  1. The midfielder who sits deeper and wins the ball/puts in tackles. The thing Tiote does to a tee Well yeah but he doesn't just sit there in a 4-4-2. Obviously Nolan is further forward but Tiote gets all around the pitch and doesn't play the position in the way Makelele did at Chelsea in a midfield 3/5 with wingers. I don't think either Barton or Colocinni are suited to that role either way and you'd also be removing two of the best players in the side from roles they're far more suited to. Agree Tiote offers a lot more than that and I think Nolan would struggle with it. Barton Proberbly would be able to but not as well as Tiote but a mile bettet than Smith or Guthrie. Goes to show how important Tiote is
  2. Did a tour round Blenheim palace and the posh old bird running it had a full on white goatee. Couldn't take my eyes off it
  3. Anyone else see it? Pretty grim, catching sharks then looping the fins off and chucking them back still alive. They are supposed to be regulated but the authorities turning a blind eye.

  5. I think Harps is pretty decent tbh. Look at the likes of Carson and Foster who are both prone to errors as is Green Im not a big fan of Krul, good stopper but his positioning isnt great and don't think he instills confidence in the back 4. May improve with age but wouldn't be my first choice next season
  6. Don't rate either, Smith is a striker who cant score and a midfielder that can't pass/tackle Guthrie, I thought was gonna improve but not looking that way. He has ability, shame he isn't showing it. If we are struggling in the middle then I would play Barton or even Colo as cdm in front of those 2. Hope Tiote doesn't get too many bans/injuries
  7. Had a tenner on 3-3 as I can see a proper blood and thunder game with both defences being nervy. Got a feeling we are gonna see Joey boss the midfield and get a goal. We might nick it if Carroll plays
  8. Benzema----------------Carroll Barfa Nice but cant see it
  9. He was really enthusiastic too, kind of felt a bit sorry for him
  10. When I'm pissed I can't resist a prank phone call or two. These two are very recent, I rang a guy from auto trader who was selling an opel manta, I told him I was going to use it for rallying but as I live miles away could he start it up and rev the engine down the phone so I could get an idea what it sounded like. Not only did he oblige he roped his Mrs into reviving it while he stood with the phone under the bonnet, this was at 11 pm The other time I rang a woman out of the phone book and told her that her granddaughter had entered a competition at the local zoo and she had won. The prize was to have a chimp to stay for a week, she sounded a bit concerned at first but after 5 mins of persuasion we got as far as sleeping arrangements and dietary requirements for Sidney, I told her someone would contact her to arrange a date and a photo shoot for the local rag
  11. Godfather,Scarface, any spiderman or other comic remakes with the exception of the dark night, never watched a James Bond film eitheru
  12. Might have effected team spirit and wanted to stay close to London, fuck it anyway. Not a big set back
  13. Thought he would be shite last night, credit to him tho as he took his goals well. Not going to judge on one game but deserves a run while the big man's out. See how he does on Saturday but I'm willing to give him a crack and looks like Pardew will
  14. The Chelsea fans at work have been very quiet lately, one has even stopped going to games, lol Think the porn king should call Grant into a meeting and beat him with a black rubber cock a la Harry Lonsdale from lock stock
  15. For the money we'd get and wages they are on it's not worth selling them. Perch is our only Left back cover. Yeah and hes shite too, would prefer Simpson at LB and Taylor at RB if needs be, Pearch is complete wank
  16. Hope he starts with Ranger and Shola but got a feeling could see Nolan in an advanced role, Barton in the middle and Routeledge on the right. Reckon we will win tho, better do as I`m out with my West Ham supporting mate at the weekend who had us nailed on for the drop
  17. Think we can forget about Xisco, Lovenkrands aint prem class and Best, well certainly doesnt live upto his name. Reckon Ranger needs a chance but we are screaming out for a mobile, nippy striker,LB cover and a winger. Hang on to Carroll, flog Pearch,Gutherie and Smith and that will do me. LB cover and striker are priority
  18. Where he plays is a good dilema to have. I think he can genuinly play equally well on either flank or just off a striker or even in a free role. Gives us options which is always a good thing I cant see us going mad in the window but with Gosling coming back I think if we can get a striker/winger and cover at LB we will do ok
  19. Time for Ashley to put his money where his mouth is and back HIS policy of developing young players, I think if we hang onto him this window and moreso in the summer then he deserves some credit as there is no doubt there will be big money banded about
  20. Very happy that we have him on a long term deal and hope he is 100% when he comes back, gonna look forward to watching him again If we can get another couple in and fuck off Smith,Pearch and Best off then a pretty good window, Oh and obviously hang onto the big lad
  21. Got a big one this weekend but after that am gonna try and eat healthy and get on the bike. Knees ok now thanks ct , well ok enough to work/cycle but my footy career is defo over
  22. Work related knee problems? Bricky etc Nah, wear and tear due to playing too much sport upto being late 20's. Fucked my cruciate at 23 but didn't stop me and did other at 25
  23. Aren't you on about a Magarita? Grappa's brandy made with the leftovers of the wine-making process, i.e. the stems, grape skin etc. It's rocket fuel and a bit like Raki. Grappa is a killer an no mistake. Off on a tangent here, but wasn't there a 'Grippa' in that school programme er, what was it called....... Grange Hill ??? Aye, Grippa Stebson. Used to steal Roland's lunch money Stole his lunch money and bought a bike with it Thanks chubby brown for that gag
