I won the FA & UEFA Cup in my first season and I've got to early December in the second season without a losing a game. Shit club or shit management?
  3. Watched a program last night which was about the D-Day landings filmed in colour. They had footage ofthe men being loaded into boats in Torbay and also showed footage of the beaches from the boats out at sea and you could quite clearly see the hundreds of bodies lying on the beach. The were interviewing the veterans who were told that many of them would die or be seriously injured and that if that was the case, their comrades were instructed to leave them and keep advancing until they had achieved their primary objective (to take the beach). All of them were reduced to tears when recalling the fact that they had to defy their human instinct helping others and push on to take the beaches. Very moving programme, makes me feel old by saying it but the youth of today would do well to take serious interest in what happened back then. For our tomorrow, they truly did give their today - RIP!
  4. Can you not give instruction to withdraw him or is that only from friendlies?
  5. Good shout - regular updates perhaps? Love the LeazesMag & the Toontastic ones
  6. or a dog's arse.......?
  7. My best mates at Uni were called Hugh (guy who provides us with this place) and Piers The pair of them are as far away from being pretentious, toffee-nosed & pompous as you can actually get! Weird when you tell someone your mates are called that and they obviously form a prejudicial opinion of them based solely on their names and then when they meet them, have to admit that they are fuck all like they expected them to be! In this instance though Gemmill, I'm disappointed you didn't resort to twatting the little shites. Should have asked 'deatrest Hugo' if he wanted to be the first off the plane and dangled the little fucker over the edge of the stairs!

The shower one is fucking cruel!
  9. Nihat - doesn't come cheap but he more than provides an ROI. Any free kick within 25 yards of the goal generally ends up rippling the onion bag!
  10. I recently signed Jaap Stam as cover for mine. Cost me £650K and is happy to be used as backup to the first team.
  11. I was forced to quit!! Of the £80m transfer budget I had £65m left at the end of the season. I won both the FA & UEFA Cups, the fans loved me and said I was an inspired choice for manager and the club even offered me a new, improved contract which I signed. The next seasons starts and they announce my transfer budget......... £500K!! So where did the other £64.5m go? Immediately asked for more funds and they said no, sell more players (despite the fact I've already got rid of 6 this summer). Issued an ultimatum and was asked to resign! The fans are seeeeething!
  12. That guy is a ringer for Jimbo!
  13. In my first season managing Newcastle, I managed to shift Michael Owen off to Milan pretty quickly which was quickly followed by the club getting taken over and me being supploed with a massive transfer kitty (£80m). Shame I didn't get the wages budget to match it like! Brought in Distin, Hoyte, Diop & Defoe and the side is starting to gel together well. Got to the FA Cup final and am due to play Reading also leading 3-1 in the first leg of the UEFA Cup semi-final. League is tosh though, I'm currently 16th!!
  14. It's 4 out of the 5, isn't it? Are you not originally from Newcastle? Born in Kendal mate, I'm a Cumbrian! (admittedly since the age of 2 I lived in Newcastle but Pud is the only one of the five of us who's a Geordie)
  15. It's 4 out of the 5, isn't it?
  16. It's a 10 minute drive from my office... No way in hell am I going, it's less torturous to go home and see the wife!
  17. Almost.... He stopped 'meddling' of sorts when KK almost walked due to no cash being made available. That was the difference with Sir John IMO, despite the fact that he was at the top of the tree, he still had the utmost respect for the man who managed the team. Shepherd on the other hand appears to have no respect and sees Roeder (and the men before him) as inferior to him. Without the 'level' relationship between manager and chairman, success is bound to be difficult.
  18. Was listening to Talksport around 2ish yesterday and they were talking to a sports journalist (didn't catch his name) about the Newcastle situation. He said: "For the first time ever, Newcastle United had a great man at the helm in Sir John Hall - a man who put his love for the club at the forefront and had the opinion that success on the field would reap financial bonuses off it. His successor quickly destroyed the legacy that had been been put in place, thinking first and foremost about how much he could make personally from the club and worrying about the on-field matters a distance second. The rapid decline of the fortunes of the club is proof enough that the reign of Freddy Shepherd is one of the biggest cases of football mis-management there has ever been!" He also went on to comment that no-one was more responsible for how 'great' the Premiership became than Sir John Hall & Kevin Keegan with the brand of football and entertainment they brought to the league in its early days. He finished off by saying that a Premiership without Newcastle United would be a very sad situation for all.
  19. Totally agree. And what's more worrying is that is exactly the same bullshit that LM has spouted for ages!
  20. Just re-read that.....are we sure Leazes isn't him?
  21. So it's official then.......it's all OUR fault!
  22. McKeag must be laughing in his grave!
  23. So shooting the bastard and putting us all out of our misery will actually be doing him a favour? Nowt stopping them now - lace one of his pies with cyanide!
