  1. Screen grab it then you big old megalomaniac, you.
  2. A young loan striker will most likely be as unproven as Armstrong, Mitrovic, Gayle or Perez. Yet you want a 1st team regular, so why would you want a loan striker? A striker, proven at this level, is someone like Ross McCormack who'll cost £10m and it's not a position that I think we need to improve the starter's quality as a priority. Depth, sure, but Mitro, Perez & Gayle should be good enough to get about 50-55 between them. Look at the top goal scorers for the past few seasons; https://www.statbunker.com/competitions/TopGoalScorers?comp_id=420 I mean, Rudy Gestede managed 20 for Blackburn in 14/15 and he's scored less in the 15/16 Premier League than Perez! Hernandez and Gestede both scored for fun in the Championship and both weren't as good as our strikers were in the Premier League.
  3. As DK says, it looks like he's Rafa's 1st choice CB, so I suggested him because I expect him to play a lot.
  4. I'd like another striker to be brought in simply because if Mitro gets a long injury/ban we don't have anyone who can hold the ball up like him. But the standard needn't be greater than Mitrovic (who I think will take to the league as Carroll did) he needs to be a sub. Given that, we wouldn't get a loan signing like Iheanacho because if City let him go they'd want him to start and we can't guarantee that. Is much of your desire to bring in a loan player because you don't fancy Mitrovic (9/22 in the Prem), Perez (13/76), Gayle (15/64) to score goals in the Championship?
  5. It wasn't, but his decline was as sharp as it was unexpected. I think Lascelles is my pick for the captaincy.
  6. That's fair. DK is a good movie, a great movie even, but it's not really competing in the same sport as The Godfather, or Shawshank. That doesn't mean it's shit though. Mind you, I find the common criticisms of Superhero movies odd, people wanting soul or gravitas? It's a Comic Book movie. If someone wants a contemplative movie, why are you settling down for a couple of hours to watch a man in a tight fitting suit throw a physics-defying shield at people? Doesn't mean Captain America: Civil War is a bad movie, it's just not your bag. It's certainly ticks all the technical boxes, it's witty in its own way and it's a perfectly fine was for a grown man to spend a few hours of escapism. But it's superheros, so, y'know, it's for kids and that's that. Often I don't want a weighty movie like Tyrannosaur, I want to watch Iron Man. As Chez once said, sometimes you don't want steak, you just fancy a kebab. Well, I fancy these kebabs quite often. Also Mark Kermode likes them, so stick that up your Scarlet Witch.
  7. At the same time as they're being dismissed because they're comics.
  8. I literally googled that phrase in Toontastic and it didn't return anything. I'd like to know the context of that assertion.
  9. Again, not really, but you don't care so I won't bother explaining why you're wrong.
  10. There are more players that we could sign permanently that are improvements to our side from the wider world, than there are fringe players at top clubs who would join us on loan. We'd be better off buying Che Adams than loaning Patrick Bamford. We'd be better off owning the Atletico Madrid fullback, than borrowing Spurs 4th choice fullback.
  11. You're right, it doesn't matter who said it as long as someone did, but I can't find anyone saying that.
  12. Really?! He went missing in a few games and pumping his fist and launching into tackles isn't really captain material for me.
  13. http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/franchise/Marvel-Cinematic-Universe#tab=summary "destroyed the Super Hero film" You don't like them, cool, but they're demonstrably successful and critically acclaimed so to dismiss the entire panoply as "shit" because they don't give you what you want from them is frankly stupid.
  14. Well he's not really, they've been widely praised and not just by nerds and geeks. They've oscar nominations and staggering sales, they're both critically and publically acclaimed, but because they're about superheros and explosions they're more often than not dismissed as shit by old men. That's fine, crack on and be earnestly intrigued by a VHS of a korean movie that is really important.
  15. Speaking of that, who would be a good shout for the captaincy?
  16. By your own admission you don't know the 1st 11 of the top clubs, so how would you possibly have heard of the kind of player we're going to get? Haven't you also dismissed stats previously? And Football brains?
