Happy Birthday, and here my birthday bookie advice, don't put a tenner on Graeme Souness, he has more talent than everybody thinks and will last at least another couple of years...
-
I agree with that, but I fully expect Souness to manage him car crash stylee... 12990 we simply can't afford to be picky now. we need a striker with pace that can get in behind defencea and score goals. le sulk fits the bill....even if he is a moody cnut 13043 I agree, he's by far our best realistic target. His recent actions seem to be based upon him wanting to come here which is great for us. Until he does the same to us when he decides he wants to go elswhere! 13053 Like he did at nearly every other club so far...

Yes, but sometimes we get confused when there is a disparity between towels and sunbeds...

Well, I'm not a big fan of Bowyer. IMHO he can't pass or tackle and I don't think he his contributing a lot else to the team except his work rate. So I hate to say this very much, but we can't afford to let him go now. 12991 Ok, that's your opinion. I think Bowyer can tackle and his passing is good enough when there's some movement going on. Mentioning Parker, in Sunday's match I don't think Parker contributed anything more than workrate, yet many think he was the best player on the pitch. For me, he was caught in possession far too many times. Just like the Jenas tackle, Bowyer would have been slated for that as he's slated for giving the ball away when others aren't. Here's an idea, why don't we replace Bowyer with a player with more skill, a player who can create and score goals from the left but who doesn't work as hard? Any ideas who that might be???? 13000 I'm not getting carried away by Parker's performance (and I think I've already stated somewhere else). In a battling team he did the best battling job, an all around fantastic football performance does need more. But something else from the original .com article: It's interesting to see that some managers are in fact able in doing a squad rebuilding...

Pah, I'm an Überfan anyway.

Though, looking at likes of Medina & Co I'd say rather the kittens than mankind...

I've only been signed in about 2 minutes you cheeky Aussie git! Oh, and why is it not illegal to have sex with animals in Washington state?! 12611 Because it is common practise in Washington/Mackemland either? *looks out for Bridget*

I hope you told the male members of your family that they aren't allowed to play with the food ...

Hmm, in the case here the sheep was traumatized and apparently avoided the rest. It probably was doing dodgy paintings analysed by psychologists, too.
-
Of course a very nice gesture... ...though nothing compared to the exclusive club tours to Gibraltar other "fans" get...

I thought a sense of humour was a minimum requirement when signing up for this board ? 12554 Maybe just for signing up, but not for creating... It looks to me that as soon as you become a Admin you also get deadly serious.

12443 When doing his mandatory time at the public prosecution service a friend of mine had a case of "sheep shagging" which is a criminal offence. They even got a psychological expertise from a vetinary about the mental state of the sheep

Almost word for word what I said about Butt this time last year, I'm being cautious now and waiting until Christmas to see how he fares. 12439 That and I think some of the ratings are very flattering. Ok, the team fought well, but IMHO the top marks are reserved for special games when a player excells in all parts of his game. That means for me a midfielder shouldn't just perform in his own half. I think some people are getting a bit carried in their praise. A good battling performance yes, loads of hard work. But a very good football performance? No, not for me.
-
I agree that the team battled well. But for me the tactics were far too negative. With the formation Newcastle could have played another couple of hours (and even with eleven players) but most likely wouldn't have scored ... or created chances. Of course grinding out a goalless draw would have been a fantastic result, though I don't know if there was a plan B in case Arsenal had scored earlier.

Anyone else see a parallel between that and Fat Fred's assertations that us fans would be astounded? 11568 I'm pleasantly surprised someone else noticed too.

What I don't understand is that HTT was telling for months how GREAT the new site will be and what projects they were working at etc. Now I just clicked a bit through the site and the site is a bit dull ... the constant theme of the topic is "comming soon" ...

Bastid! I am enjoyong the day, buried under books (have a look in the where we work thread, when Matt was moaning about the state of that office he shouldn't see it now) as I have to finish my dissertation until saturday in a week. That means no fun today, but I'll have a big party on Saturday (and hopefully will still be drunk on Sunday...). So thanks everybody...

What they said. (though, they are all mean, mean bastids!) Great day for a birthday.

Nah, I just think Liedson is a good player. 10608 Ignore Shearergol he doesnt know about any footballers outside of England so claims people who do just know them from Champ. Also i dont think he go's to our games yet thinks he knows everything about peoples performances 10654 Any interesting tales from your scouting trips to Lisbon? 10667 please tell me where i commented on Douala in this thread? 10671 You haven't, but I like the way how you always comment on foreign players (along with your favourite word "overrated"), but think somebody shouldn't comment on player's performances he hasn't seen "in flesh".

What happened to the urine sample from the bloke in room No. 9?

Well it certainly would have an effect on a certain left-back... "By this time the soma had begun to work. Eyes shone, cheeks were flushed, the inner light of universal benevolence broke out on every face in happy, friendly smiles. Even Bernard felt himself a little melted."

Yep, I think Huxley's work is a good reflection about those things to come for Newcastle United. Seriously, I just hope the newboard (which will be GREAT by the way) will provide as much fun as yesterday...
