Marveaux managed 4 assists & 1 goal in 24 games in Ligue 1 last season, Ben Arfa has 2 assists & 7 goals in 17 games in Ligue 1 so far this season. Yet you've never seem enamoured with wor Hatem.

Marveaux hasn't played a minute of Premier League football for us since March 25th 2014. He's managed the sum total of 2 hours of U21 football and you reckon he should start? Stop being silly.

Part of the issue for me. It's become a staple like "Toon Toon", "N and an E and a Wubble U C". We shouldn't be singing about the arseholes down the road more than we are our own players. Mbemba's the only one with a chant these days (we've understandably dropped the Colo chant). We don't even sing anti-Ashley songs anymore.

His game really benefits from the space left by a more mobile forward partnership. If the centre backs are getting pulled around, he can isolate the fullback and really attack him.
