  1. One of them is Jasper Olsen isn't it? Class player.
  2. This is all well and good if you already have a (or at least the majority of) first team in place. We simply don't and therefore need Keegan to concentrate on that.
  3. Are Sweden playing? They are usually the pick of the bunch like!
  4. Tbh I'd rather we signed a player based on having him scouted before a major international tournament than how he played in it. They are a terrible gauge of a player. Kazim Richards looked class the other night for Turkey and he was wank in the premiership and emember even Gary Breen looked like a top player one year and he was shite even by makem standards.
  5. Even though he plays for Birmingham? Yeah the fact that ones a Dane and the other is Swedish too! I don't think he's any better than the players we have in our squad at the moment (and I don't think much of those). He lacks the pace to be top player and I'm sure we could attract better. I must say though I am getting a bit concerned with what Ashley's game plan is for us, I know there's not much concrete evidence yet (and the one confirmation we do have is a very promissing bid for Modric) but it's looking like we're trying to do things on the cheap and that Keegan isn't going to get anywhere near the money that was predicted. And I don't think he's good enough at the other parts of the game to really progress us without it.
  6. He'd just be another Alan Smith in our squad anyway, not good enough to be first choice striker and no kind of a midfielder at all. No thanks.
  7. Just making them up. We never had a rule book or owt As I thought. Did you play British Bulldog too? I thought everyone played that. It was especially cool as it was banned at first school. Understandably since the only bit of the yard that wasn't concrete was a bit of grass about 5 x 5 yards that you weren't allowed on. Aye it was banned at ours too. And yet it is Tuggy. No tuggy butcher though!
  8. Doesn't Mutu play up front for them? German expressionism, now there was a film movement. Metropolis Dr. Caligari Dr Caligari is ok but nowt special. That final scene of The 400 Blows did nothing to change my mind but I did think the bit in the other link where the kid kept making a mess of his book was quite funny. If the rest of the film was like that I may have been entertained.
  9. We used to hide on roof's of abandonded houses and round the rising sun park/farmers fields but we still called it hide and seek. I can remember that arrow game (although I think we just scratched on the arrows with stones rather than use chalk) but I'll be buggered if I can remember what it was. I seem to remember a game we called polo too.

  11. I wouldn't bother, it's possibly the worst film I've ever watched. Was going to say hated it from start to finish but I didn't quite make the end becuase after sitting through more than an hour of absolute boredom I switched it off before the end. It's all in the final shot. So it is worth watching? I've heard that before but whatever that final shot is I can't believe watching an hour and a half of the most boring shite before can justify it. Just for David Kelly... The last 7 minutes. I'll bet this makes it worse. Just comes up with sorry the clip is no longer available which pretty much does the job for me
  12. Btw has anyone ever spelt these words before or are we just making the spelling up here as we go?
  13. Aye I think that's pretty much it.
  14. Would you not hear that if you still played leavergo? Is that the same a Leavo? Fur (used (if I remember rightly) when suggesting bollocks was being talked) If Leavo is like blocka but you have to catch the people you find and shout "leavergo by a one two three" rather than "Block X by a one two three" then they have to join you in hunting down who's left, then aye. Never heard of blocka tbh but it sounds like hide and seek. Anyway I think we're talking about pretty much the same thing.

  17. Lovely work. Intellectual but also light. Check "Alphaville" mate. And "Le Chinoise". Ta, I've heard Mempris (sp?) is a good one too. Also stars Bridget Bardot Alex, weekend is worth a look for his later 60s work, also Bande à part. Agree with parky (this time only) on Alphaville. If you can find it Hiroshima Mon Amour by Alain Resnais is an awesome French New Wave film. Along with 400 Blows, it's on the 'list'. Watched Get Carter last night btw. Pretty good and Nicholson and Freeman are always worth a watch but it wasn't really the comedy I was expecting. Might fuck it off then, given I rate your taste buds in these matters. That's very flattering. What you after
  18. Decent Days and Nights is a good song and Hounds of Love is a canny cover of a brilliant song but that's about all they have really and as HF says they're makems so that's more than enough reason to give it a miss.

  20. I would fucking hope not, he's shite. And I would assume the car was an R8.
  21. Fucking awfull is how I'd describe it.
  22. Naqoyqatsi. This images didn't do much for me but the music is fantastic and I've downloaded the music from the trilogy on the back of it. I imagine it's a canny watch on a come down.
  23. Aye I thought it was pretty good, more interesting than most of the origin story's we get for the first outing of a suphero franchise (although that might be because I haven't seen it done a million times before a la Batman/Superman/Spiderman/Hulk). Downey Jr and Bridges are obviously very good and whatshername isn't too annoying thankfully.
  24. Can you copy Football Manager? One of the lads at work has it and I was wondering if there is a way to copy it because I assume it's like the old ones where you have to have the disk in to play it. Cheers
