The problem is though, that once you are owned by a billionaire and have a fair amount of funds other clubs think they have the right to hold you to ransom.

Black & White Newcastle Season Review 1993/1994
Isegrim replied to Cheetzy's topic in Newcastle Forum
Well, I have it and know where it is. Unfortunately I don't have a video recorder to play it anymore. -
Aye you are right. Not like Owen and Viduka keep them they've been great. Shola (as said) has played with an injury (owen n Viduka just need to fart to be out a month) He costs a fraction and he has had loads of arseholes who boo him or get on his back at the drop of a hat. He's not that good but he's better value for money than the ward 14 twins. Is Owen not a leech (do you want to wait until Jan. to answer that) That's a smeeeagain, isn't it?

Kristall would definitely be my drink of choice on a night out in Jormany. Tastes a bit strange over here, but that's no doubt all in the head. Has the correct way to pour it into a glass reached England yet? Anyway, I've nearly finished working for today. On the way back I'll make a quick visit to the supermarket. Probably get myself a couple of bottles of Franziskaner or Paulaner. Erdinger isn't really one of the better German wheat beers tbh. I like Bitburger and have started to drink a fair bit of it since Tesco started stocking it regularly. Is it considered ok or shite in Germany, Wolfy? Depends a bit. Beer taste in regards to "Pils" is very much a regional thing in Jormany. Bitburger is well liked in the west, but probably not so much in the south I'd say because it's rather dry and aromatic. I reckon it's a decent beer though.

Btw. This (although a bit too slow): But not this:

It's Belgian you tit I just think it tastes discernibly nicer. It's obviously similar but it doesn't have that shitty taste and the hangover isn't as bad either. Presumably the water source is the difference. It's difficult to get here now though. Beck's is good stuff as well (only ever brewed in Germany, no coincidence). Even something like 1664, which is bland as fuck if you get the stuff over here is a genuinely nice lager if you get it in France. Stronger as well. Same goes for Grolsch, the proper Dutch stuff is different class. I'm not sure if it's catering to the bland British beer drinkers' palates or what but it can't just be a coincidence. Agree with the general sentiments. My brother says Carlsberg is a whole different beer if you're over in Copenhagen. You're right about Becks only being imported. And it shows IMO. Except of this horrible Four stuff that is solely produced for you philistines. Vier? That stuff is rubbish. Ja.

There's a load of estimates, ranging from that to much, much higher (the wiki one seems to be a very specific one based on pretty hardcore practising muslims - which clearly is about as representative as the non-alcohol drinkers don't live as long statistical analysis). Yes there are vague and at times contradictory, but the weight of evidence (as well as just basic immigration maths) comes down on at least 8m and possibly up to double that. Out of interest (and don't look it up) just how "white" or "black" do you think he is? I know he is of mixed race because his Dad was from Africa and his Grandmother (who just died) was white. I thought it was obvious he was of mixed race. I note you still avoided supplying a source for your figures which only reinforces my view you made them up. Like I said "how much"? I'd assumed half and half (-ish). Not sure in all honesty. Your point? (Being hopeful, obviously given you couldn't supply the source for your made-up stats). Like I said what I stated is quite within the weight of evidence, but you're right I've not personally checked how many muslims currently live in the USA. However plenty of others have. Must be fellow freemasons as you are so coy to actually name them...

Oh Jeez Tom, you really are as thick as two short planks aren't you? Don't be mean to Tom. He's vulnerable, remember? Bitter. Danke? Two letters away from being spot on. ?

Harris is getting confused by his own rumour mongering now... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4339603,00.html With a propensity for lying to fans like this it's no wonder Ashley wanted him on the payroll. To be fair to him, the quote in the second text only says that he had more or less only read about it, but weren't seen as serious because they couldn't provide simple things to establish that there is a genuine interest. So to say, that they don't seem to exist isn't really a contradiction tbh.

i think it's more to do with the fact he gets the wrong type of ball played to him, rather than a through ball to run onto with maybe 1-2 defenders to wrong foot and hit have a dig, he gets given the ball with his back to goal 30yards out with an entire defense around him... or knock downs currently from shola which well says it all really. See, that's my main gripe with Martins and his pace. He doesn't get these balls because his movement is awfully shit. He never anticipates situations and starts runs to show his team mates they can pass the ball to him. Mostly he just waits and only starts running after the ball has been played - only then he starts chasing it (btw he could have got some of Shola's knock downs if had started running earlier). He'd make a perfect cat playing with a ball of whool if he wasn't a professional football player unfortunately.
-
I cant see why people hate him!? Yeah his end product was shit last night but he always looks 10x more likely to score than Ameobi, Smith, Xisco, Carroll or anyone else we have fit at the minute. Hes also the only player in the team atm who can skin a player Too bad, he tries to skin half the opposition team most of the times and loses possession when he fails taking on the third player. With Martins there is unfortunately a huge gap between claim and reality. Of course is Martins our biggest threat at the moment. I still think he mostly makes next to nothing out of his pace and skill because he is just incredible thick.

Good that there is no 50 cent option or Teed would be hurling coins...

No, due diligence normally follows the so called letter of intent where parties declare that they are seriously interested in doing a deal. Due diligence is formost to evaluate the risk a deal can bring. It would be pretty pointless in doing it after the deal has already been done (except if you are Mike Ashley).

He mentioned it on Saturday in an interview with NUFCTV.

Posts: 1605 You signed up after me and have nearly twice as many posts as me. 1604 defending Spurs from incorrect obsessive remarks from NUFC fans on here. Ah, so all those Newcastle related topics you started are actually in defence of Spurs. Thanks for the explanation.

Proved to be totally incompetent today. Refereeing Panathinaikos vs. Werder. Gave a strange corner which lead to the Greeks going 2-1 in front. The greek striker kicks the ball out, is aware of it and is runs back to the centre circle - then looks totally surprised that the referee awarded a corner. A lot of other big mistakes as well (Mertesacker clearly handled the ball before he scored the 1-0).
-
I still thought he was getting in everyone's way tbh... Duff was MOTM for me. Duff really looked like a totally different player. He was actually getting past players, showed good ball control. Shame about his lack of composure after Ameobi's sublime through ball. Other than that I am not too pleased with Ameobi's performance. Granted he worked really hard and scored. But he still looked like totally lacking any sort of football brain with no real awareness of where to be and what to do. He was just chasing the ball and trying to battle for it. From a top league footballer I do expect a bit more tbh.

Apart from some friendlies last year he hasn't looked promising at all. I find it particularly strange that he played at all considering he was out for so long. He hasn't even played for the reserves has he?

I hope Freddie Shepherd is reading this and that bit sticks in his throat. Sure, SBR came off the rails a bit in the end and his time as our manager was drawing to a close, but the big failing was not invoking some sort of handover to a new manager - instead, they just pushed him out of the door and with it, our form evaporated. The main culprit was Dougie Hall though, wasn't he? Weren't his words "with Robson we would have got relegated"? Numpty.
