  1. I usually stay on if i'm losing simply because I want a rematch. Especially if i'm playing with an inferior team, i like to get some revenge! Was playing Utd (again) last night, was 3-0 down but fought back to 3-3 and then 4-4 and then went 5-4 up, but conceded a goal in the last minute of extra time and lost on pens, i was raging with myself!!! What Lua Lua is it by the way?
  2. I emailed Xbox Support and got a reply back today, for some reason my privacy setting was set to friends-only so i couldn't message enyone else. I always wondered about that. Anyway hopefully that should sort it. My new fad is goin 3 or 4 * teams and trying to beat Man Utd (9/10 thats who you're playing). Noone ever seems interested in a fair game so i took to this tactic to save myself from going the same 2 teams every time. It's pretty hard but satisfying if you can pull it off. I always try and leave a defender a few yards back to cover the obligatory avalanche of through balls to Rooney and Ronaldo. Providing the guy isn't exceptionally good then it is possible to win although i have taken a few beatings to be fair. Only to be expected i suppose.
  3. How do you send messages to people? I've often wanted so send a "ha ha ha" or something equally intelligent to a quitter before but it's always greyed out. I can only send messages to friends.
  4. I think he'd be a great short term signing, proven goalscorer everywhere he's been. He can show Martins what a first touch is while he's here.
  5. There is no argument though. You've changed your argument about 3 times since the thread started. We've gone from "He can't do it on a level playing field" to "Well but he can't do it on an uneven playing field" to "well alright he can but it was just a one off though". It looks like your just after a bit of attention to be honest.
  6. This is getting a bit silly now isn't it? Fergie must have shat on your doorstep i presume.
  7. But i thought you said you wanted him to prove himself on a level playing field? Which he did. Now your saying thats not good enough, and he has to prove himself while at a disadvantage! Jeez make up your mind
  8. Well what about Aberdeen then? Not exactly an open chequebook there but still built a good team and won the cup winners cup and the league.
  9. Actually his success at Man Utd has been built up on low cost buys and youth team players. The Neville's, Butt, Scholes, Giggs and Beckham all cost nothing while players like, Schmeichel, Cantona, Ince, Dublin and Kanchelskis and Keane were all bought for nominal fee's. He has spent big on some players but overall i don't think you can say he's only successful because he's had money. He rebuilt Man Utd from the ground up, they were patient with him in the beginning and they are now reaping the rewards.
  10. Ashley being able to down a pint live on TV - surely some sort of record for a PL owner. What more positives do you need? I'm sure players and managers must be queueing up to sign when they see what a professionally run outfit we are. Perhaps, we could claim some sort of moral victory and parade a trophy, we might as well, Ashley could wear a moo-moo like the darts players do and walk about smiling and waving with a couple of birds flanking him
  11. Seems fair enough to me. When did football fans feel they could start ignoring the laws imposed for everyone's safety and stand anyway? What about eldery spectators and young children sitting behind who then also have to stand just so they can see the game. I agree it's better when standing but the Taylor report was filed for a reason. Looks like Middlesborogh are just trying to cover their own backs here which is fair enough, it gives them some leverage when the FA or UEFA come calling to hit them with fines and sanctions.
  12. They could get Johnny Vegas to play Mike Ashley, with the monkey playing Dennis Wise
  13. Why? He's probably already minted and will no doubt get a tidy severance package for doing a shit job. He also knobbed Caprice! He's getting fuck all sympathy from me.
  14. Saviola? I doubt anyone at the club has even heard of him. I'm convinced the clowns down at the circus are using FM Scout or something similar.
  15. It's clearly his hair they're angry about. It truly is appalling.
  16. No not really, I just made that up. See things can always be worse!
  17. There's no sand about here. For me if Given goes which looks likely then that could be the final nail. Owen's not exaclty on top form either but add to that the fact he's crocked I look around and don't see 3 worse teams. We're bearing all the hallmarks of a side going down. West Brom and Stoke will go down, so for me it's either Newcastle, Portsmouth or Bolton who will go down with them.
  18. Cool. I'm at work the now planning to be on later on though, about 5 or 6

    Far Cry 2

Completed this game a few weeks ago. Wasn't perfect but forgave it's flaws because of the massive freedom it offered in the open world scenario. Respawning guard-posts were the most obvious annoyance, it would have been easy for the makers to incorporate a feature to negotiate a safe passage, using diamonds to pass through. No mode of transport through the air either, but overall thought it was a cracking game. Love the apsect of planning what mission to do then how to get there etc.
  20. I'm so bored of playing Inter!!! I like to choose smaller teams instead of just going the best teams all the time (yawn) Also if the opponent chooses a small team it makes for a more skilled game instead of just repeatedly hitting through-ball and charging though the defence with you're big fast striker! That's not football (well not as we know it!) If anyone wants a game give me a shout.
  21. A match made in heaven if ever there was one

No he wouldn't but given our track record of signing foreign players, in fact just any player, then I think the correct thing to do is write him off even before i've seen him play.

    Johnson

Why would we need him we've got Barton and Butt
  24. Money talks. Lots of managers want to manage in the EPL and moreso a big club, ffs Sunderland aparantly had endless applications from Europe. If the money was shit though nobody would want to come to join Ashley's circus. To summarise, the best we can hope for is to avoid relegation and then get reamered from some foreign mercenary. Or look forward to another year of looking at Kinnear's greasy hair.
