1. I wouldn't count on that. 15322 Well, as long as they don't do fancy party games with letter-look-a-like-noodles probably nobody will notice...
2. Nah, here is Souness' original statement from Tuesday (To read with a Scottish accent): PART OF ME IS ANGRY ABOUT DA TIMNG OF THESA GM3S!1!!!1!! 3. Looking at the entire squad is squeezing the last remaining bit of optimism out of me...
4. Don't be silly, Viana's back in training today - he's a classic English centre forward if ever I saw one! 14988 Eh? I thought Viana was a Portuguese defensive midfielder?
5. At least Craig Moore is already here...
6. So that's 5m in total. No wonder the bid was rejected...
7. Marca are carrying the story, too. Though they also report about Woodgate passing a fitness test, which makes them less reliable...

I see...

For me both are to blame. Souness for drawing up a apparently nonsensical list ( too late) and Fat Fred not being able to deliver from the list. I'm very much for not overpaying on players and that's why I wouldn't be bothered about missing out on the likes of Anelka. But we certainly should have started dealing sometime in April/May: a) the players would have been there ahead of preseason training, i.e. taking part in the intertoto, b ) the club wouldn't look so desperate now, c) other clubs would have more willingly done deals with their better players if they have time to replace them.
9. I was impressed with Ashton at every level I've seen him play. And can I nominate S Norman for "Toontastic avatar of the year"?
10. My favourite Diet Coke drinker was in the Jameson destillery in Dublin. Everybody was offered a free one (and I can't think of any other reason to do such a visit), only one American tourist was asking if she could have a diet coke instead. I'll never forget the stare of the tour guide.
11. So this Janssen lad will have played alongside Craig Moore then, albeit briefly? 14618 Yep, people in Gladbach don't have any good word for Dick Advocaat (especially for signing Craig Moore) but they thank him for making Janssen a first team regular. He really shone at every level he has been playing in the last 10 months. He'll probably get called up to the senior international team, at least that is what everybody is saying should happen. Apparently an English club tabled a 5m Euro bid. The rumour is that it was Arsenal (due to Adams watching him), but with them having Cole and Pires I think it might have been another club...
12. Apparently Newcastle were watching the game M'Gladbach against Wolfsburg last weekend. There were a couple of scouts (including Tony Adams) in the stand watching Marcell Janssen, Gladbach's left sided defender/midfielder. It would make more sense to me, if Newcastle were watching him too (instead of a leightweight central attacking midfielder).

I think Newcastle will sign Anelka and Emerton in a double deal by the end of the week...
14. I normally send some people to jail who knocked other people off. Works a treat.
15. About Italians... http://www.giga.de/redirect/relatedlink.ph...3Fvideo_id%3D38
16. I don't dispute that. I just think even considering those circumstances LBM should never be valued 5.5m. The more I hear of the kind of players we are allegedly interested and think of the list, the more I think it was either written down by a bunch of totally p*ssed supremoes or by Anal O. himself ... and in latter case Emerton probably would be second on the list as left winger...
17. sorry my mistake he is 28,but itz still alot of money, seem as though we got emre for 3.8 and emre is 20 times the player lbm is. 13719 That still doesn't make him worth 5.5m IMHO. EDIT: And I quoted Gol but have no idea what went wrong ... can't be arsed to change it.
18. That is why all those funny Islamic countries have such a low crime rate... 13276 What is their crime rate ? 13278 http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/faculty/rwinslow/index.html 13292 Interesting, thanks. 13297 Of course it is, it's just a question if it is due to the deterrent of punishment or due to certain beliefs. Feel free to move to Saudi Arabia, but you know porn is forbidden there... an wanking probably a capital crime...

21. My experience after living among Jorman's for about three decades is that most stereotypes about Jorman's are in fact true.
22. Just wait a couple of years and the Sharia will be enforced everywhere anyway..
23. They nicked this report from the Jorman's equivalent of the S*n. http://www.bild.t-online.de/BTO/geldjob/ba...sirrtuemer.html And I wouldn't mess with a Jorman occupying a sunbed, normally they have a tank in the hotel room either...
24. I agree with that, but I fully expect Souness to manage him car crash stylee... 12990 we simply can't afford to be picky now. we need a striker with pace that can get in behind defencea and score goals. le sulk fits the bill....even if he is a moody cnut 13043 I agree, he's by far our best realistic target. His recent actions seem to be based upon him wanting to come here which is great for us. Until he does the same to us when he decides he wants to go elswhere! 13053 Like he did at nearly every other club so far... 13066 Isn't that what all players do - Stay at a club until they want to move? Seems reasonable to me. 13076 Depends, if you are changing clubs more often than Gemmill his underpants then I would touch neither with a barge pole...
