I've done £5 each way on Joe's Edge and another £5 each way on Hedgehunter. Done it through Paddy Power who are offering a payout on the first 5 places

Been off work all week. Tonight I'm driving to Bristol as I'm working there tomorrow... Double time of course

That is so true slp, Def Leppard being one of mine I realise now they were incredibly corny, but i loved them. Not all of us can claim to have been members of a crap band though. :D

I'm strongly beginning to suspect a Windows Fuck Up! Bring on Service Pack 1 - I've even installed all the fixes related to it (known issue apparently) and no joy.

I diagnose a strong case of Jimbo-itis...

I'm guessing we'll get a load of...

Didn't he have the pleasure of being stood next to an excitable hardcore Erasure fan last time out?

Should be around at some point - am home with the kids this week. And nope, not heard a thing yet - will chase him.

That's what I don't get - I had no conflicts back then and the driver was not corrupt Probably installed something that's screwed it up

If you ask Papa L, I'm sure he'll know the answer!

They came back with some quick advice. Firstly updating the firmware - have done so and no joy. Secondly using the Dell Diagnostics to test the drive which appears to be successful. Seems like the device, its firmware and the BIOS is fine - it's the Windows driver which is screwed.

Thanks Jimbo - have dropped them a thread

Cheers Laz... Gave that a whirl but no joy

We could do without those, Parker is injured and then suspended for 2 matches I think too. Not exactly going to help our final run in of games. Harper is a straight swap for Given, Dyer isn't playing in midfield, so it's not really that bad. I've never subscribed to that opinion and I think I think Harper was 'found out' when Given was injured earlier this season.

Yep - first thing I did after that was delete it and then re-scan. it basically found the same driver in the System32 folder with the same conflict

Hand on heart...can you see us winning anything in the next 5 years.
Craig replied to Asprilla's topic in Newcastle Forum
Yes I can - I guess it's all about belief in what can happen. You never know what is around the corner and had you told anyone of us in January 1992 that 4 years down the line we'd be leading the Premiership by 12 points we'd have laughed in your faces. The day I believe we can't win anything will be the day I give up on the club. -
I have an Optiplex GX520 which I have recently upgraded to Windows Vista Business Edition (32-bit). Since I have, I've had problems reading from the CD-ROM and in fact, Explorer doesn't recognise it although both the BIOS and Device Manager does. The drive in question is a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSL462C ATA Device. When I view it in the Device Manager, it's marked as having a conflict (yellow exclamation mark) and when I look at the device status, it reports: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. I click the "Check for Solutions" button and the machine searches the net for a driver update. Then a couple of seconds later, finishes its search. I've also gone to the driver tab and clicked Update Driver and asked it to search online but all it reports back is: The best driver software for your device is already installed Windows has determined that the driver software is up to date: CD-ROM Drive Yet when I check back in Device Manager, the conflict is still there and I'm still unable to see my CD-ROM drive in Windows Explorer. Anyone got any ideas where to look? I've tried the Dell Technical Support Drivers and Downloads but there doesn't appear to be a firmware flash for that particular device when I enter my Service Tag (859302J) Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I got one bag of Cadbury's Shots - went in no time at all!

One of our better players this season. We need to stop thinking in terms of players ages and money we can get for them and more about what is being produced on the pitch. Is Nicky Butt expendible at this point in time? Not in my opinion. Lets see who they bring in first rather than talk about letting go.

Razorlight - nowhere near as good on CD as they were on Friday night though!

And Curly Wurlys were as long as a 12" ruler!!

Another country to live in, which would it be?
Craig replied to bobbyshinton's topic in General Chat
That's where I want to be -
When we were expecting our first, I wanted a boy and had convinced myself that it was going to be a boy. Of course it ended up being a girl and I was chuffed to bits. When the second one was coming along, I knew it was going to be my last and I desperately wanted it to be a boy so that I had one of each. I got my wish

Dunno if this link has been made public in the thread before - but it's worth a squiz! http://www.southparkzone.com/

Aye.......knew how he felt when I dropped my bacon butty on Peasepud's living room floor. That would have sounded believable if you had been in any fit state to partake in any of the breakfast I laid on, the words "green" and "lightweight" have never been so apt More so that the 'two flush' episode?
