  1. Rather have a good centrehalf with him tbh.
  2. Given Solano Taylor Rammage Babayarou Milner Dyer Parker Duff Martins Owen
  3. Did you ever get momento easter egg to work? I've never had the chance to try tbh. The missus keeps falling asleep early with the bairn so I'm having to sit up downstairs and the (shite) dvd recorder we have down there is region 2 only.
  4. He was fucking brillian in the second half by the way. As was Nobby.
  5. I think you missed out the decimal tbh!
  6. Let's face it the fat man and his cronnies manage to take a shit load out of the club as it is so any new owners would be able to make money without changing a thing!
  7. *remembers the scene well and chortles* Is that basically the same joke as the kids on Lethal Weapon? Can hardly remember out about that film, apart from ',but you're blek. Listen to your friend, he knows what he is talking about'. Right film? No but it's the sequal to the right film What do some silly numbers mean, between friends? Well they mean you don't know the bit of the film I mean for a kick off

  9. Was that not the same time as the whole sting thing. Yeah. I got confused between the sting and the Lörrach escapade. Although, to be fair, our Smoothy probably does that quite a lot anyway. Yeah, tbf you could probably name any date and SMO would sending photo's of his cock to someone or other!

  11. That was way before then. Doesn't time fly when you're doing fuck all at work?
  12. Was that not the same time as the whole sting thing.
  13. I still don't think they can raise the prices too much anyway. We are not based in London for example, and most of our supporters come from the surrounding area so don't earn the wages of fans from down south. There can't be much scope for getting much more money out of us in terms of ticket sales.
  14. I was thinking it must have been the day of Peasepud's sting.
  15. We can't afford to continue with this cycle of relying on Bramble beacuse he has a good run. We are going to need to get new centre backs in regardless and his and Moore's contract expiry gives us the oppertunity to admit we made a mistake and just start again.
  16. I think this is the key point. Gone are the days of the 5000+ waiting list. The football has been crap for the last 3 or 4 seasons and the casual fan has been put off. Hiking up the prices will only alienate more loyal fans and would result in reduced income. If they want to increase prices they have to provide a product people are willing to pay for.
  17. We had Scottish and were paying about £100 a month (in total for both) for a 2 bedroom house and there's never anyone in through the day. So we just changed to Atlantic and we now pay £20 for gas and £25 for elec (might be the other way round). I think what they will offer you depends on where you actually are. I've been looking into changing our electric at work and that's what I was told. And we were with Scottish and they were taking our eyes out.
  18. The only possible way to make money in with a football club (other than buying it very cheap and selling for a lot more like what SJH is going to) is to have a succesfull team. If they sold all our players they wouldn't get more than £50m and would have to find new players from somewhere so that we could still opperate (closing us down would cost more money). If they put the ticket prices up they will have to provide a team that is worth paying the additional money for. Even with our fans there is starting to be bigger and bigger gaps in the stadium with people getting sick of paying the money to watch dross. Season tickets will simply not sell if they massively rise the prices. For me the only risk in this buyout is that a new board is even more incompetant than the current one.
  19. The bit in an early episode when Rodney pulls him up on it and he actually calls him Rodney so he can stick him with the tennents association job is comedy gold tbh.
  20. I've got nearly all of the tapes but I don't have a video to watch them on any more and I really don't see myself getting them on DVD. I used to love them and still think they were great up to when they got the money but I rarely leave them on for more than a couple of minutes when they're on the telly now. I just can't be bothered to watch them any more. I've never seen any of the spin off with Boycie.
  21. I also watched A Fistfull Of Dynamite. It's not as good as Leone's other westerns (but then again most films aren't) but it has some excellent moments and good performances from James Coburn and Rod Stieger (even if their accents are awful).
  22. He was better than you would think and his character really just got caught up with the feeling of belonging and the buzz of it without ever becoming a realy thug as such. But it still wasn't right.
  23. Time to start a fresh with our centrebacks. The only ones who have a chance of ever being good enough are Taylor and possibly Ramage but it will never happen if players like Bramble are what they have to look up to and learn from. We need to get some experienced quality back there.
  24. Green Street. This is the first film I've ever watched about football violence and while I did quite enjoy it, I have to admit I'm uncomfortable about how they showed these people. It all seemed a bit too glamourous. I know you did see that they took a canny beating but there were things like the lasses in the pub all buzzing round the hobbit after he'd been scraping and the music to some of the fight scenes made it seem like something out of Braveheart.
