1. Apparently he's went way downhill since he left here, but look at what we have at LB, i'd get him!
2. We've treat him badly and made ourselves look stupid. The only good thing is Villa not getting a player they obviously thought would strengthen them.
3. I can just imagine him watching SSN and shouting 'Jesus Wept' every time the toon is mentioned 189169 You mean "Milner has returned to Newcastle" which is the ONLY FUCKING NEWCASTLE NEWS TODAY? 189172 To be fair Fat Fred will probably class it as a new signing!
4. I'd have been very susprised at Cole not ending up leaving Arsenal after the way him and his agent have acted, and the fact that these days players always get what they want ultimately. 189163 Apart from James Milner, seemingly. 189164 Hang on for a bit, he could be leaving and returning another couple of times yet!
5. Wants to go to Liverpool, the two clubs can't agree on a fee. 189161 Sounds a bit like Owen!
6. I'd have been very susprised at Cole not ending up leaving Arsenal after the way him and his agent have acted, and the fact that these days players always get what they want ultimately.
7. I'd have him as well, but can't see manu giving away another striker when they're arguably short already and with Smith just returning from injury.
8. I'm still not sure Jose wants to lose Bridge now if he gets Cole. With Gallas also going, the fact he's recently complained his squad didn't have enough cover and Bridge playing well so far this season i'm not sure what chance we have. Hope i'm wrong and we get him as he'd be a great signing.
9. I feel like i've missed out, i've never walked any seriously long distance pissed! A mate of mine walked home from town to Hexham once which is a canny hike!
10. Good of us to let Arsenal have him tbh!
11. Might be a load of bullshit, but yes its about the best Roeder can do, shove the blame onto Fat Fred and say it was a financial decision and that Roeder himself wanted the player to stay!
12. I'm glad its off but i feel really sorry for Milner who is being treat like shit when all he's done since he got back here from Villa is work hard, been happy to stay and earn a place in the team. Fat Fred and Roeder owe him a big apology for messing him about like this and we're getting dangerously close to Souness levels of man management here which i never want to see the like of ever again!
13. As somebody said earlier in the thread it was sad two young lads lost their mother and would have the press and nation obsessed with it for what turned out to be fucking ages, so they had little escape from it. But the way people went on was embarassing. Some of the moronic parents who dragged their kids (and even babies) from round the country to sit in the freezing cold all night so they could get a good spot to "enjoy" watching the funeral procession, i mean FFS! And the people that were loudest in blaming the press for her death will be the same people who everytime she appeared on the frontpage of a paper, bought it thus making it profitable to put her on the front page, meaning the press would follow her more.
14. He'll do a story on how Geordie Legend Lee Clark is coming out of semi-retirement to play both centreback and centre forward at the same time.
15. well we got right back up there for one season under Robson. So not quite that long ago. 188305 We had a couple of seasons where we punched above our weight man - same as Spurs and Everton have done in the last few years. We were never long term competition for Man United. 188313 The punching above our weight comment is BS, and you know it. We came third, at one stage we had an outside chance of even winning the league, but we blew it, big style. But at least then we were aspiring to match ManU and more than compete with the likes of Liverpool, which should always be a realistic aim at a club of our size. 188335 Correct, its the same BS argument as people saying we didn't deserve to finish 4th and 5th the 2 seasons we did when the whole point of a league season of playing every other team home and away is to show you exactly where you deserve to finish. Fergie himself said NUFC could very well have won the title if Bellamy hadn't got injured after which we fell away from the title chase. I think it was away to the Mackems he got injured wasn't it?
16. More stupidity from NUFC by the sounds of it. Our squad is already way too small, so lets make that worse whilst at the same time giving a rival team a player they want in a position they need. And does anyone expect us to get any more than £3m-£3.5m knowing the way we do things.
17. Well at least its a striker till the next transfer window, better than nothing which was what we had a few minutes ago! And anyway he was obviously our first choice all along, we've just kept quiet about it so we didn't alert other clubs!

Swinging

Its the second series i believe, though i didn't see the first one myself.
19. Far better source than Alan Oliver tbh!
20. That could almost, in a strange way makes sense if say Chelski and arse can't agree a deal and he refuses/wenger refues to play him for arsenal.
21. yep, you're right I forgot about monkey heeds few years..... Didn't last though Actually, I forgot about those few years when I was thinking of their best players too - obviously - as Sewperkev should have played for better clubs when they went downwards again - like us !!!!! 186995 Ive got a couple on board but surely that is just gibberish 187078 I haven't got a clue what your on about mate..... but if you are saying the Kevin Phillips wasn't a good striker who should have moved on from the mackems, I disagree, I think he was one of the best in the country at that time. 187891 Best example of a one season wonder though isn't he. 187904 2, plus a couple in the 1st division. I just think he should have moved on, rather than stay at the mackems while they went downwards. If we had signed him, he would have done well as cover for Bellamy and Shearer as 3rd striker, and with other clubs would have played more. I liked him, I thought he was sharp, strong, determined and good in the box [although his missus might have said something about that if you believe the rumours .... ] 187917 I agree about Phillips. Much better than alot of toon fans give him credit for because he played for the Mackems and had he moved at the right time when he was at his best and played for a good side he'd have had another 3 or so seasons of prolific goal scoring i imagine.
22. Anyone remember his tv show? 187940 I do remember watching it late at night (not sure why!) and didn't he always have that Tory politician on with the crap hair and beard. Jeremey Hanley or something like that, can't remember the exact name.
23. Sweep is a legend, there's no doubt! Currently would have to go for, Triumph "The comic insult dog"
