We should have had him years ago but given the lack of depth we have at centre back I think this would be a very good move for us. He looked good whenever I saw him for Arsenal last season and his experience at this level will help all of our other central defenders. Plus, if we do have a limited transfer fund, signing him on a free would mean that we aren't spunking it all away what could end up only being cover for Taylors injury.

Best Coast - Crazy For You Nice summery girly indie pop. Very slight but fun.
-
Not sure I agree with that. I thought one of the biggest problems with Neon Bible was it seemed a bit slight. I like this being a bit more grand.
-
You a fan of their previous albums Sloop? I'm listening to this for a second time now and I think it really good actually. Much more interesting than Neon Bible which (while enjoyable) just seemed like more of Funeral but not as good. This seems like they've took their time over it and it's really paid off. It's not a major change in direction or anything like that, just an increase in quality. Not better than OK Computer like the BBC review suggests but yet another very good album for the year.

Still their best film for my money. The Rebound. As you would expect but unfortunately I'd already seen anything remotely decent at the pics! -
Looked terrible in recent pics so this is no surprise at all. RIP

Think the team he put out was blatently experimental. I'm not concerned about the loss in the least. Look at some of the other results yesterday. It means nowt.

Can't remember ever watching a worse film (and I've seen all the Twilight series!). A completely bewildering mess from start to finish. The only thing I found remotely enjoyable was there was some tits. -

The Roots - How I Got Over. Loving it

HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! One of the best English prospects in the league? Who the fuck have you been speaking too? Seriously mate he's ok with the potential to be a decent enough player... he will never be good enough to play international football and will never be good enough to command a place in a top 6 or 7 team. Dont get me wrong for a newly promoted club with little money to spend its a good signing, but I suggest the non-everton people you have been speaking to actually go and watch players properly before making such poor observations about them. I would say on current ability he's a 5/10. He has the potential to be a 6.5/10 player if he progresses to his maximum potential abilty. Are you a regular attender of Everton games Andy? I do think your assesment sounds honest but I'm interested to know how backed up it is. And I would say Gosling has regularly been talked up by football people as a great prospect (whether this is right or wrong I don't know but obviously I hope it's right). I get to a few games a year but watch pretty much every match on the internet or telly when I cant get there. A lot of players get talked up because they do one good thing without "those in the know" actually seeing the player when they are having a nightmare most games. I mean just look at the shower of shite that is Lee Dixon and Mark Bright to see that those in the know are quite often clueless morons. Gosling scored the winner for us against Liverpool in the FA CUP and as a result was catapulted to a certain degree in to the media's attention... therefore he gets seen to be this great prospect. If these people actually watched the player week in week out (well when he was getting a game) they'd have seen that his overall game is limited. I agree wholheartedly with what you're saying there but I would also fire back at you that I don't believe you can truely see the value of a player by seeing him play live on only a few occassions and watching the rest on tv/internet. I'm not saying the kid if class or anything because I truly don't know but I'd rather take the honest opinion of someone who's seen him play 'live' more regularly. Of course due the way he's left you, I think an honest opinion will be fairly difficult to come by. Yeah but I know many people and speak to many people who go to games every week (home and away) and their opinion is exactly the same as mine. Like I say he's ok but not amazing. A good signing for a newly promoted club and has potential to be a useful player but never amazing. Feel free to log on to one of the Everton forums and have a chat with Everton fans there if you want a proper insight rather than taking mine or some other guys (or the media's) word for it. As for the way he left us? Its not like the whole Rooney situation where the fans litteraly hated him beyond belief. Gosling is very insignificant to us and our future, the loss is the potential money not the player... I think most fans are quite uninterested in Gosling himself other that to think he's got a bit of a cheek, but the board are who we are VERY angry with for the situation. Fair enough, like I said, I do believe you're giving your honest opinion and I've had a look through some Everton forums and there doesn't seem to be many people particularly bothered about losing him. But when you have players like Cahill, Arteta, Fellaini, Peinar, Rodwell etc in front of him that quite possibly doesn't reflect that badly on the kid. Others have likened him to Leon Osman which maybe is the kind of player you're suggesting he could turn out like anyway which wouldn't be too bad for us at all. Just for the record this is a humble poster right here. Listened to what i said, wasn't sure if he believed me or not, did a bit of digging around and said "yeah fair enough maybe you're right". So I take back that the humble supporter has disappeared on here as there are still some around I aint that humble, I do actually agree with a fair bit of what Stevie posted (albeit I certainly wouldn't have said it in the same way). Don't agree that you are a chanpionship club but I certainly don't agree with you that you would be much bigger than us if you got a new stadium. We are a bigger, better supported club but you have a considerably better team at the moment and are much better run than us (but us being badly run is something very few people on here would argue with).

I've had a year or so of that (mind you my ipod fucked up so I can't put anything new on it which has probably had a lot to do with it) but now I'm ready for as much new stuff as I can find. Which this year seems to be of a very high quality I'm happy to say.

Well I liked it Just listened to the new Jamie Liddle one and on first listen it hasn't grabbed me as much as Multiply (which admittedly took me ages to get into) or Jim. Band Of Horses - Infinate Arms

How do you mean excellent? Acting. I personally think he has turned into a good actor. Catch me if you can, Shutter Island, Inception etc etc. Think he's actually starting to not look twelve now too. I've always thought he was a good actor though going back to the Basketball Diaries. -
I've listened to it once and enjoyed it. I love the sound of this type of thing but I usually find that they never have a any songs that I can really grab hold of and keep coming back to. I've always found Radio Dept like that and I hoping that I'm going to like their new one more with the good reviews it's had. Broken Bells - Broken Bells Bit like the above actually except I'm really loving The High Road. Heavens on fire. Keep going back to that for the piano. Best track on the new album. Will probably give it a listen today so I'll let you know what I think.

Wolf Parade - Expo 86 More like Appologies than Mt Zoomer which for me is a very good thing. Not sure it's as strong as their debut but I'm certainly enjoying it and it's much more the direction I prefer them to go in.

Inception is getting mixed reviews. Lot's of people salivating over the complexity of it. Lot's of people aying it's only complex if you're 12. Toy Story 3 is getting raves across the board as far as I've seen. No-one has a bad word for it. I have a bit of a problem with "which is better" they're just about as different as its possible for two maor releases to be, no reason you wouldnt enjoy both without preferring either seen inception and loved it, not for its complexity (didnt think it was over the top complex for sci fi, no time travel for a start) but because its actually a good film, good characters well acted, pretty basic story behind the dream stuff but its still enjoyable and some absolutely awesome scenes throughout They are both comfortably the best two films I've seen this year. Saw Inception on Friday and Toy Story last night and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Toy Story is more of the same so if you enjoyed the first two I can't see any reason why you wouldn't enjoy this one. -
He'll fit in nicely to our midfield then!

State of Play. Very All The Presidents Men like (only not as good and without such a good cast (although the cast is still rather good)). Thought the ending was a bit much but enjoyed it other then that. -
Definitely not the real thing. Some of the songs are and are very good though. Perfume Genius - Learning. Lovely!
