We need a fucking buy-out, BIG time!!!
-
OK new tactic, hide all his pies and starve the bastard!
-
I wondered if that was you - something to do with Beckham coming to Newcastle as a trophy signing by the moronic Shepherd from Scott in Newcastle. Fair play, just a shame Brazil said we're only just starting to turn on Shepherd though
-
YouTube are obviously being hit hard with letters from lawyers these days - shame! If it had been a recording of the whole race then fair enough, but getting told to remove a 10 second clip with a funny line in it is beyond a joke!
-
Don't let the monotone Finnish accent fool you, this kid is a fucking nightmare! You seen the photos of the McLaren guys dragging him out of a bar completely wasted?
-
Before that IMO. I know a certain person will say I'm getting personal, but it started going wrong when SJH stepped aside. Actually in reality it was when the club was floated - if we'd remained in private hands, KK would have seen out the remainder of the 96-97 season and we'd have had 4 months to source his replacement. I'm convinced Robson would have joined that summer and had he done so and inherited Keegan's squad instead of the shambles Gullit left behind, I think we'd be in a totally different situation these days.
-
And that is spot fucking on. 100% spot on!

daft comment, not true and only said by bairns I'm afraid You might think it's daft Leazes, but factually it's correct. People are laughing at the piss poor way this club is being run. It's even gone so far that I hear people say they feel sorry for the Newcastle fans, not because of the years without silverware, but for the pathetic displays both on and off the pitch which the input that our fans give is deserving of so much more. We're an absolute joke at the moment and no wave of a magic wand by the fat fairy is going to turn it all around. Until the upper levels of management are re-planted, we're never going to get of this slippery slope. At the present moment, the Championship beckons, even more so than it did under Souness IMO.
-
So has Souness. Whats your point? My point is that there were a hell of a lot better options than Roeder and Ranieri was one of them Hitzfeld another O'Neill etc etc but once again Shepherd made the stupid decision and we are in the shit again. To be fair, and I know it'll never be admitted by the fat one, I don't think Roeder was his first choice and that one of the names you mentioned probably was...

That's the big issue IMO - who is the right player for him? I have serious reservations that Owen & Martins are going to be too similar a player and lets face it, we're going to be sadly lacking in height up front. Martins is not a natural replacement for Shearer, neither is Owen. And personally I don't think it's any coincidence that the best Newcastle United team I've ever watched consisted of two fantastic crossers of the ball (Gillespie & Ginola) and two/three blokes in the middle who were awesome in the air and deadly with their feet (Shearer/Ferdinand/Asprilla). I'd hope we're looking at the likes of Ashton in January, not that I think West Ham will sell him as they seem to be hanging on the "it'll all come good when Ashton's back" line. Hell I even now wish we'd challenged Everton for James Beattie.
-
It noticably started to go wrong around the time of the CL exit at the hands of Partizan Belgrade. In reality, the seeds were sown long before that IMO.
-
Micky Quinn joined in 1989 you sackless twat! And why the fuck does he talk like he's some fucking punditary expert?
-
Love the way that of the players they've got listed for us, two of them are crocked and the other one is warming the bench... Says a hell of a lot!
-
With whom? Portugal? Aye. He must have a get out clause if Ingerrrrrrland were thinking about hiring him. Actually forget that knowing the FA (could read NUFC here) they would be more than likely to pay above the odds to hire a manager - only thing is he isn't shit enough to qualify. I noticed no-one has commented on the rumour about Hiddink being parked in Russia by Abramovich in preparation for the special one to be moved on, in another thread. Maybe if we could get the spin doctors working hard (pud what you doing for the next week or three) we could get Mourinho paranoid enough to pull the pin on chelski and finally join the toon. Didn't Scolari sign his two year deal after the link to the England job happened?

A breeding ground for c**ts and tw*ts if ever I heard one...
-
But I take pics of peoples' tattoos in the street. Do you ask them if you can?
-
Don't even joke it!
-
Aye, on the pitch.... Be nice to presume it could carry on for the management side of things too but yep, that's a big bundle of straws.
-
There's something not right about taking photos of strangers in the street full stop tbh!

The other scary prospect is that if Roeder does go, who would take over in the interim? The likes of McDermott, Clark or Pearson managing us (albeit on a temporary basis) is scaring the fuck out of me! Shearer & Beardsley dream team anyone?
-
Doesn't say owt about N-O but they're the ones who've started this whole Shepherd Out campaign. I think there's a hell of a lot more than a select few over on N-O who want Shepherd out and are actively voicing their views on it though...

The thing about the possibility that Shearer may not bring us the success a lot think he will, I look back at the time Keegan was appointed. We as a club were down in the mire and the fans were too extemely down-beat. The appointment of Keegan lifted our spirits and expectations and with it, the fans renewed enthusiasm spurred the team onto succeed (that's always been my viewpoint on it anyway - yes he made some shrewd signings, but the crowd earned us that 3-0 win at home to Bristol City in the first match). I believe we're in a similar situation now, we're incredibly downbeat and we need a pick-up to kick-start the team into action. The appointment of Shearer could well do that. That said, a good proportion of our team is gash. The defence which has never been great for years is considerably worse these days!
