  1. I can't see how a negative mindset would have had the impact on Tiote you're suggesting it's had. Although I do agree that between November and mid January, Pardew was too negative and nervy (as was the club as a whole).
  2. I remember standing in Es Paradis, not having a clue where I was and asking one of the lads when we'd got there. After that rock bar was the answer to which I replied what rock bar was that? The previous two hours were a complete mystery to me!
  3. I'm like that every Sunday if I've been out on the Saturday night. Last week was particularly bad and I was like ghost on Monday. Worst I've ever felt through lack of sleep and I can't imagine how bad proper insomnia is.
  4. I did through til eight in the morning in Benidorm a couple of years ago and then went back on the drink for about half ten through to six the next morning. Again I was chemically enhanced. I think if you have a few days to a week of it you can keep going alright. But I was in the Powerhouse until after six a couple of years ago and then stayed in bed pretty much all day on the Sunday and I was cattled for days after.
  5. Those circles have certainly decreased now. RIP
  6. Of course it is. But what you're suggesting is that Pardew's anti coaching has only had it's effect this season after almost two years of what has widely been considered the best form of his career (which you're saying has nothing to do with Pardew). That makes no sense at all. Personally I believe it's totally down to him trying to do too much when we've been short of senior players. I think he'll get back to his best once he gets back into the swing of things in a settled team.
  7. A Matter Of Life And Death didn't do anywhere near as much for me although I still enjoyed it. I think Black Narcissus might be the only other one of theirs I've seen and I can't say I enjoyed that much at all tbf. Something just hit a chord with Blimp though, just a perfect Sunday afternoon film.
  8. First time I ever took a gary ablet in Ibiza I must have been up well over 24 hours and I'm not sure if I went out that night again too without having any sleep. Although I can remember very little about it other than trying to talk to some scottish bloke in the hotel bar and not being able to finish a single conversation as I'd fortgotten what we talking about half way through. Similarly in Ibiza for the Millenium new year I ended up in Space until well into the afternoon on new years day, had a lie down by the pool for an hour and then went back out til about six the next morning. Having never gone to uni my only reasons for ever staying awake that long have been drink, drugs and sex and more often than not a bit of all three!
  9. I loved Blimp. I remember I watched it one Sunday afternoon a few years ago and was totally enthralled by it. Roger Livesey was amazing in the title role. I lent it (had it on a double set with A Matter Of Life And Death) so someone at work shortly before they left and I never got it back
  10. Modest Mouse are better but Built To Spill are good too. Going Against Your Mind is an awesome track. Six Music are playing the Atoms For Peace album all day. So far I've heard four songs and they all sound pretty good. A lot like The Eraser which I loved so I'm expecting this is going to be a favourite album for me this year. They also played a new song 2013 from Primal Scream which seemed in keeping with the better parts of their back catalogue so I'm quite hopeful for their new album too.
  11. That's a bit unfair to Wigan really. Walsall or Wimbledon would be more his standard to be honest. I think the lack of confidence comes from him really being a gutless twat. He really does have the heart the size of a pea. He needs to go in the summer.
  12. He was very successful under Pardew last season. Basically he's only been managed by anyone else here for a few month so are you suggesting that up until this season everything positive that he's done here was down to Hughton or his coaches at other teams and everything poor this season is down to Pardew?
  13. If you are talking up players as being awe inspiring (and I agree Maradona was certainly this) you could easily include the likes of Gazza, Laudrup, Weah, Ginola and many others. I think when going for the best player in the world you need to have more. Gazza had he been better advised could have possibly been up there but I think his lack of intelligence would have always hampered him. Maradona was awe inspiring (I still say his goal against England was the best I've ever seen) but he did it along with being massively successful so that's why he's the best for me. I do think by the time he retires though, Messi will have taken over him though.
  14. It's Sunday and I'm hungover. What do you want from me
  15. I like Elementary but I agree with HF's criticisms. I think they are what keeps it from being really top notch. Johnny Lee Miller is really good in it. It's no where near as good as Sherlock though. That is much cleverer and much more in line with what Sherlock Holmes is all about.
  16. Do you mean Obertan? He's fucking lazy as fuck if you ask me.
  17. Aye the first booing was definitely aimed at the team and quite separate from the booing for the officials (which was far louder). And there was plenty of applause. I assume the applause came from the regulars rather than the bellends like that kid who ran on the pitch. I thought we'd win comfortably like but they were definitely better than I was expecting.
  18. He's got one of those faces you'd never tire of kicking regardless if he's guilty or not. My loathing of Coronation street would be complete if he did turn out to be a nonce!
  19. We missed Gouffran last night. Not only because that fucking moron Obertan played instead of him!
  20. Couldn't believe anyone booed at the end. I really do fucking hate European crowds.
  21. First goal wasn't even close to being offside. The second was touch and go but would have expected it to be allowed. I agree about Obertan, he's fucking hopeless and Marveaux was clearly a better option. No choice other than to put Shola on though. Overall we played ok although I think we are trying to play a European game and we aren't really very good at it. Much better to stick with the pace we play at in the premiership. Mbiwa looked like a quality player (being played a bit out of position) and Sissoko continues to impress. Will be tough over there especially as I expect some changes to be made to the team with the Southampton game in mind.
  22. The talk is of Cabye, Tiote and Sissoko in the centre so I could see Pardew wanting to give Anita a run out (given that he was actually one of our better players before the new boys came in and as such was unlucky to be dropped) which would possibly mean rightback. Be interesting to see where they think Haidara is at (ie is he good enough to be starting games).
  23. Took me a while to realise they're makem players. They really are the most insignificant players in the premier league. I would probably recognise more of Reading or Southampton's players than them.
  24. You tart. Get her (or him, I'm not judging!) telt some things are more important!
