I can understand why people are against Allardyce, he's an easy man to dislike if your not supporting the team he's managing. Under him Bolton have been a physical team who don't exactly play football in a way that is a joy to watch. He wouldn't be my first choice if we had any manger in world football to pick from but quite obviously after the last two appointments the very top managers are not knocking our door down. Allardyce does have a lot of the attributes our fans have been crying out for the last few seasons. Under him Bolton have become a team that no one likes to play against and who regularly take points of the the top four clubs. They are well organised and seem to have a good coaching set up (one that has been maintained even after senior members have left to take up managerial posts of their own). All of these things are the complete opposite of how things have been going here since Robson left (at least). He has also managed to get the best out of the players he has had many of whom were thought to be lacking in quality orfinished before he signed them. Speed is a obvious example but also look at the likes of Kevin Davies. He went to clubs for big money and was a complete flop who looked to be heading down the divisons. At Bolton he has been transformed. Some of the players that have been and are still at the club have underperformed immensly and I don't buy claims that they aren't really good enough or that Newcastle is such a hard place to come and play because of the pressures the fans put on the players. Hopefully if Allardyce does come he might finally be able to get some performances out of the likes of Dyer, Emre, Duff and others because I do believe we still have good players here. I have reservations about appointing someone who has only managed at smaller clubs in the past but least he has done it well for most part and showed a steady progression and hopefully he can show the same type of progression with us. Under Souness and Roeder we have gone miles backwards and I'm sure if Allardyce can show some forward movement (which is really all Robson did in his first couple of seasons) then he will be afforded the time it takes to do the job.

That is the most astounding post I have ever read I personally would accept Hitler as manager with Phol Pott as his number 2 if we had the chance to become arrogant win-stuff all the time fans. Nice guys come second (or 11th-15th in our case) Immaterial anyway, ain't gonna happen sadly I'm not sure I'd go that far, turning Leazes park into a death camp just wouldn't sit right with me and there'd be a horrible smell on match days (although they could use the SOL as there's a stink there anyway). But to not want a bloke who's won just about everything there is to win to come and manage us because he's arrogant or whatever other character flaws are being attriuted to him is just laughable (even more so than believing it could actually happen in the first place). Does this also cover players too SSH? As I can't believe you are still supporting us with some of the pricks we have (have had recently) playing for us!

Allardyce set to become Newcastle boss by May 14
David Kelly replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
After our last two managerial appointments I refuse to get excited about this at all (not that Allardyce as manager excites me exactly anyway but it certainly would give me hope for the future again). -
I credit myself with passing probably the funniest rumour onto this board!

Why? talentless but got his chance because he's a lercal lad also a TOTAL cockend off the pitch as well, even before he broke into the first team he was swaggering about the place like he was the midfield lynchpion and fans favourite. The story about Dyer burning his twenty note? I'd not have been surprised to hear Jamie trying that, but missing and setting his gormless face ahad. fucking hate the bloke Fair doo's, I agree with the talentless but I always considered him harmless. Never saw anything of him off the pitch though.

Why?

Carr he's completely wank.

I'm glad someone else has asked that. It's been bugging me for ages.

I love Italian wine especially Barolo or Amarone. But I enjoy even a bog standard Valpolicela or Montepoluciano (my spelling is probably shite there). Masi Valpolicela is really nice.

Carroll wanted for promotion push at Foxes
David Kelly replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd prefer to see him go to a championship club as this would be a better indicator as to whether or not he will be likely to make the step up. But I would think letting him go to Carlilse until January and seeing how it goes from there would be a good idea. -
But even when he first came back, he didn't have to bust a gut for a manager who clearly didn't want him to be there. He could have sulked and not been arsed but he didn't. But at the end of the day Milner also knew that if it wasn't the mid transfer window it would be the summer one where he would be away from the fucking idiot that is rodent. I think people are actually missing the importance and effect his father passing would have had on him. He's still a kid and without that influence, especially if they were close, he's going to lose a lot of perspective in everything he does. Were they close? I seem to remember hearing the opposite (I might be talking complete bollocks here like). Either way you might well be right that this is effecting him. Wor lass lost her dad recently and she's having a terrible time.

Wasn't he pretty much dropped as soon as Duff was fit to play though? I'm not sure how you can make the claim that he took the huff the minute Duff arrived. His head has seemed to be down ever since Duff's arrival to me at least. I'm not saying I wouldn't be pissed off if I were in his position but I would keep trying to do something about it. I just haven't seen that from him. The whole problem stems from a poor use of our resources in the transfer window though.
-
I think it's fair to say that he does seem to have taken a huff at the arrival of Duff even before it became clear Duff wasn't performing. He should have tried to show he should be playing but he hasn't done that on the pitch and he has to take responsibility for that. Equally though it seems that Roeder's handling of the situation has been poor which has made matters worse. You can also add the fact that whoever has been playing left wing has been hamstrung by the fact that they have had very little support from the right footed centreback's who have usually occupied the left back spot behind them!

That says more about the guy who sold Speed than the guy who hired Clark Weren't they ultimiately the same fat person?
