A year ago I'd have said Barton should take a drop, but as one of our top performers this season he's probably on what he should be. Fair do's to him taking a drop. Having said that, I reckon if he COULD get the same money elsewhere he'd go for it. Enrique can probably get more elsewhere. One good season in what 4? He is still a risk anyway imo and was apparently on a very good wage from the start. I'd rather sign Ireland on the back of yesterdays preformance. He was woeful. I dont actually think Liverpool are anything special. 5-0 yesterday flattered them tbh.
