I would imagine the database would be useful to clubs. Of course it would take going and watching them to find out if in fact they were any good though.

If our scouting system is as good as its made out to be then we should be looking at... Eriksen AMC Plays for Ajax Roland Bergkamp ST Plays for Excelsior and is the nephew of Dennis. Markus Pedersen ST plays for Vitesse we were linked with him last season. Jeremaine Lens ST/W plays for PSV Gomis ST Gameiro ST Appiah RB M'Bengue LB Anyone else?
-
Definitely take a punt on him for 10mil. Next Rooney in my opinion. In an ideal world with a wealthy chairman we'd go get Huntelaar 8mil, Sturridge 10mil and Wickham 10mil as well as a new LB and cover for both fullback positions. A spend of 50mil is really required, could happen? But sadly i think we will spend nearer half that amount.

Reo Coker? Fuck off man.....We have Gosling, Barton and Nolan who COULD play they defensive midfield role if needed. Oh and Perch
-
Krul, Coloccini, Enrique, Jonas, Tiote, Nolan, Barton and Ben Arfa. Possibly Saylor and Simpson...both need to really iron out a few creases though.

Andy Carroll....Local Hero! O̶r̶ ̶J̶u̶d̶a̶s̶?
Deano replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
rubbish, the time left on his contract is nowt to do with it, if anything, its more grounds for the club telling Liverpool to fuck off. It won't be long before Enrique and Tiotte are also "Judas cunts" too by the way. In fact any decent player we get will be "Judas cunts" but the club is in great hands and is not their fault. What a mong. Go to skunkers and NO too, where there are lots of other idiotic mongs with the same view as you. A bit over-the-top from you there like lol. Players leave clubs all the time, the Judas accusation comes from his supposed loyalties to us, being a supporter and locally born and bred. Enrique and Tiote won't and shouldn't have the same 'love' for the club as Carroll claims to have had and if he'd have wanted to have stayed he could have Doesn't matter where he comes from, he's got his own career and life to put first. Its up to the club to show its worth him staying here. I'd rather not state the obvious ...... try and work it out. I thought they did that, and succeeded. Was the wet ink on his 5 1/2 contract not proof of that? I'll not even discuss the topic with you if you're going to adopt that patronising tone with me fella. Well done...you sussed the prick out quickfast. -
The more i look at it the more i really like it actually. Its a change and people dont like change. Think il get the gold badge version. Looking forward to seeing our orange away kit and black third!
-
That actually is stunning. Like you said, so simple. Makes your wonder what they are doing at puma like.
-
Ain't that the rules these days Gold numbers and writing ya think?
-
Probably bollocks like but i'd imagine there will be a few looking at us and weighing up a bid.
-
Nahh i actually do like it!
-
I think its an improvement on the current one tbh. In fact i actually quite like it. Its different. Have to wait and see in properly before i decide though. Isnt that one in the corner the keeper shirt? That mite be a FMA being a pisstaking bastard however....spurs fan isnt he?
-
Most definitely after we've beaten Birmingham 2-0 as well!
-
Just a suggestion to why he may of been let go. I'd of kept him here fwiw.

My shortlist would be... Strikers = Huntelaar 8mil, Derdiyok, Wickham, Sturridge 8mil and Hooper Midfielders = Larsson, Krancjar 4mil, Jarvis and Lens 6mil. Defenders = M'Bengue 6mil and Naughton 4mil. ---Krul--- Simpson---Taylor---Coloccini---M'Bengue ---Barton---Nolan---Tiote---Jonas--- ---Ben Arfa--- -----Huntelaar----- Subs: Forster, Naughton, Williamson, Gosling, Krancjar, Lens and Sturridge That would be a great starting 11 and options on the bench. Enrique 8mil, Lovenkrands 1mil and Smith 1mil sold. Ferguson and Ranger out on loan. Shola, Best, Guthrie, Raylor and squad players. Kadar, Folan, Vuckic, Lua-Lua and Airey young lads to blood in cup games and last 15/20 mins of games we are comfortable in. 36mil spend, 10mil from sales = Net spend 26mil. That would be a pretty superb summer and one we should be aiming for.

just need a it of positive thinking for it to happen according to TN You should try it sometime you smug bastard

Fuckin get a grip man. FMA and DL are in charge, i've no doubt AP wanted to bring someone in before AC left and even more so after but FMA set on taking the gamble with the team. A gamble which has paid off. In no way is that AP's fault. While I think you're right in a way it's worrying that he wasn't able to use a bit of leverage with the owner and chairman (if Pardew doesn't have a decent relationship with them, no one will) in order to get someone like Sturridge in as soon as it looked like Carroll was away. I'd also question why he thought letting Routledge go was a good idea (given the lack of options we had upfront/out wide) and why bringing in Ireland was such a priority of his since he more or less plays in Nolan's position. Well this is it alex isnt it? A manager SHOULD have a bit more weight behind him but i just think we need to get used to this and find the positives and hope it all works out for the best. I think it can and i will remain positive until i see how this summer goes. To the point on loans, when you look at it, it was a stupid decision to let routledge go but maybe he was kickin up a stink? No good in the dressing room? How WBA and Bolton got Vela and Sturridge and we didnt is beyond belief though.
-
What reason do you have that makes you believe that? And why didnt Liverpool do that with the Torres money? Out of interest, if we hadn't of sold Carroll how much transfer kitty do you think FMA would should have budgeted for this Summer? That should really be added to the £35m. Of course it wont be. Because he hasnt taken a penny out of the club up to now. Liverpools owners are cut from a different cloth. Listen id of loved us to of went and got a 20mil striker in january but theres not alot of quality available in the winter window. It was a gamble which didnt sit easy with me but id rather we scouted properly and got someone in the summer who will be well than panic buy just to appease fans. Id of said about 10mil if carrol hadnt of left and yes i agree he should be puttin his own money into the kitty aswell. Maybe he will? We dont know. Im happy no one has come out and set a figure, they are keeping their cards close to their chest which is a good thing. We dont want clubs knowing our situation, that only plays into their hands. Again id rather they did it this way than name a figure just to appease fans. Perspective check needed for alot of fans imo.

I think i remember DL saying that once we are running at a profit then and only then will FMA start takin money back to repay what he's put into the club. So long as we have a decent team challenging top ten and possibly a cup then im happy for him to do that. If we go backwards again and are constantly skirting around the relegation places i wont be happy with it. What you've got to think is he bought us, we had alot of debt, he's paid most of it but that debt remains to him. He wont right it off so we its to be expected to pay something back each year if we are running at a profit. Its all good for the long term health for the club. It just requires patience from us fans. I can see the bigger picture and some others on here do too, however the vast majority dont and clinge on the to negatives.
-
It has and will be re-invested in the club. Your smart enough to know that. Just because "apparently" we will only spend 20mil doesnt mean the other 15mil wont be invested. Of course it will. Running costs and wages.
-
I'd be suprised if theres anyone now who would say they would of turned down 35mil for Carroll. At the time i was pissed off but really it was the correct thing to do. I reckon we will spend about 20-25mil in the summer. Possibly more, some think thats a foolish opinion, maybe it is i just think we are in such a better financial situation now with a very solid base to the team we could be suprised by FMA and have a really good summer. Remember he has splashed money before...Smith, Barton, Coloccini to name a few. I think the bigger picture is us running at at profit and thats a good thing. It for one prepares us for when the new rules come in and secondly makes us a much more viable and attractive option for prospective buyers.

I'd love to see him stay but from watchin that interview i think he's made it clear that he would be happy to run his contract down and intends on leaving at some point whether its this summer or next. If he loves the club but does want to go, i dont blame him really but sign a new contract so we can get more money out of the deal and sell him to a team abroad.
