Bah. 15" of snow since yesterday morning. No one has shoveled, making my commute a pain in the ass. I bicycle about 9 miles to and from work. When there is that much snow on the ground, biking is very difficult. Of course, it's mildly amusing to me that for about a third of that a good portion of the country would be shut down, whereas here we get to work about 15 minutes later and apologize for it.

huh. I hadn't noticed, but looking at .com now, they even mention the Soccer Bowl victory. That's going to rub salt in the wound every year for a while now when it shows up.

Having just watched him score a critical goal but then miss a penalty in the shootout (although is team won, over mine, of course) in the US Second Division Championship, Carl Cort comes to mind. £7 million....

Aye, more space = looking better. Sameobi and Obertan can dribble by 3-4 guys because no one is tight on them right when the receive the ball.

I remember seeing these last year. Some real gems. I really love the guy on the end holding onto the girls purse for dear life

Oi. Less with the petty bickering. More with the cheering me up and relieving my boredom!

That was dire. About the level of the NASL (USA 2nd division) matches I attend. Edit: especially with regards to the quality of the officiating. -

Are we really not going to win this game? -
Here's the 2006 shirt which bore a striking resemblance to the Escape to Victory shirts: Here's the "denim" kit from 1994: And here's what was rumored to be the away shirt this year before it was released. Thank God it was a fake.

This is actually rather funny, in retrospect.

Seems odd to dig up an old post from 2006 for the purpose? Any way to see where the referrals are coming from?

Left out the grape soda.

Why go to Villa when Liverpool and Spurs are bidding? Unless it's a massive pay raise, same level as Fulham.

This. There's no way to put the genie back in the bottle when there's something like 12 guns per person in this country.

That is clearly a concertina, not an accordion.

We'll see. The Stars currently don't have an owner, so this would be a different group. If there's an MLS team in the Vikings stadium, it won't be until at least 2017 or so, which is a bit far out to predict with any particular accuracy. I'll believe it when I see it. From my point of view, the MLS talk is just a smokescreen by the Wilfs to convince the state to pony up more money on the idea that this billion dollar stadium will get more than 8 games a year.

My gigantic gut takes up the lower third of the number 2.

Even with a side that maintains current quality through ins and outs, I would say that we should return to the scheduled expectation which would have had us hoping for top half this year and nipping about the European places next season. That would do me just fine, provided we show decently in the Europa League, put in decent runs in the cup(s) etc. Just don't want to go too far backwards. Holding steady would be a good achievement, IMO. 8th.

I'm watching an Italian feed and was wondering what the hell was going on with them.
