  1. Real Madrid Italian like? Famous quote from Andreas Möller when asked about moving to a club abroad. "Milan or Madrid, as long as it's Italy."

I just hope it isn't bumping in too many others on the way...
  3. Brighter than you tbh Definitely HTL Incorrect. However, the comment made is almost certainly accurate. I used to work with a lass who taught Titus. Apparently he is average ability although he did go to Holywells which is renowned for pupils taking a shit in the classroom if they dont like what is being taught. Taught with a fella who taught Kieron Dyer at Westbourne too and he still pops along to help out (its a Sports College now). Know a few kids at the academy in Ipswich incidentally and KD was in there every day working on his recovery over the summer according to the kid who was in my form who is an Ipswich Youth Team Player. Thats as far as my ITK goes though Did he burn any 50 quid notes or write insults as autographs. Otherwise it wasn't Kieron Dyer. QED
  4. £10 million is nothing for a striker these days and as far as I'm concerned he was worth every penny, not just talking about this season but the potential he has for the coming seasons, if we can develop him right then he could become unplayable for the majority of defenses in the league. His movement isn't great but it has improved since he first arrived and with the right coaching will continue to get better, it'll be interesting to see how he does with a better strike partner as Sibierski isn't really good enough for the starting 11. If him and Owen can form a partnership similar to the one he has with Dyer then next season should be where we think about closing the gap with the CL teams. I totally agree.
  5. Really? Doesn't do it for me. Well that's not her best photo tbf. Photoshopped tbh
  6. Nice one. If he keeps scoring (and maybe even keep improving his overall display) I will not begrudging this windfall to you. Would you begrudge me a big windfall if I stuck a tenner on Baros? Arr, shut up...
  7. Given is the best shot stopper in the league IMHO. His reflexes are superb. But although his control of the box got better in recent years he is still lacking class in this department. His kicking and distribution in general isn't his best side either.

  10. That's just because Roeder doesn't pick him often enough though. I Roeder were playing him more often, then Luque would give more interviews and they would all be in perfect English...
  11. From what I heard they made some enquiries but were either rejected or told ridiculous prices with the clubs thinking Villa could afford them with their new billionaire. There still might be the chance of one or two players coming in but the consensus seems to be to give the winter transfer window a miss and "plan" the necessary overhaul of the squad for the summer.
  12. There is alot of talk of them also signing Baros, can you see them signing both of them? no, because Carew is linked to Werder and Baros is linked to Lyon... He is linked to Bremen as well.
  13. There is alot of talk of them also signing Baros, can you see them signing both of them? Not in the winter. Baros will rather be an option in the summer in case Klose decides to move abroad. At the moment it rather looks like a tabloid creation to me. And Bremen think 5m Euro for Carew is too much. They sent their own offer to Lyon and are waiting on the response.
  14. Apparently Werder Bremen are in advanced negotiations signing him for 5m Euro. I'd take him for that price as well tbh.
  15. As I said in the ratings thread, I can live with that. But it does make the 90% somewhat frustrating as you can see that Martins has some outstanding abilities but just needs to learn to use them properly. IMHO he is running around a lot looking totally clueless. His movement off the ball is often awful. With his pace you expect him to run into channels or taking defender with him creating space for other players. He also loses loads of balls when running at defenders. But then totally out of the blue he does great things. The more often he starts to prove me wrong the better. If we can reduce his ineffectivity to maybe 50% then we have a hell of a player.
  16. Yeah theres a couple of them bleating on about it. It was very simple, he knew Lennon was past him and did what 9 out of 10 defenders would do and fouled him. He knew it was a yellow as did the ref and everyone who has any knowledge of football, which of course rules out most Spurs fans. A cynical (professional) foul. I just knew Papa L. would like it. I wasn't too sure about the position where it was given away, but I actually liked the way how was Hunty doing it and reacting afterwards. Fully aware of what he was doing tbh.
  17. Belated Happy birthday. Hope you needed your sunglasses today...
  18. He'll get the No. 99 shirt though... Does that mean they'll have to break Howards arm to let him play? I'll do it! Howard is a defensive midfielder anyway...
  19. He'll get the No. 99 shirt though...
  20. I can live with a shite performance like that as long as he wins us the game, it's hard for a striker to make an impact when his team is under pressure like ours was for most of the game. We really miss Emre in midfield as he's the only player we have who can control the tempo of the game. I can live with that as well. Though I think that we were a lot under pressure was also a bit down to the fact that Martins was more or less losing every ball he had at his feet. The first goal was a direct result of it. Don't agree that we missed Emre though. Butt was controlling the game excellently and with Dyer we had a player who at least took on players when going forward, which made up for some of the easy balls he lost. I'd start those two ahead of Pirouette-Parker and Raging-Emre every day.
  21. I don't agree with most of the ratings. Solano was immense, as was Butt. Sibierski was doing a very good job, considering he was more or less on his own for most of the game. Which leads me to the other forward... Martins - 10 [4 - for the other 88 mins]
