1. I imagine the following day they found every male pupil in detention having not done their homework!
2. So's Papa L, he was telling me tonight. Jesus H! I'm 15 stone! As for you Ritchie, you've been packing the beef on of late - FACT! 126128 Yes i'm 9 stone now as supposed to my previously svelt 8-8.5 stone i used to be! And unless Bridget has moved seats just to sit next to Dan (and who wouldn't ) she does usually sit in the Gallowgate.
3. Exactly, I think if O'Neill went to Boro I would lose all respect for him as the only thing they can offer him that we can't is an easy life. 122226 And i think he strikes you as somebody who likes a challenge, has ambition and wants to test himself.
4. Luckilly (especially for him) he isn't a proper mackem, just when he was younger he was a fan of a particular SAFC player and sort of supported the team at the time. When it come to choosing possibly the most important job in his career so far he won't be wondering what the mackems think about it! And it would be so much fun to see how gutted the mackems would be if he took over NUFC.
5. I think Roeder's done an excellent job and his record in the prem as has been shown would see us in or around 4th place, but long term i'd like to see somebody else coming in, with Roeder remianing at the club however. But as somebody said, there are far worse appointments than Roeder we could make, just that there are better ones we could make as well.
6. I just can't see it at all that O'Neil would choose the smogs over us. Its the way football works, he'd choose us over them and would choose the manu's, arsenals, and Liverpools over us. We will offer him anything they'd pay him, we'd match any transfer budget they'd offer him, we'd offer a far more realisitic chance of matching the top 4 (or at least challenging them), we have bigger and better crowds in all competitions, etc. etc.
7. Despite the fact i've said all along we will be in for a really hard game as this is literally all they have to play for this season, i'm still going for a 2-0 or 3-1 win with Big Al amongst the goals.
8. If we can end the season in 7th place (whatever it may or may not get us) its a hell of an effort by Roeder considering the abject heap of shite Souness left behind that was heading straight for relelgation. Overall Roeder's record in the prem has been excellent. He's lost away to manu when they were on probably their best run of form in years and at home to the current european champions neither of which is a disgrace. The only slip ups would be against Charlton really. And he's done it all with just as many injuries as Souness, done it without any games from Owen, done it with at times only 4 fit defenders (and 1 of those was Boumsong!), yet never felt the need to whinge about injuries constantly.

Hmmmmm

If i were England boss and Dyer wasn't completely out injured i'd take him like a shot. Its a big enough squad to risk one player and love him or hate him, he can change games coming off the bench against any defence in the world and would give England that option if Plan A isn't working.
10. Shite defending from both sides every time i turn around from the comp to have a look at the game. Could easilly go either way, buti can see a few more goals if they don't improve.
11. Euphemism for sticking a mobile phone up your arse? 119046 If not, then it should be!
12. A few i encountered: Alone once again, she retired to the bedroom and began perpetuating the fishbowl. Well, I know what I'll be doing this weekend. poking the great forbidden enchilada! Like most guys his age, he wasn't above harvesting the Welsh goggles.
13. Absolutely agree, that moment changed the whole momentum of the game. 118262 Subbing Shearer has been a problem for a while, but fortunately it isn't going to be an issue after this season, because there's been games this season when he wasn't playing well or really just needed a break and should have been taken off.
14. Agree with that. When Everton got there i was laughing at what a joke it was and said categorically they'd bomb straight out in the qualifiers and then do shite in the uefa before returning to where their style of football belongs. But Spurs have an intelligent euro coach, some better players than Everton and could take advantage of the CL leaving us with yet another club to chase thanks to Souness. So normally i'd love the idea of the arse finding themselves out of the CL, but in this case its probably best they scrape past Spurs.
15. And then feel even worse when you get dumped out of both cup competitons and end the season with nothing AND below NUFC.
16. Nice one from Roeder, ball going out, pretends to pick it up then leaves it!
17. Yeah, alot of people increased their dislike of the tossers after that disgraceful incident. And they should never live down the embarassment of a prem club being too scared to play their rivals and deliberately cheating to bottle out of a game. Whats worse is they'd done it before during another injury crisis (forget who against) and before that there was the infamous Blackburn game when they refused to play...absolute micky mouse club and fans at times!
18. Theres been shedloads of freekicks in this game, both side having a good go at each other by the sounds of it.
19. It does sum their fans up like. Any club may have chosen to play soemthign as shite as Pigpag (though fortunately nobody else did) but only a bunch of dickheads would actually embrace it and love singing it week in week out no matter how much the rest of the country are laughing at them.
20. Going to be an uncomfortable end now sadly. we never like an easy finish to things do we!
21. Its always been a massive thing for the smogs and at times they're as sad as the mackems in their obsession with us (check the bitterness on their messageboard!). But for toon fans its never the same, some couldn't give a toss about Boro and some like me think of it as more than just another prem game but not the same as a derby against the mackems. And most of it comes from their annoying fans and wanting to see us give them a good kicking every time we play them rather than a local rivalry.
22. The game sums Shola up though. It shows that when he wants to he can play well and has the ability to trouble teams, but its also show the other side, that before the goal he missed 2 easy chances which could have been very costly if the smogs had scored. But on current form he's playing far better than Shearer and has knocked in a few goals, so its a step in the right direction!
23. I don't hate them...i'd just like to see every last one of them castrated and strung up on crosses until they learn to do the job they are overpaid to do
24. Theres a shocker, the ammount of absolute undebatable pens i've seen us had turned down this season is an embrassment to the officials of this country. That would be game over if scored so if the smogs get anything out this game the ref can take his share of the credit as usual. 118091 I blame Souness. 118094 Very true, and if Bellamy was here we'd have got the pen!
