I can just imagine coming out of the shitter in a pub and announcing that I've just had a huge Irishman!

I'm getting the following message when I use Shrink; Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). Anyone know what this means and how to get round it?

Can you define green? What had you been drinking, creme de menthe? The colour you get when you mix blue and yellow. Think of grass! I think I had been drinking something called long vodka's. We were up in Scotland.

I remember having a green shite once when I was away with the lads. I put it down to being pissed out of my mind the night before tbh.

I prefer Hopkins in Silence but then he decends into pantomime for Hanibal and Red Dragon (both of which I enjoyed). I would also say Silence is the best of the Hanibal films with Manhunter a second. Manhunter is a completely different film in look and feel to any of the others though. I don't have high hopes for the new one.

I've got a Xmas album with songs by just those two. It's class. Beth Gibbons is a good shout. I've got that too I've also got the best of Deano on my ipod.

Dean Martin & especially Nat King Cole have by far the most beautifull blokes voices I have heard. I generally find though that women have far better voices than men but I too find most femal singers albums loose their appeal all too quickly. My personal favourite singers voices though are probably Beth Gibbons (of Portishead fame) for a female and Jeff Magnum (Neutral Milk Hotel). I couldn't stand Magnum at first but he sings with such emotion that he just grinds you down.

The Black Dahlia. It seems to be a film that really divides opinion with some loving it and many hating it. Personally I thought it was really good. Not in the same class as Chinatown or LA Confidential (the most obvious comparissons) but few films are tbh. The film looked fantastic and was pretty well acted by the four main leads, none of which are particular favourited of mine. There are some silly elements (the reason for the murder somewhat implausible) but I thought it was a good noirish thriller overall. -
I can't really blame anyone for slagging us off our football is so bad these days. That goal against Blackburn is fucking amazing!

Premiership Top 3 Players of the Season
David Kelly replied to wykikitoon's topic in Newcastle Forum
He is an odious little shit but a fantastic player. I can't understand how a bbc interviewer told him he didn't understand why fans boo him when he's so entertaining to watch. It's the same fucking reason as why people despise Robben, because they are cheeting little gets. If they played the game like Henry or Giggs or Scholes they would be applauded at every ground! -
He clearly hasn't performed but I think a major part of it is down to our lack of a leftback. If you look at the way wingers play a large portion of their performance is linking up with the fullback. Duff (and N'Zgobia) have no one to link up with as Babayarou (on the rare occassions he fancies a kick about) doesn't bother his arse and the four right footed centrebacks (fucking hell it sounds so ridiculous when you say it) that have played their don't contribute anything going forward. Because of the leftback issue we also basically keep the ball on the right side of the pitch so consequently whoever plays left wing rarely sees the ball. Of course you can argue that he should be coming inside looking for the ball and all of this doesn't mean that he should look inept when he does get the ball, and I would agree with that. But I think the leftback issue must be contributing to his lack of confidence and probably just makes him pissed off most of the game. I don't forsee Duff or anyone else managing to find form on our left wing until we can get a decent leftback in place tbh.

Can't think of one in Chinatown. -
Players need to talk. I play Uni Hockey and even I know that. To be fair though it's been clear for a long time that not enough of our players do this. It's the same as the fact that too many of our players have been too slow or too small. We've seen this for years but no one has done anything about it.

It's a piece of piss tbh. I've done it a few times and know sod all about cars. For mine (audi) you just open the bonet and there is a box on each side that you open and then you just unhook the bulbs and swap them. Different cars have different bulbs but they have lists in Halfords.

The song gets on my tits I have to say. It's typical of the radio 1 "ooh isn't so original" brigade when it's not really original at all. Sounds like the fucking Darkness and Scissor Sisters love child tbh. The new Bloc Party album is fairly shite too.

Feel free to pick your favourite part of it. Mohammed Said el Patrokles will love it...

Who I'm pleased to announce has this morning joined Babayarou and Bramble to committing themselves to the club for an other five years

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible I think they might have done another good one!

I watched the new Rocky last night and I must say it reminded me a lot of the first one. Sure it's more ridiculous and the fightings not as good but by the end I was still with him for every punch. -
I wouldn't even give him another year tbh. He's nowhere near good enough and although he'll come in and graft and that, I'll be pretty disappointed if we start next season with Sibierski even on the bench. Imagine how much slower he'll be in a year or two's time too. I know what you're saying, hopefully Owen & Sherla will be fit by then and we will have signed someone else too. But I just think with our injury problems the way they have been the past few seasons he's worth retaining for a while just in case. I would hope we wouldn't need to play him in more than just a couple of cup games against lower league opposition though.
-
I would keep him for a year as a squad player because I really can't see us having enough money to pad out the squad to the level we need. But to look towards having him for another two seasons says some really disturbing things about our ambtions as a club and the brains of Roeder. He's not anywhere near the quality of player we want in the first team.

dropping nobby and the young lads in defence

I can understand Roeder thinking that things weren't great with the defence recently so wanting to change things. But not playing Solano makes no sense however you look at it. -

nobby has been consistently our best defender and he drops him. taylor's probably been our best centre half recently and he drops him for bramble....why? the young lads haven't disgraced themselves either yet he drops them all for steve 'form of his life' carr. why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? Apart from dropping Nobby, I can see why he did it. Taylor's struggled a little lately, after a good run. I think Huntingdon's struggled too in the last couple of games. And although Solano should have played, I doubt it would have mattered in the end. I'm only defending Roeder in the sense that he hasn't got a lot to play with back there and I think he was possibly trying to play his best defenders to help the new lad out. Taylor was admittedly awfull against Birmingham but other than that he's done pretty well whenever he hasn't had Bramble next to him to panic him into making mistakes. Some of the performances he put in when Bramble was out and he had Nobby next to him were brilliant. -

Apparantly he wanted the extra height which was why he switched Taylor to rightback. Still doesn't make any sense like. He could have played Taylor leftback and brought Nobby (possibly our best player this season) in at rightback. Or he could have dropped Bramble (he won fuck all in the air against Young on Wednesday so I don't see why we should expect him to win things against forwards who are an arial threat). and played Edgar on the left.
