At 23 paying a tenna for a ticket is probably the least iv ever paid so i was chuffed...last minute decision after college to go. Id of thought the weather would of been a big factor last night...still i was suprised at such a poor showing!

Just got back from pub after the game... Pretty shitty average performance from us to be honest, 1st half we were 2 nil up but played gash, had alot of the ball but was all infront our back four. Second half we actually looked a little like a football team and attacked quite well. Nothing spectacular but a comfortable win against a totally shit plymouth side. Well done lovenkrands...3 well taken goals. Well done jonas...2 good assists and a pretty rounded performance. Fuck off nicky butt you useless cunt. Oh and anyone see the bird that got some stick all night actually get her tits out at full time? hahaha

no but when he puts his asking price at £130 mil and a bloke comes along and says "130 mil? alright then" then ash says "140 mil then" then 150 160 until our rich pal says "hang on, you're a knobhead, pissoff" This in fact is what i think has happened everytime he has put us up for sale! I honestly dont think he could ask for more than 130mil though....like i said 200mil is what a consortium would need to put us right.

Lets just assume that we are going to gain promotion this season... Do you guys think FMA will sell the club or for that matter even put the club up for sale? If he does, id of thought its not going to be for anything less than 130mil. It gives him the oppertunity to claw back more of his money, which is understandable but isnt the increased amount surely going to scupper NUST's chances of raising that amount of cash? We all hope he does sell up and fuck off and lets us get on with rebuilding our club properly! There are however some positives from this whole facard though...I mean we now have a squad which arguably is full of players who actually want to play for the club, they may not be the best players (far from it) but at least they want to help the cause. We have got rid of MOST of the deadwood and more notably MOST of the the over-earners too. And our wage bill is roughly about 35mil p/a which has to be the 1st time its been that low for a long long time! We are infact now a more viable and attractive investment and are actually going to be on a pretty decent foundation to build upon once FMA does eventually fuck off! I do think there are going to be a good number of consortia watching our situation and probably prepairing packages to buy us out and build us up again but i just hope that this time...if it actually happens...it will be good for the club! 200mil is the figure id imagine any consortium will need to first of all buy the club, secondly pay off the outstanding debts to other clubs for player fee's ( appx 25mil) and finally to invest a sizeable amount of money into the playing squad which imo has do be upwards of 30mil! We all know what needs to happen in an ideal world, and we all know its all quite probable....but will it actually materialise? Surely FMA has had enough of this now?

I agree... Beckford wasnt too long ago playing non-league football, if he was anygood as a youngun he would of been with a professional team...He has got lucky! Theres no doubt he has SOME ability but tht abilty is magnified just because he has pace....1.5mil tops...take it or fuck off bates! Boyd on the other hand is a much more complete striker so id much rather we spent a couple of mil more and got him instead...doubt it will happen, for it to actually happen would require a molecule of ambition and common sense! Oh and WBA are going for Matty Fryatt..........

I cant and never would condone the things he's done and when the journalist realed off that list off incidents i was shocked, that being said though, he does come across as a very articulate, and prefoundly grounded person. Speaks his mind and is exposingly honest about his problems. Yes he has been a cunt, yes he has had problems, yes he has said similar things before BUT this time its his last chance, i think he knows that. I look forward to his return and i do think he will come good and be a key player for us until the end of the season, especially now if smith is going to be out for a while. Him and smith in the middle with jonas on the left or right with a new left or right winger would do ok in the premier league imo.

Pleased about this! Though some say this weakens our squad, it doesnt really, he brought us nothing other than cover and im more than happy for young lua-lua to step up as cover now. The 60k off the wagebook is significant though, i mean thats over 3mil a year! Others are a bit worried we wont have money to spend but i reckon if a decent player comes available then we will make a move. I still expect Kilgallon to come even if he is now effectivly cup tied, a permanent deal for simpson, and possibly beckford. Id love to see us make a move for Mcgugan of forest or ledley.

Technically inept but saying that i was suprisingly pleased with what i saw last night in terms of his passing and crossing/cutting back. What he is good at is carrying the ball, he relieves pressure on the defence and scares the shit out of defenders. He can be frustrating, but sometimes brilliant...he is no ginola or gillespie but i like him and i think we would be alot worse off without him.

Just shows what a funny game football is like because I thought he had a canny first half but was terrible after the break. Hid all the time imo. Carroll was absolutely fucking shocking as well. Total disgrace. He seems to think he's a better player than he is at times and just strolls about. If Shola or Harewood had put that display in first half the crowd would have slaughtered them but Carroll seems to still get the benefit of the doubt. As an aside Nolan doesn't justify his place in the team if he doesn't score. See i know what your saying about carroll lookin a bit laboured but i honestly dont think playing with lovenkrands helped as he was all over the place so made it hard for carroll to anticipate where he should be positionally. That said though, the commentator claimed carroll was "prolific" in the air which i found funny as he had a couple of good chances and didnt connect...he's good and strong in the air but not prolific! Alex mate i do think carroll is showing alot of promise though, a few of his touches to take him away from his man were great last night, most notably the one where he jinked away from his man and dinked the ball in for saylors chance. I honestly think if carroll and shola were our front two consistently and we can get some sort of regular service from the flanks they both with score plenty. As for nolan, he offers very little to the side both going forward or defensively and like butt does he got caught on the ball alot last night...thing is, because of his goal tally he wont be ousted from the team. Im starting to wonder when barton comes back if we should give him one last chance to prove himself because lets face it, attitude aside, he is the best passer of the ball through the middle we have!

Thing is i dont think CH has the balls to go and try and get players we need...that would mean dropping the likes of Nolan and Shola which he wont. We DO need a creative CM and a pacer striker with a decent scoring record but it wont happen. Most im expecting is Simpson sign permanently, Harewood brought back and maybe kilgallon. No one to leave.

Can someone tell my why we cant play football for longer than half a fuckin hour? That has to be the single most frustrating game of football iv watched for a while...fuckin awful really. I mean 1st half an hour is how we should of played for the full 90 mins but we dropped our head when things werent going our way and sat back far too much. Hughton mite be doing a decent job but he isnt a motivater! Also on hughton his subs were shocking today...carroll was offering more than lovenkrands so why take him off? Lovenkrands's touch was shocking all night. Secondly why take Raylor off? He was playing well...wasnt the move to take simpson off who was blowing through his arse and drop raylor to right back? Baffling... Enrique was a fuckin shower tonight too... On a positive note...jonas played well with a few great balls, smudger worked hard with some solid tackles and carroll showed more promise...
