I haven't seen much of what Shabbaz has been getting up to, but earlier i did see him with the young welsh lad. Weh he politely asked him to stop touching him as it made him uncomfortable Shabbaz said he was that kind of person, that he wouldn't change and the lad would have to get used to it. What sort of argument is that!!! Cold Gary Glitter say he likes touching kids and people should get used to it! (obviously a diferent thing but its the same basic principle) That is just disgraceful behaviour and the lad should have replied "I'm the sort of person who smacks the shit out of blokes who touch me up, its just who i am and i won't change so you'll have to get used to it!"

They're all as shite as each other, as with most organisations in this country. I worked at AQA and was actually there when we got the extra contract from edexcel and was thinking how bad they must be to be worse than us!
-
Bloody hell, thats Sooo far-fetched....... 139238 nah, spot on !!! 139535 Its not really! Most terrorists are just gutless vermin who wouldn't give a shit about whats best for their family and are doing what they do because they're complete scum! But i suspect that storyline each week would draw complaints

It was never the same for me after the Tom Quinn character left. 139520 Why, did you fancy him?

I tend to think like you on this. Where Souness was a braindead fuckwitt who put his own childish ego ahead of the club paying him a fortune to fuck it up, Roeder has intellligence and does his best for the club. So he isn't stupid enough to slag off his own players just before he's trying to sell them and will if anythign talk them up and suggest we want to keep them and will offer possibly contracts...but will "reluctantly" listen to offers etc.

I'd keep Bowyer and be delighted to see Butt off the wage bill, but as said above, we will struggle to find a club in the prem willing to sign him and match his current wages.
-
About time they sorted it out either way. And to be honest even if he is desperate to go to Villa i'd refuse just to piss O'Leary off and find somebody else to sell him to if he had to leave. But i'd rather keep him and see what he can do here.
-
I don't want them first as we'll have to sit ther and endure the taunts about how they're the biggest and greatetst team in the region and how they won the uefa cup whilst we watched the Bill...oh wait a moment none of thats true and their sad little fans are in for a verbal caning when we next play them!!! Yes, smogs at home first will do me nicely.

I bought series 1 as soon as it came out and am now waiting for however long it takes to gets series 2 out. Series 1 is definately the best of the two, but both well worth owning. And Mark Heap as Alan Statham is worth getting it for alone.

If Owen decides to keep the no. 10 shirt and we signed a genuine class striker to play alongside them the i'd give them the no.9 shirt straight away. You give the 9 and 10 shirts to the two strikers you fel are your first choice and will be starting when everyone is fit and if we start a season with Shola as a first choice striker i'd be worried!

We can't expect miracles from the king of the hypocrites, but as Luckyluke said at least its a start. Mind you i suspect it will also be a start and indeed an end, but still its better than usual!

Indeed! I'm not against a geunine qualification, one that shows they've come out the end of the course having learned and been able to apply what they've learned by being tested. Then i would say all clubs have the right to know which managers have and haven't attended this geuinely useful and vigorously tested qualification, but are free of their own will to chosse a boss who has it or hasn't as they see fit.
-
But you'd still take them more seriously than Fathers For Justice!
-
Until its an actual qualification that requires some level of learning and ability to pass an actual test or tests at the end of the course to show you have gained knowledge, skills and experience that will genuinely make you a better football coach then people will quute rightly continue to point out its a pointless "qualification" that bears no reflection on how good or bad a manager is and you will getarguments like this one. And football management isn't life or death heart surgery, if a club wants to employ a man who (shock horror) doesn't have a bit of paper that says he sat on his arse at enough hours of lectures to please the LMA it should remain their choice to emply him regardless. Whereas if i was having an operation i would require that the surgeon had indeed passed the relevent exams, of course he would actually have to pass them and not just go to enough lectures to get the certificate.

They're like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but achieve less. 138906 Who are Aqua Teen Hunger Force? 138909 They're like Fathers For Justice, but achieve more. 138921 If you're really interested Cath, go here: AQUA

...that are usually covered in piss 139063 Is Fish saying he finds 'scrubs' sexy, or has he been down Ann Summers again? 139066 Didn't you know? We all dress like Barbara Windsor in Carry On Doctor. These suspenders and stilettos can be a bugger when I'm tottering over to maternity.... 139068 "Ooh matron!"

But would you really like to punch him, or is it just an expression?
-
He really needs to make sure he avoids that. Hamed always came across as a complete prick and pain in the arse and i was happy when he was finally put on his arse and ended up finishin with boxing. Khan needs to make sure he keeps his feet on the ground and has an attitude like Ricky Hatton, not Hamed. As whilst i don't know much about boxing i'm pretty sure Khan hasn't beaten anyone that worthwhile yet so he has no call to be thinking much of himself yet.

As i've said before its quite obvious how sad and bitter they have become at the fact their pointless little organisation has been put firmly in its place when the chairmen of the premiership decided they knew better. As Leazes said its there for the egos and pomposity of the pricks in charge of the LMA and as soon as it became clear there was a good chance Roeder and NUFC were goign to be able to get round their petty little rules, they have been bitter and twisted and thrown a tantrum. The course itself and the fact you are required to have it is one of the biggest jokes in football. You can't make people have to have a "qualification" which as we all know requires nothing other than going often enough and which is little more than an attempt to get money from managers. It doesn't even have much if anything to do with actual coaching of football, fitness and tactics or anything like that. Essentially the bit of paper for this course means nothing more than being able to say you're as qualified as Graeme Souness or Howard Wlkinson, that being the case i'd rather not have it! As Leazes said any moron could "pass" the course, it requires only one thing, that you can afford it. So in fact it technically discriminates on a finacial basis which is yet another thing wrong with it. Another thing the LMA liked to keep ignoring is the fact Roeder has stated he will complete it and will even pay to rejoin the LMA despite them treating him worse than shite. So we have a man who has managed in the premiership, who was workign at a prem club as a coach, who had shown since taking over he was moe compitent than a man with the liscence and who is willign to finish their stupid course when he can. And they act as if Roeder has killed their family or something, they're a bunch of petty litlle men and whilst Shepherd doesn't need to keep coming out and saying stuff, his sentiment is correct.
-
I thought Fred was right to defend Roeder and have a go at the pricks at the LMA, (though he should have done it without twatting on about them being geordies as if that was rellivent). However it was done and over with and there was no need to drag it up again with this. Its unquestionable that fans of other clubs up and down the country think he's anything from a joke to a complete arsehole and whilst that in itself doesn't bother me it does bother me that their opinion could be shared by potential managers, investors and other important people. As for the testimonial i don't think the booing at Shearers televised game was the best choice to make and it wouldn't make our fans look that great. But if it had happened when Souness was at the club and they'd booed him i would have appaluded it, so i can't really have a go a people who hate Fred booing him.
-
Would have been better if Arsenal said this from the start instead of saying the ref was a barca fan and robbed them. But fair play to Wenger, i criticise him alot, quite rightly, but he deserves some credit here for finally seeing something one of his players has done, admitting they've done it and said he's going to stamp it out.

Nowt worse than a band stagnating. Rehashing the stuff that was popular, scared to just do what they want because they have to cater to their demographic. I look at Oasis and see what Radiohead could have become. I thank christ they didn't. 138832 I'd like to have seen Oasis release their 3rd album onwards under an alias and see what critics and fans thought of them without the name Oasis and the first 2 albums to affect opinions. Anyone seriously think the music world would have batted an eyelid at those albums without the Oasis hype and reputation colouring peoples views.

I've said for ages its embarassing that NUFC never seem to buy any cheap young players and turn them into genuine class players, or ever buy any experienced class players, perhaps slightly past their peak who are also cheap and use their ability plus experince in the team and helping younger players. We never seem to do well with fress or bosman type transfers and never seem to make much of any loand deals going. With us its spend a fortune on players, often ending up with complete failures and a waste of millions. Even when we buy youngsters its often for millions, ie £5m or £6m for JJ and Dyer rather than like say Charlton getting Bent for £2m/£2.5m We need to bring in some proven top class players obviously, but also a few bargians at either end of the age scale to build our currently understrength squad.

Since he took over Roeder has on many occasions politely or subtley ripped the piss out of what absolute fucking clowns Souness and his regime were with regards even the very simple, basic things anybody in football would know. And fair play to Roeder for doing it!
