When you were a twinkle in your fathers eye Ally son. ; )

You've forgotten to buy the car. That's a one off payment, not an ongoing expense. Outsmarted by Ally, can there be worse? Not as bad as knowing you made the same point three posts above then being completely ignored in favour of Ally who copies what I said and then gets a response! I didn't realise it was a rhetorical question mind. It did seem quite genuine!

Happy, major factor when deciding is how much money you have or want to spend to buy a car in the first place? You've totted up petrol and road tax, but the real killers and vary a great deal depending on the sort of car you have are MOT, Annual Service, and how readily available parts are for your car, which depends on the price. IE Ford Focus parts may grow on trees because the car is so pupular.

The two pilots had NEVER been on an active mission before. So the US air force decides to send out two complete novices on a mission to take out ground units in a real war... Suppose they have to start somewhere but sounds wrong to me. I know the RAF pilots that helped bomb Baghdad (probably the only pilots who hit the target) had years of experience behind them comparatively.

I violently disagree with it from the bottom of my gut! Must admit I was seething when they ended up qualifyfing anyway.

Nah, Geordio love me man, he was like a lost lamb who followed me and praised everything I said (no sarcasm at all). I seen Northern Soul in certain Working mens club one evening and it had been twisted I chinned him, which never happened obviously. Nor did I get chinned. : ) Manc mag's memory is pretty scary. You are right about Blaydster - he said he was an amateur. Out of sheer curiosity I asked him a few questions for some craic - but he never replied again. I had been boxing through my teens with a local club in Newcastle (Empire) and fought in the north east counties, and my bro was a national ABA finalist so I had a genuine interest in what he said. Don't think there is any threat of a punch up between me and bluestar to be honest (from my side anyway!) ....

He had some brass neck on him like, to carry on spouting shite after he'd been exposed that time. If anything the lies just got more and more outlandish after that. Weren't him and Li3nZ going to have a boxing match at one point to settle their differences? lol. Not sure where you got the last bit from!

what has colour got to do with it, are you racist ? The country would be a lot better off if people who didn't want to integrate into British culture, instead wanting to murder British servicemen, or bomb British civilians, fucked off or didn't bother coming in the first place. Their choice being if they don't voluntarily go, then we will remove them when we get them first. No but im starting to wonder about others... Racist is a word that means nothing in this day, a word that has been branded around so much without thought or justification. Being a racist could be anything from keeping a Nigerian slave in your basement, being a Nazi sympathiser, being slightly miffed at the current immigration "situation" in this country, telling a "racist" joke, to saying "i'm going down the paki garage" or "fancy a chinky" ? Most people would agree the above are on completely different planes of "racism" and I would stress the last couple are not examples of racism at all but it's down to how far left you stand on the political compass. For anyone able to answer the question, out of the Ethincally "enriched" areas / locales in this country (streets, estates, predominantely none - white or of a single none white ethnicity etc), how many could be described being "improved" because of this? It may just be me, but I can only think of estates that have become the complete opposite in terms of crime levels and race relations.

The world of Blaydon gets even more bizarre - he is now a hardcore Australian DJ and has his own record label.

Think that was a hint of sarcasm Tec Tac marra.

I also have an uncontrollable urge to look at womens arses. Even fat birds who are fairly minging, still gotta weigh it up. Same as if they are parading a massive pair of tits in front of my face, have to look... can't help it. The more lager i've drank (pussys drink i know) the longer I have to stare.

Any of you old bastards manage to get onto a final salary pension scheme? I started not so long back at 21, and just missed it. Only a few places doing it now... Apparantly for us standard pensioners we'd have to save a hundred grand just to make 5 K per annum on our pension. Could end up earning 20K per annum when retiring on a final salary of 60 - 70 K..... Complete joke. Hard times are ahead.

Gemmill's post in General Chat: Steve McClaren 0 Gemmill 19 Sun Nov 09, 2003 1:36 pm Gemmill Zero replies. You have certainly come a long way since then, I dare say the majority of the 16 year old arse lickers that frequent this board nowadays would dare NOT reply to one of your posts.

Definitely. The Tyne and Cheyne era were when I genuinely realised he was bordering on the verge of insanity or suffering from severe schitzophrenia, the alter ego's he created for himself to back himself up when cornered. Ended up having an all round argument with himself at one point. I seem to remember he kept saying "check the IP addresses" and that one of his persona's used to post in the middle of the night and the other during the day.... YES EXACTLY, YOU'RE A NUTTER MATE. Anyway hello Blaydon if you're there. P.S Just joking Blaydon mate, no need to send me any 10000 word lectures via PM, that start of rather calm and cooling BUT END UP BORDERING ON THE VERGE OF AN ESCAPED MENTAL HOME MURDERER THAT@S GOING TO KILL ME MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!! P.P.S I am not alexthemag.

Anyone remember this? Probably not.... http://web.archive.org/web/20050101-200001...linuxdriven.net Anyone remember that guy called "Hawks" ? Think he was a mod and generally regarded as an all round legend. Completely forgot about him! Here's one with a "last post by" the one and only "TYNE" in general chat! http://web.archive.org/web/20050101-200101...linuxdriven.net Loads more available unfortunately cant open up the actual posts but can view the general and newcastle chat boards. Probably a lot of embarrassment to be had looking through them, even though not all pages open. Oh how I wish I could open Gemmil's post titled "Steve Mclaren" from 2002... All I need to find now are those damn posts where Geordie Boyo used to threated everyone in CAPS LOCK before he suddenly turned into an Internet nice guy....

My boyfriend's best mate does this. He doesn't drink (claims to have tried it and had a 'bad experience' - who hasn't - though no one can recall this and he won't go into detail). Whenever we meet new people though he trots out the old 'don't need a drink..' which is fair enough but he always makes us feel like total alcoholics... mind he does come in handy for a lift home. This is a completely random question, and I have never spoken to you before on this message board, I won't go into details before asking but have you ever been out in Carlisle? Terminal 1 in particular?

Great match. The dart board down the local has turned into the most popular venue in the town! Normally its the same group of bloke having a game of arras now people are queuing up. Always happens this time of year. P.S I was absolutely gutted "Nixxy" never won, purely to see that money grabbing bitch of a woman that poor bastard Adams has for a wife. Spoiled brat.

Was Emre playing for Turkey at the most recent International at the Stadium of Shite (Qualifier) We hammered them from whistle to whistle and there were hundreds of supporters chanting "I'd rather be a paki than a Turk" I don't think there were any repercussions from the police or the FA at all.

What utter bollocks. Just because you have been a decent footballer what right does that give you to walk into a top level job without any experience whatsoever? All of the big 4's managers in this country haven't been top level players. Seriously, get a clue. Why are you harping on about "the right" to be a manager? Who is talking about "the right" to be a manager? I am not talking about "rights", man. Of course, anyone can be a manager. Technically you could know sod all about football and be a manager. All it's down to like any job is if you can get employed. And calm down a little too... If you have never been there, and done it - everything from drills, training, and doing the business on a Saturday afternoon, I DO believe you are lacking that something, an extra bit of nous and experience you can use to manage a team. OK, so the guy has had an awesome apprenticeship with Robson, and will have learned a lot in that time, but that edge is still missing and I genuinely believe he would be a better manager for it had he been a top player. PLEASE do not confuse this as meaning a top player automatically makes a good manager. If you believe this is my point then you need to read up on your English. Its the same for any kind of coach. Do you think a boxer can be trained by a guy who has never stepped in the ring better than a trained coach who has also fought the greatest fighters of his time and been successful? Sure, on some occasions this may be true one for one, but that little extra nous through actual experience of the sport is what JM will never have. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying now and are less offended. I think that I understand what you're trying to say - that an individual with experience of playing will be better equipped than that same individual without experience of playing - and I agree with you if that's what you're saying, but it's kind of irrelevant in the real world because an individual either does, or does not, have experience of playing. So yes Mourinho would benefit if he could somehow go back and get that experience, but he can't, the fact remains that he is still a top class coach, who has the record to back it up. It makes me laugh when people sneer at him for not having played at the top level because I can't think of any of the real top-class players - Pele, Best, Maradona, etc - who have been anything other than a complete failure, when it comes to management - if they've even bothered to try, that is. Yeah, you've got Rijkaard who's doing ok at Barca and a couple of others, but none have really become top-class managers at the Robson, Ferguson, etc, level. Also, I'm not sure how good a metaphor your boxing example is, not sure I can think of a really successful fighter that's gone on to become a really successful coach, might be wrong like. Robson played at the very top for England over two decades and had a fine goalscoring record for what was in effect a kind of winger come attacking role. Not sure of Ferguson's playing history, was he not a pro in the first division? I really am not sure, I hate the man even though he is a good manager. I think the boxing relation is relevant and the same rule applies. I may have exagerated a coach's fighting history slightly as the majority of good coaches have been successful amateurs. You will find the best coach's have extensive careers with numerous years of experience fighting in the ABA's or ABA winners. I will have to find the name but one of the most reputable coach's in the country won the ABA's as an amateur consecutive years I think at different weights too.

I knew signing a stupid fucking Turk was a mistake, the little racist rascal!
