  1. We have been inconsistent and the lack of options upfront have contributed massively at no fault of his own. FMA taking a gamble and tbf it has paid off. Judge him next season.
  2. Why did we have to change it in the first place. To the best of my knowledge, we've had 4 crests. 1) It was so long ago, that I can't remember it, but I've seen it in old sports books. It bears a very small resemblence to the one we've got now, but I hasten to add, very small. 2. The circle with a picture of a magpie, and I think the castle keep is in the background??? 3. The NUFC one, where the c is lying under the other 3 letters, and there's a very small magpie under the c. 4. The one we've got now. I repeat, why have changes been made? Why can't we have the same crest for ever? I love our badge but i also love the one before this one. Cant see the need to ever change it again tbh.

Birmingham (H) Expect and need a big win. Chelsea (A) Expect to lose but put in a spirited shift. WBA (H) Sign off in style with another big win. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When put into context like that it actually shows just how inconsistent we have been all season, how unbeleivably frsutrating and complacent we've been in alot of games and just how different our season could of been had we kept Barfa fit and replaced Carroll. Its evident that our home form was awful at the start of the season and has progressively got better but still has to be a big improvement next year. Our away form at times is whats got us through. Poor cup displays. (Lack of quality in depth/concentration/motivation) Some great unexpected results, some result we got which we ought to, some which we ought to get but didnt and some down right awful results too. All in all a very very inconsistent season, maybe to be expected with coming back up and settling down again. Stayin up is a huge positive but the season needs to be learned from and we need to use it to solidify our home form next year, become more consistent and keep our concentration late on in games. Alot to learn from this season. The hard work starts now. And we need 6 players in the summer.
  4. More to the point...two home games left...shouldnt our new home kit of been released by now? Normally wear it last two home games or at least the last home game dont we?
  5. Dissapointed but 3-0 flatters them. We worked hard, Jonas namely but at the end of the day its really starting to show now. Our strikeforce is utter shite. It will get us through till the end of the season, no doubt about it we are safe. It would just of been nice to finish top half in our first season back. Instead we've fallen away from what looked like a potential european place to probably about 13th. 13th which i said at the start of the season. Im happy with that, It just could of been so much more. Onwards and upwards. Lets fuckin muller Birmingham next saturday!
  6. when he goes to games again, and sees for himself, I might. Until then I'm not really arsed what he says mate as he spouts crap and I've made my point over 3 years ago about Ashley. I'm sticking to my guns. Can we have a breakdown of the number of games you attended from say 1980 to 2010 (you can include the 70s if you like) so we can decide what weight to give your views. Windaz lives in Ipswich - how many games did you go to when you were exiled?
  7. This is totally the court I'm in. And for starters he wasn't Keegan. I don't care how rational you claim you are, the loss of KK was horrible to take and I don't think any manager would have been up to the same standard in most people's eyes (yes, even SBR). Fact is we had become a PLC and the rules changed - it's partly why Keegan wanted out, he knew what was around the corner. I know for a fact Dalglish didn't want to sell Ferdinand but the club told him the Shearer money had to be repaid and that he was on his way. The deal to sell Lee Clark to Sunderland was completed by Keegan as well I'm led to believe (KK managed to delay the deal by 6 months though). Worth noting too that despite his many years as a manager, his 18 months at SJP amount to the only time he managed a club that wasn't in private ownership. good point and probably beyond the comprehension of some. Who's fault was it we became PLC then LM?
  8. Heated affair!! Messi is fuckin dynamite! Best player ever imo.
  9. Couldnt care less if you are or arent pud.
  10. Fuck off man. Eloquent. What exactly do you disagree with? The latter about Ben Arfa. As eith Tom or Craig posted....the boy has a pretty glittered career so far. Medals and alot of CL experience. Of course he is worth 5 mil. Easy. And just some players you can see and immediatley know they are a bit special. Maybe, maybe not. Mutu for example lit up the premier league when he first signed, obviously he had demons off the field but at first he looked amazing. Similarly with Ben Arfa he's had a bad injury (ok maybe not that similar but you see what I mean) and who knows how well he'll come back from it. Saying that at £5m its certainly worth the risk anyway as thats peanuts in todays market! Again though a glittering career in France doesn't necessarly translate to the same in England, and a good start (especially judging this on 3 games) doesn't mean that on a cold wet day at Stoke (as someone else pointed out) that he'll be up for it, especially as attitude problems have dogged his career so far. Too early to judge either way, so Sniffer has made a very valid point... give the lad a chance to prove his worth rather then touting him as this and that before he's done anything (in this league) to justify it. Still like I said even if he doesn't quite meet your expectations at £5m he'll certainly be a useful and good value for money player anyway. After all that...you proved my point. 5mil.
  11. He'll be a toon player next season. Simples.
  12. Thanks stephen but off ya go back to villa. Id not bother having him back next season now. Concentrate on someone else like taarabt.

  14. Well to me it does and to anyone with any sense of loyalty it would. That said i know clarky went to sunderland like.
  15. If McKay had any sense he would of said Everton. Theres no fuckin way joey would go there. Simples. Barton = Everton Fan Nolan/Raylor = Liverpool Fans
  16. Id of prefered Jol or Bosas but we ended up with AP. I didnt agree with it at the time but i do think he will do a job and we can regain some stability and gradual progression under him. He's done ok. Next season is when we should be judging him.
  17. and then you said this. Okay, you use the word 'expectations' in 2 different ways, I can see that. But regarding the use of the word 'expectations' in the FIRST way, what should our expectations be? We should expect to challenge for Europe. We should expect to challenge for the two domestic cups. We should expect to fight to keep our best players and to sign players that demonstrate an ambition to improve. None of this is rocket science. Absolutely right Gemmil. Thing is i think we can challenge for that next season with a good summer. A good summer in which i actually expect us to have. If we keep Enrique then great, but only if he really wants to stay. If we dont then im not arsed, resigned to it, if he wants to go then thats not our fault nor is it us not wanting to keep our best players. If he does go, so long as we replace him with M'Bengue or Taiwo or alike il be happy. I dont see any of our other key players leaving at all.
  18. Even if they were id not let ferguson nor lualua go. Your a knob.
  19. Yup and we go 11th if Fulham beat Bolton thmora. Still think we are safe.
  20. Better than most expected. Played some great football, some awful football, some suprising results and some shocking results. Conceded late goals to drop points and had a fair few refereeing decisions go against us, some bad luck with injuries and losing arguably our best player.....still staying in the PL and likely top 10. B Could of been so much more and so very different had we not sold carroll, lost barfa to injury and not lost a lead late on in a few games. That said...im very happy with this season. Wasnt happy with the sacking of CH though, shouldnt of been done when it was, imo he should of been here till the end of the season. Didnt agree with the AP appointment but in fairness i do quite like him. Lets just keep this forward movement going by keeping our best players and tieing them down. Signing 5+ players of quality in the summer.
  21. Craig...we had borrowed as much as we could, FMA and SJH had gambled by not spending one year and hoping to still get into the CL...it backfired. We had no other source for credit, no other means to finance and had FMA not be a stupid fucker and took the club off their hands without due diligence we would of went into administration. Of course we would of. Il say it again, for all i hate the fact we went down, its a black mark on our record, it was the best thing that could of happened to the club in the sense it reset the balance. Re-calibrated expectations, dropped a mahoosive wage bill and got rid of MOST of the cocks who were pickin up huge wages and doing fuck all. If we are to be breaking even this season and we have a good summer and a good season next year. We will infact be in a much MUCH better situation. Just my opinion like.
  22. Aye we had great european nights and challenged for the league under FFA and SJH but if they had stayed we would of went into administration. They are the sole reason the club was is such a state. Mike Ashley for all his wrongs actually saved us from that and now we are looking at becoming a financially stable club and building back up what we once had. I fuckin hate LM crack.....tireless shit. Absolute tireless shit.
