Cross Of Iron is well worth watching, typical Peckinpah violence and a story of the Jormans battling against the Russians from the Jorman perspective. Coburn is very good in the hero role. Apparantly the ending is the way it is because they run out of money to finish it the way that was intended. Fistfull of Dynamite is not a patch on Leone's other masterpieces and is difficult to follow in places but it has some excellent scenes. Videodrome is tottlay bizzare but James Woods is excellent as ever.

The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes. Billy Wilders take on the worlds greatest ever detective showing him as posibily gay (although I thought the ending suggested otherwise), a drug adict and nowhere near as infallible as in most (if not every) other film/story. Really interesting and well acted by relitavely unknown actors (apart from Christopher Lee as Mycroft) it's well worth watching. Unfortunately as it's took me about three weeks to watch in 20 minute sessions I completely spoiled it for myself. I've got Dogville & Hidden in the house from Lovefilm so I will hopefully watch one of those tonight. -

Great film imo. De Niro and Keitel are both superb. You mook! -
The signing of Duff once again has to be questioned if it is true that we have no cash. £5m wasted on a player for the one position that the majority of fans were happy with. Tbh £5m wouldn't solve all our problems would it would certainly be a start. But perhaps this is another example of Roeders transfer fund expecations being totally unrealistic.

I'd forgotten all about that. I'll stick it on my Lovefilm list I think. -
When you add a load of dvd's to your list on there how long does it take from them to send them out? I've added a load but nothing seems to be happening. Is there something else I need to do to get them moving?

Mon, February 19 10pm You're the man today bud.

Have they started showing this on sci fi yet? I quite fancy it but I never seem to be able to download programmes or films.

Yee-hah! Whats the one in town with the mechanised bull? Buffalo Bills or something. although on the plus side, it keeps all the scum out of the areas of Newcastle that I go to. Which can only be a good thing. Buffalo Joe's? I haven't been like. I don't need to stick my hand in flame to know it'll hurt. Fucking awful bar, I can't think of enough bad things to say about that place. If I ever go in there again I want shooting.

Aye I've just joined myself. Well done that man!

I see he does another 'Glenn told me' as if he's got some sort of fucking batphone!

The best I can seem to find is a 30 day trial. If anyone knows of any longer ones let me know will ya.
-
Cheers I will have a lookout for that then.

I used to love Yell and Balmbras when I was a bairn. Used to get the banana vodka milk shots everytime we went in.

Aye I had that problem when I did the blockbuster free trial and they charged me for the full membership. Complained and they refunded me ok like. I've got a voucher for a free 21 day trial of the lovefilm one and I've tried searching for a few things that I fancy and they seem to have them so I might give it a go. I'll have to get the DVD recorder fixed before I do it like or I'll never end up being able to watch them. Do you know if the disc copy alright if I was to be interested in any such illegal activity?
-
Does that mean you've stopped using them?
-
I'm not sure whether I should go for an unlimited package or one where your allowed a couple per month for less. There's a few doing free trials so I'll wait until I've exhausted all of them before atcually paying for owt.

Wor lass is wanting to knock Sky Movies on the head because it shows the same shite day after day (mind you I never seem to tire of watching Dodgeball!) so I'm considering diverting the cash (well not really as she pays for Sky and I will be paying for this but never mind) into joining one of those DVD rental by post things. I know Gem at least does this and I think there are quite a few others so the question is, which one is the best to go for (on price and choice and anthing else that might be relevant). I think I've asked this ages ago in another thread but I can't remember what was suggested.

I'm surprised we have a fucking clue who this guy is and it's pleasant that it's not someone like Daily but no one seems to know if he's any good so I'm not getting excited.
-
No you're right, it was an afterthought actually. For some reason I just always remember having a good time there though. Probably that was where I was when the e's started kicking in!

I have to admit I like those up their own arse type bars so my favourites are Popolo, Appartment, Pitcher & Piano, Stereo & Offshore. It's been fucking ages since I've been out (other than before the match) mind so fuck knows what any of these are like now. I used to really like Gotham on a Saturday afternoon too.

Kind Hearts & Coronets. Quinticentially English classic. Guiness is superb in the many roles and the main guy (name escapes me and I can't be arsed to look it up) is exceptional. Brilliant film. -
What the fuck is going on with this mincefest?

I used to watch the highlights show all the time when it was on channel 4 years ago. For some reason my favourite team was Miami (possibly because my pair of Pony Linebackers were that colour). Never seen it for years though & I don't think I'd ever watch a live game. I used to have John Maden Football for my Megadrive and that was a class game.
