Millner has shown the value of taking players with ability/potential away from Souness and handing them to anyone else on the planet! Given the confidence and coaching plus regular football at Villa he has clearly come back a better prospect. I'd say he still needs to work on his final ball delivery and looking up to see where strikers are etc. but he looks much better. And Duff showed because he is so two footed he can easilly play on the right and the left, throw in Nobby and Zog and we have more options out wide than in a long time. I would love (fitness permitting) to even just once see a line up include Duff, Zog, Dyer, Millner and Martins and see the opposition keep up with them!

184676 As long as it isn't Larry David He's happy as!!! But the bloke is class and i think he's going to love it up here and the fans will love watching him play here.
-
You could tell that even with it ending at 0-0 everyone came out of the match happy and talking about individual players performances and the football the team had played. Obviously its harder against the better teams, but the way the likes of Duff and Zog were beating men was a joy to watch. £5.5m for Duff is looking like being outrageously good business.

It was 0-0 but i came away from it happier with the football we played than in virtually any game (including wins) we played lasts eason. Granted the opposition were poor, but some of the passing football, the runs, flicks and 1 touch passing were excellent. Duff was absolutely outstanding and was going past players for fun and Zog was class throughout. On another day we'd have had a hatful as we hit the woodwork, missed easy chances and were inches away from connecting with passes and crosses on numerous occasions. Also the keeper made saves and the defenders made blocks. So as long as get a striker into the lineup and preferably 2 when fit and available there will be plenty of chance for them.

Is this thread being moved to the (Nazi) gold section?

If you don't like the Nazi restaurant then why not go to the other end of town and enjoy a drink at 'Bar Mitvah'

If your names not Braun you're not getting in!

accompanied by classical gas on the the guitar no doubt. 184450 And the Ramones with 'Blitzkrieg Bop'

In the background you can hear the pianist play some (gas) chamber music as you enjoy your meal.

And the fried onion Guerrings? Did they create this resteraunt just for threads like this? 184347 Maybe they created it so you could learn to spell restaurant. 184351 I think that would be alot of trouble to go to on their behalf, but i appreciate it! Anyway, back to the nazi based humour!

Wimpy resist and begin a fightback only for McDonalds to come in towards the end and steal all the glory. 184343 Meanwhile a Japanese resteraunt starts taking over Chinese eateries until Macdonalds bricks their windows!
-
Will the resteraunt slowly but surely employ hostile takovers of the resteraunts on either side of it, with the nearby French resteraunt selling up to them without a fight?

But of course thanks to the moronic rules we have since the ref saw it and punished it with a yellow they can't change it. Gallagher should be chucked into non league refereeing and told he can come back in a few years time and Thatcher wants the shit kicking out of him, he's done this many times, ask the Mackems who remember him from an incident with Nicky Summerbee.
-
We're only 2 rounds of games into the season and already there has been about 8 or 9 wrong penalty decisions that have turned matches, wrong decisions over red and yellow cards and tonight the worst of all. For Gallacher to only give Thatcher a yellow card for an assault that should see him locked up is scandelous and he follows it by fucking up a blatant penalty decision. They are without question a waste of space and what a shocker nearly all the penalty decsions have went for bigger clubs and against the 3 promoted clubs nd other smaller clubs! I would have added the Bramble one but when i saw it on TV it hits his chest then his hand which is a deflection and thus accidental an not a pen, or else it would be another one to the total of shite decisions.

MAckems on SMB throwing their toys out the pram because Hansen said on MOTD he thought Keane would go to a bigger and better place than Sunderland. Don't see what they're crying about, Keane for all he is one of the biggest cnuts to ever play the game is a big name and a big player and you would have expected him to start somewhere bigger and better!

Well, I guess I know what we are eating at next year's summer piss up now... 183233 Correct, it'll be Babybell and pepperami canapes washed down with Blue Nun!
-
I quite like them but rarely ever have them. Though to a cheese snob it would be the equivalent of giving a wine buff some Blue Nun!

I do remember him, it was something like Brattback or similar but not sure of his exact name.

I especially agree about Hasselbaink, he would have at least been some decent cover and eased the pressure on the striker front. Even with Martins we are still at least one striker short. 183213 I'm also still trying to work out the logic behind not making a move for Sol Campbell especially when what we have saved on Boumsongs wages would have paid for the majority of Sols. 183214 Roeder said they looked at his record and he'd only played 30 games in 2 seasons so they didn't think he was the right option. I can repsect that to an extent, it shows unlike Souness, Roeder actually checks things! But the Hasselbank one was for me a mistake, we are desperate for strikers and a proven, experienced goal scorer who has a year left in him at least was available for free and we turned it down.
-
No it doesn't. 183122 well going on our record of recent transfer outgoings, i'm going to predict that we'll sell martins in a couple of transfer windows time for about £3.5m and the majority of this board will be relieved we were able to get his wages off the books. woodgate aside, does anyone remember when the last time was that we did a good bit of business? 183127 Damien Duff , not a very hard question 183130 agreed but i was talking about outgoings... 183139 Jenas. 183207 That was a good one! And since Faye is barely a footballer, the fee we got for him was another good bit of work.
-
People at the club seem to think quite a bit of him as a bloke and a professional so maybe he'll be above all that, i hope so anyway. Its obvious to all what the problems were. Firstly Souness being bereft of a brain paid way over the odds for the player saddling him with a fee he'd never live up to. And secondly Boom was just not suited to playing our defence in the prem and once his confidence went and the fans lost patience it was downhill all the way. He might do alright with Juve and i hope he does as it may help us get more money longterm from the deal

Yeah the fat prick in front of me and his mate seemed to think after Shola set one up and scored the winner he needed to be described as shite for some reason! When i told fatboy to stop talking bollocks he came up with the inspired argument that even on the goal Shola had nearly missed. I had to explain to him that he either scored and deserves credit, or missed and doesn't, nearly is fucking irrelivent (and it was bollocks that he nearly missed anyway!). Under Keegan we nearly won the prem but we didn't get a trophy for that! I thought i'd got rid of the fat bloke as he disappeared not long after Souness was sacked. Possibly due to arguing with me about Souness and all the things i pointed out to him being instantly sorted under Roeder, sending us on the run we went on and fatboy having no comeback.

Its a complete joke that you can be knocked out completely from one competition and then enter and win another mid way through. Theres only one reason for it, to allow the bigger euro clubs more chance at making money and winning a trophy if their CL campaign goes wrong. But the UEFA (as almost proven by the smogs) is there for taking with some good performances and a bit of luck. Of course lacking any form of luck we will struggle to win it, but not having Souness increaes the chances tenfold at least!

Kevin Phillips snubs Sunderland for West Brom.

And they appear to have Reid watching their match, no doubt that'll be a popular choice! They are becoming such a complete and utter joke that you do almost feel sorry for them...almost!
