I look at the teams dominating this league and this season sees the poorest sides the respective teams have turned out in... well in fucking ages. Sure Chelsea has a lot of the same players, but Bosingwa is half the player he was before the injury. Terry's lost what little pace he had that permitted him to catch up to his own mistakes. Drogba and Lampard and Cole are still good players, but they're not as good as they were last season. Man U have been without a 1st choice central defensive partnership for a lot of the season and have looked resolute. Arsenal crippled by injury but even at full strength still look shit compared to previous years. Liverpool have a fucking terrible squad Man City have spent a staggering amount and have (imo) committed the same cardinal sin of spending vast sums on average players only to have them sit on the bench. If this is true (and I believe it is) it breaks my heart because we're are still years away from all of them. I take your point but i just think we can get summit out of it on tuesday.

We are only missing Nolan and Barfa from our strongest 11 fish. I think thats a pretty strong team out. Not strong enough to beat an in-form Man U though. You never know on the day...we seem to up the anti against the big sides. I just have a gut feeling that we will battle hard and get something out of the game...either a 1-1 draw or a hard faught 2-1 win.

I like him, he's honest and i think his criticism in the media of certain players is just and have no problem with it. He wants to play football and you can tell he wants to make something of his time here. Final judgement will be who stays and who goes and who we bring in through the summer. That and how we do next year. I think he is a 6/10 but has potential to be a good 8/10 manager in the same bracket as a moyes or a redknapp.

The only player id of kept which we sold after relegation would of been habib beye. I think had we of stayed up many of them would of stayed on picking up their unwarranted wages for another year. Yes relegation hit the club financially but not as hard as we had thought after seeing the accounts. My point about going down is it just forced us to act and get rid of the players not worthy of the shirt, it gave players like Carroll, nolan, Colo, Enrique and gutierrez a platform to find confidence and build form upon. Of course I'd rather we didn't have relegation on our record but it was necessary to reset the balance. To re focus and to build our club back up from scratch almost. Top 10 finish this season is a massive step in the right direction and considering we were at one point close to pushing for Europe had we had a few more qualities options within the squad. Quality options which I think will be brought in through the summer. So again that would be another step in the right direction. Next season we will also have a fully fit Ben arfa and gosling and hopefully a fit kadar and vuckic with the 1st team squad too. If we can build our squad with blowing out on trophy signing, progress steadily in the league AND become more financially sound then that to me is progression. Those good times will come about again we've just got to be patient.

Respect LM. We are an up and down club and your right our time will come again. This particular down has been frustrating what with relegation but theres a positive in every negative. Relegation imo actually done us good, although i will never say i wanted it to happen. Just gave us the chance to wipe the slate clean, ship out the shit and the mercenaries and start again. From there on its been even more up and down but still i think as a club we are making steady progress not free from mistakes and set backs however. (Carroll and Hughton) I dont back nor personally support FMA just hope that he will come good and a do right by our club. This summer is crucial and we will see which way we are going. If we dont spend big'ish then LM and others were right all along and i admit my wrongs, however if we do spend, and i honestly feel we will all be pleasantly suprised then we have to start looking at it all as a positive. Back in the PL, secured PL status, gradual improvement, financial improvement and so on....like i said this summer is massive. I just hope that if he doesnt spend that he sells the club instead.
