up and concentrate on playing football as there's considerable room for improvement... What a tit!

hmm , tough one , i think another trophy for one of our teams will help bring even more quality players to the league , i could stomach an english team winning if it means we get to watch the likes of kaka or messi in the prem . For one I can't see Barcelona letting messing go and I'd be surprised if Kaka left Milan too. And neither would be coming here anyway so it would be of no benefit to NUFC. I can watch them on telly anyway as it is. How about my suggestion that Ferguson would be more likely to bring his retirement forward if they won it? I genuinely think that when he leaves, there's a good chance that they could lose their way a bit and possibly "do a Liverpool" after their sustained success ended. Although, the likelihood of them hiring Souness is quite low unfortunately. Bryan Robson maybe? I think that's fair comment and I don't despise Ferguson or owt and you have to respect him immensely for what he's done. Steve Bruce I reckon btw I reckon in the current climate, it's nailed on to be Mark Hughes' job if SAF does call it a day... Keane must be in with a shout though?

Rumours abound that if Milan get Ronaldinho, they'll allow Kaka to join Chelsea.... Can't see Messi moving on though.

Isn't the dongle for receiving wireless signals, not sending them out? Absolutely... to get wireless running on the Wii, the dongle would have to be fitted to the Wii, NOT the PC. Sticking a dongle on a PC doesn't suddenly make it a wireless router!

Considering it was widely reported that Chelsea were going to do a media lock-down before and after the Everton game, these repsonses were hardly surprising..

Agree with Jonny - never a big fan of Pav - was prone to some absolute clangers now and then. Good shot-stopper when it was one on one but the amount of flapping he used to do on corners I'm surprise he didn't take off. Very similar to David James in that one game he was awesome, the next he was abysmal. Considerably better than Hooper and probably on a par with Hislop at the time. Always preferred Tommy Wright between the sticks. As for Friedal, I'm pretty certain is was before '96 when KK was after him - more 1994 IIRC - we couldn't get a work permit on the basis that he wasn't the no.1 choice keeper at the world cup - that Tony Whatshisface was keeping him out... Pav was always going to achieve cult status amongst our fans for wearing a 'Pavel is a Geordie' t-shirt when they were parading the 1st division trophy

Most of them thankfully.... Don't like remembering THAT match in May 1990 though... (SLP will be shuddering!)

Prince William used a military helicopter to fly to a stag party, but the MOD insists the Friday afternoon jaunt was a "legitimate" training exercise. Yeah right The 25-year-old prince took off in a Royal Air Force Chinook helicopter for a three-day party on the Isle of Wight sometime Friday, hours after receiving his wings from his father, Prince Charles. As part of his 80-minute flight, he also stopped at the Woolwich Army barracks to pick up his brother, Prince Harry. Media reports said that by flying, William avoided seven hours of driving in rush hour traffic and a ferry wait, allowing him to land at about 4 p.m. local time for a weekend of touring the island's pubs and clubs. Well good on ya! The Chinook was flown back to its base by an RAF crew. Members of Parliament and the Taxpayers' Association blasted the trip, saying it was inappropriate for the prince to employ a military helicopter as a party-going taxi service. They noted it costs about £5,000 to keep a Chinook in the air for an hour, and British troops in Afghanistan are short on the aircraft. Bloody amazing don't you think?

Given his age, that puts his trial slap bang in the middle of the Gullit era... At least old dreadlocks didn't get everything wrong...
-
Was he in charge for both those relegations? My favourite stat of that era is if you add the points from their 02-03 season (19) to the points from their 05-06 season (15) they still would have got relegated Monkey Heid was in charge for the first one I think. I think he was for the start of the season before being booted out and replaced by Wilkinson. Pretty sure McCarthy was installed just before the end of the campaign and was in charge when they were mathematically relegated.

Because it was created as a repository for threads that had achieved gold status. The decision was made that once a thread was put in there, it shouldn't be altered otherwise it could lose the value it had. Only people who can actually post in there is admins.

Gold for me... about time we had something in there a bit more recent than the bizarre thread.

Aye Mabbutt scored at both ends (gave Spurs a 2-1 lead on the stroke of half time).

You been recruiting again?

Well like I said, my brother suffers badly with colitis - not sure if it's something that is linked through family but it's there if it is... Wait and see I guess - the bloods should show something I'd say.

I thought that was gonna be the 'raise a grand to play at SJP' fund for a second... All joking aside, indeed a worthy cause. Tragic at that age

That's what I'm hoping mine turns out to be.... Although the quack said that piles don't cause the forming of mucous and that's what his concern is. He left it at that so haven't got a clue what he was thinking... Any of the medics out there wanna make a suggest I'd be most appreciative.

I've had that from time to time Jon... generally in line with constipation when i've strained too much. But this..... this is a whole lot different. Turns the whole toilet bowl red and when i've wiped, it's akin to having a nose bleed...

Can't our wonderful sponsors notch up a grand to put out a team?? Peasepud - the floor is yours!

Do your cats ever bring you 'presents'?

Cunning way of catching birds like... Ours once brought a live frog home, minus the leg it had just mangled off it..... Needless to say, the frog was hopping mad! -
Sigmoidoscopy sounds more like what he said, although he did mention it'd be a flexible camera. I googled colonoscopy and the diagrams made me wince. Still if it needs to be done, it needs to be done. I know bowel cancer is rare until later life but it didn't stop my brother having to have a biopsy with the condition he has. Think I covered all aspects with the quack but any info from you guys in the medical know-how is very much appreciated.
