Pardew on Ashley, Finances and Future
jaythesouthernmag replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
He`s first choice here, playing in front of 50,000 fans, most of who think he`s the dogs bollocks, in a team that has a genuine team spirit and they all seem to get on. Thats gotta count for something although when or if a silly money bid comes in we all know it adios amigo -

Whys that? Have I missed something? -
Looking forward to seeing him play although he does come across as a bit of a twat, hope Joey and Nolan whip him into shape. No doubting he has talent

Perch and Smith out, 2 good strikers in, a good winger, full back cover and retain Ireland(if he fits in and looks good), sign up Barton,Nolan and Jose. That would be a good summer for me. Oh and fucking Guthrie off and getting O` Hara wouldnt be bad either -
----------------Willo----------Colo------------Taylor--------------- Simpson--------------------------------------------------- Jose----- --------------------------Tiote-------Guthrie--------------------------- ----------------------Nolan---------Jonas or Ireland---------------- -------------------------------Best----------------------------------------- If Guthrie isn't fit then Nolan there and Lovenkrands in behind Best. Simpson and Jose to provide width with Tiote sitting in front of back 3 both Nolan and Ireland have goals in them. Would like to see us try this but doubt it will happen he will just shove Guthrie on the right where he's even shitter than in the middle.

I walk to the pub a lot And staggering back can often mean it's twice the distance, therfore twice the benefit to the bod! The kebab/pizza/chips Proberbly undo that tho
-
Think having Barton will make a big difference so fingers crossed. Everton will be pissed about loosing to Reading so maybe expect a reaction there, no Cahill is a big plus for us tho. Who plays right if Joey doesn't make it?? Jonas with Fergie on the left? He wouldn't put Perch there surely
-
It was so fucking blatant but as its Rooney they do fuck all, gutless.

Guthrie goes on loan to Forrest
jaythesouthernmag replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Should have been written into the deal they had to have him too. May leave us a bit short if we get injuries/suspensions but Guthrie ain't cut it for ages -
Chelsea trying everything to bury this story...
jaythesouthernmag replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Hope some clogger smashes the little cunt and puts him out for a long time. One of the most hated footballers around, even more than Savage and that's saying something -
I played as NUFC against Barca and best scored twice and I won 3-0, so from that I wouldn't get carried away
-
Players i would get rid of in the summer
jaythesouthernmag replied to paulwynuk42NUFC's topic in Newcastle Forum
Seriously, why would you get rid of any of these, we dont have cover, yes Smith, Campbell and Xisco because they're either overpaid or in Xiscos case unlikely to get a game while we still have a womens team we can call on. Taylor and Perch are both utter, utter shite but with the squad being small they would need replacing with players who could push for a place in the team rather than a pair of benchwarmers. All depends on how much Pards can spend and a couple of strikers are a priority -

Get shut of Smith and there's 50k a week to play with, Campbell will go and I bet he's on good wedge too. -
Just seen on ssn our win % with him is 42% and without its 12%. Influential is an uinderstatement

In the grand scheme of things it's neither a positive nor a negative. It's funny that it doesn't matter how many times history repeats itself, his propaganda seems to work. What's that line from the usual suspects again..."The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist" Oh dear. Simply not applicable tbh. I think everyone (more or less) seems to accept he's a cunt, but the new deal would make sense irrespective of who the owner was. It's not a question of naivety concerning views on Ashley. Anyway just had a reality 'cheick' at 10 am and realised this one just isnt worth arguing the toss over. It's basically just a common sense step, which people can then project their own personal views onto and both sides of the debate would be equally valid. Course it's applicable, shouting from the roof tops about a piece of paper like they did with Carroll just 3 months ago, which in effect wasn't worth the andrex in my water closet. "Great news for the club", great news for our finances. Craig is spot on too regarding how much of his 5 year deal is factored in to the £35m. Jamouse I agree but that IS the only real positive. Yes and every club that signs anyone says precisely the same things. Doesn't mean the fans believe it, I think it's more naive to think they do. They just realise the implications for the relative probability of player retention (or otherwise). People I know who I regard as level headed people DO BELIEVE IT. Either way he seems like a bit of a recluse who likes a quiet life, seen a few interviews with him saying he doesn't think he could live in London, that would only leave Man Utd and Citeh to fend off. Not taking the piss I would have Tiote before Diaby, Carrick, Fletcher, Yaya Toure, Lucas and Ramires, like straight up. Yaya Toure looks better when he gets to play a more advanced role. It's good to have one of the prems best midfielders in our team tho. A refreshing change from Butt and Smith
-
Hope not, as for Ireland I want to see him play. When's he due back??
-
Agree mate
-
I really REALLY just don't get this mindset My first thought was exactly the same as Isegrim -I wish I had your ability to see the best in Ashley Remind me how long ago Carroll signed his new contract again He did sign a new one recently but there's not many people who think the club were wrong to sell him for 35 mil, the timing was shit and as long as its reinvested then its good business. As for Tiote it shows he's happy here but everyone has a price. Let's not get negative, one of our best players has just signed a new contract
-
Give the same to Jose and get Barton and Nolan signed up on 2/3 years. Whens Colos deal up??
-
European football may help when it comes to signing players and renegotiating contracts

nobody knows better than the best players at the club, if they are wasting their time here or not. We've just witnessed one of them leaving for a record transfer fee to a club who don't feel overconcerned at bankruptcy, overspending, administration etc despite having a smaller ground and less supporters than we do for starters. They have, of course, been doing everything wrong for over 40 years now. They were skint under the last lot you mug, they have spent the Torres and Babbel money on Carroll and Saurez. They can't compete with the big boys on spending power either. It's Going to be a 3 team scrap for 4th place for the foreseeable future. As for when we got sold we were going nowhere fast with a massive debt. fucking wanker. What are you talking about ? They have won trophies for over 40 years by buying top quality footballers to their football club, the latest addition being one of our best players and smashed a transfer record, and tosspots like you are saying it isn't how you do it ? We will see if we in turn spend that 35m quid like they have just done and in the same manner ? There's only one mug here if you think we will come out of this with that with the intent to push nearer the top of the league when it is all over, which is their aim. Newcastle United knew Carroll was leaving the club, and they left it too late to bring in a replacement but announced they would try and bring Charles N'Zogbia to the club, from Mike Ashleys best mate in football ??? Yeah, right. What sort of tosspot buys a story like that ? While Liverpool know Torres is going and line up Carroll as a top replacement ? Can't you see the difference ? I'll be kind to you and leave it there, hopefully you will wise up. You certainly will in a year or two if you also bookmark and look back at this thread. Did you manage to ignore the bit in bold? There's a surprise. Funny that eh?? Jesus this guy doesn't live in the real world. Yeah they spent big on Carroll but they also spent 20 mil on Aquilani, that was good business, loaning him to Juve after 6 months. Their money has come from the Torres deal, you think they will spend 50-60 mil in summer, I don't why don't you answer my complete post ? I don't know where you come from lad, or what you think you know about the club, but my guess is you know sweet fuck all. Liverpool live in the real world, they know that a winning football team playing in europe and competing for trophies is the place to be. Of course, tossers like you know best. Kindly tell me the only time in living memory we have finished above Liverpool in the league and performed better in a period of time, who owned the club and how they did it [in the real world that is....] They did it by spending a lot of money, which was money they didnt have. Ie, buying the dream, the problem is we won fuck all, nowt, nish, bo fucking diddly. Liverpool won fa cups, league cups and the champions league so I guess the money Fred spent wasn't spent that wisely, also decisions like sacking Bobby, appointing Souness, signing Boumsong,Luque and the like didn't work. Take those rose tinted specs off Cunto and pull your tongue out of Shepherds arse and get a fucking grip. I'm hard pushed to find anyone on here that agrees with you, so is everyone wrong?? what a load of emotional cherry picked crap. Lets talk about the Champions League, buying the players who got us there, qualifying for europe more than everybody bar 4 clubs in a 15 year period, transforming the club from one foot in the 3rd division that couldn't sell for 1.25m quid into 14th in the football rich list with one of the best stadiums in the country, if you want to talk about "rose tinted specs" because I'm fucked if I can see what colour specs you must be wearing if you can't see all of that. Copy and paste mate, your replies are all the same. Rich list, 3 rd division blah fucking blah. Same old shite time and again. Where were we when Ashley bought us? Yeah he fucked up but I reckon as we are now we are in a better state financialy and with a more committed group of players than before so are yours, but unfortunately for you, you know fuck all about the club and are living in dreamland if you think Mike Ashley is doing anything but presiding over a slow decline of this football club. Ok, answer the following When was the last time we finished above Liverpool Who was the last top player we signed When was our last champions league game Where in the league were we when we got sold
