Nice one. If he keeps scoring (and maybe even keep improving his overall display) I will not begrudging this windfall to you.

She should have at least the decency and at least wear a Chelsea top...

Have to agree. "City planning". Not helped by "your" bombs you bastid. Lame excuse. Most of the architectural sins stem from the 60s and early 70s. The same applies for the Jorman cities that were destroyed by the airstrikes of the allies. Aye, point being "you" destroyed all the nice buildings! We destroyed a lot buildings, sure. But it still doesn't tell the whole story. As I said, it is basically the same situation as in Jormany where the allied bombing is blamed for the sad state of some pretty ugly cities. But in fact even in cities that were hit worst in WWII the major damage in percentage to the architectural substance was done post-war (starting in about one decade later). In Jormany you can easily see the distinction between the former two Jorman states. In many cities of the former GDR the old architectural substance is far better conserved (even in cities like Dresden, where socialists did as a good job as Arthur Harris) than in the West, simply because of the reason that they didn't have the money to rip down complete city centres and rebuild it with ugly concrete stuff. The major turning point in western Europe was the European Architectural Heritage Year 1975. Without this idea by this sodding European Community a lot more cities and towns in the UK or Jormany would look like Birmingham tbh.

Still behind J69 tbh. (and I assume 69 in standing for his IQ in a real test)...

Well, we would only need two catergories anyway. "Snobbiest" and "most perpetual" poster...

Not even yeast? Not according to the German beer law of 1516. Perhaps, but it wouldn't ferment without the yeast being present. Double wanker. Of course, but that wasn't known when RobW was still in his teens. That's why they just re-used left-overs from the former brewing process which then caused the fermentation. An intelligent boy like you should have known that even without Renton's "qualifications".

If you think its rare then your need to go know the veil is meant to be over your mouth and nose, not your eyes. Go read the news. You'll also note that I started the thread saying "We already have enough nutters of our own without letting more in". Just dont start on the whole "why not mention British blah blah" shite. Why? because thats not what Im talking about! Of course there are other problems, plenty of them, but when you read story after story about how devistated peoples lives have become due to human rights bollocks and "do gooders". As for the veil, I dont think it should be illegal in public places. I dont really have a problem with it. Any places where security is an issue though (Airports, banks etc) and of course schools then yes they need their own policy. Oh, and BNP and UKIP are totally different, but thats another topic. UKIP are still a bunch of right-wing, xenophobic, sexist, middle-aged, middle-England tossers imo. I despise that party. There was a brilliant documentary about them here on TV ahead of the last European election. They travelled around with one UKIP candidate during his campaign. He was always ranting how terrible the EU is and how it drags the UK downhill. Then they visited a small factory. The candidate was raving about it being able to compete on the European market and how this is what British should be proud of and that the EU has never done anything for the UK. Until the owner of the factory got a chance to speak and said. "Err sorry Mr. Candidate, but we actually couldn't survive without getting subsidised via the EU regional fund." The reaction of the candidate was very pythonesque. It wasn't Robert Kilroy-Silk by any chance was it? I saw that programme if so. He came across as an ill-informed buffoon. Nah, wasn't Kilroy-Silk. It was a Jorman TV-team following around with some minor candidate. And he was rather mortaly-ill-informed...

I nominate: water, barley and hops. No other ingredients needed.

Toontastic Piss Up - Chelsea (h) 18th Spurs (h) 23rd
Isegrim replied to Scottish Mag's topic in General Chat
The UEFA's in Glasgow as well, isn't it? I've been to a few European cup games this year but can't be arsed with League cup at the moment, but then again I am a JCL KK bandwagon jumper who thinks the club was invented in 1992, so that's acceptable I reckon. The moment I get confident and go to a cup game I'll jinx them and we'll lose, so I'm better off staying away I reckon. A bad cold would have done as a lame excuse tbh. -
Happy Birthday. BTW - I met Urs Meier on Sunday. If I'd known about your birthday I would have given him a kick...

Well, I didn't have any luck with your numbers (and by putting money on them lost all the money I had won previously, damn). But it was really fun. Especially as the Jorman Sports personalities of the year awards were in the same building. So a couple of famous drug fiends were down in the Casino as well.
-
Well, ok. If too many numbers are picked I have to check my bank account. No, I'm serious. All numbers I'll see hear until tomorrow morning will result in an adequeate bid.
-
Ok, free drinks next time. Biut won't be before April next year.
-
Me too. You two must be pretty happy most of the time then! Unfortunately the sad fate of a real delusioned pessimist these days....
-
I'm going to the Casino in Baden-Baden on Sunday (yes it's where the national team staid - without glory tbh). I'll place 5 Euro each on the numbers suggested here. Half of the money I (might) win is going to a charity fund Catmag suggests. Please pick your numbers!

I like it to get proven wrong.

You go to Düsseldorf in Germany and come back and consider an Irish beer as your favourite? You need your head sorted.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Don't pretend you weren't reading these kind of posts on N-O yourself.

Well perhaps the people who rate him as a quality footballer have seen more of him at previous clubs compared to people who have only got his performances in a Newcastle shirt to judge him on. I wonder what Scouser's make of fans who rave about how good Bellamy is supposed to be when more often than not he's dire for them, do they ignore the performances for previous clubs or do they go with the "he hasn't done fuck all in a Liverpool shirt so he can't be a quality footballer?" Similar with Chelsea fans and Sheva, Arsenal fans and Baptista, West Ham fans and Tevez etc. All quality footballers yet none have shown the form that earned them their reputation. Hic Rhodos, hic salta! tbh. I can understand that people say, that he will come good, based on his previous records. What I don't get is people pretending that he already is showing this class.
