1. From today's Ronnie: He'd rather have Roeder, Hughes or Pearce than Hitzfeld or even Allardyce. Apparently, in his recent Mag interview, he said he "shudders" at the thought of a foreigner. He should have his right to an opinion rescinded, never mind get paid for sharing it with us.
2. I'm not even going to start on what's wrong with that.
3. Every time I read those posts I have a fit of the giggles, which isn't good because I'm in the university library. Gemmill man, you should have your own show.
4. Good lass. 111488 "So Chris....the Hitzfeld campaign?" "Anything you want to know Chris. Shoot." "You're my kind of interviewee Chris." "Here to help, Chris. Now whaddya wanna know." What a fucking goon. 111544 Laughing at his own answers to his own questions. "Oooo Chris, these questions. I'm killing me! (laughs)" 112299
5. But APART from Desperate housewives, Lost, American chopper, American Hot Rod, Biker build off, Top Gear, Poirot, Shameless, Six feet under, River cottage, Red Dwarf, Ray Mears Bushcraft ,Documentarys, anything about space/genetics/murders/aliens/strange people, MOTD, weekend westcountry match and X factor *deep breath* WHAT has the tv ever done for us? 112093
6. We'd have turned them to shite and Wenger would have went and got three other players and turned them into top players too, more than likely.
7. Hardly Parker's fault we've got the Keystone Cops at the back.
8. You had my sympathy with the Harry Hill thing, but it's just gone out the window.
9. Put me down for a tick in the 'Seinfeld nerd' box. In the last fortnight, seasons 1-4 have been watched and seasons 5-6 are currently in the post courtesy of play.com (thanks HF).
10. Just watched the Caves one on the Teleport. Hard to argue against the license fee when you see that, incredible.
11. Hitzfeld's only 57. See your point though, no appointment can ever be without its critics.
12. Suit yourself. You obviously think Deschamps' record of one great cup run and less success with Monaco than Jean Tigana suggests he's the man to take NUFC to the top. I don't. 110807 Yes I actualy do think he would be a good appointment but my discussion with you isn't based around what I think but looking at the pedigree of him as a manager. Le Guen, Hiddink, O'Neil all managers that are touted as the one to lead Newcastle back to consistant top four finishes and yet all managers that have only performed in France, Holland and Scotland (England to some degree for O'Neil). You argue that Deschamp has only had one decent cup run, now unless you know something I don't, the Champions League isn't really a "cup" competition, is it? To get there you have to consistantly perform through the group stage and then they had to knock out Real and Chelsea - you dismiss it too lightly. By the way Monaco and Newcastle are closer in club stature than Monaco and Fulham. Success should be messured in consistant top 4 league finishes (and Europena qualification) but it appears you don't rate that as a successful season. 110808 There are certainly similar arguments to be made against all those managers you mention. The only manager in the frame with a pretty unblemished record is really Hitzfeld. Course that's no reason to write any of the others off, nobody's perfect. His record at Monaco is admirable, he did superbly to get to that Champions League final and has a decent record in their League. However football history is littered with managers who had one great cup success or a few brilliant seasons before falling from grace, or even managers who could only do it at one club then failed miserably elsewhere, or at least never got near similar success. I'm not saying Deschamps is a poor manager, or that he doesn't have a good record so far. I do though think that he is still inexperienced and still to prove himself over a long period of time or at more than one club. Course, he deserves his chance and he's likely to do well wherever he goes, however with the current situation as it is, the job of the next manager of NUFC is a monumentally large one and he would be a massive gamble in my opinion.

14. I really don't see your point here. What's Newcastle got to do with it? My point was that qualifying for the Champions League with Monaco is like qualifying in this country with Arsenal. They are a big successful club in France with a strong European pedigree who can expect to be up there. I'm really not sure why you brought Newcastle into it? In fact I'm not even sure why you brought those other French clubs into it. Who said it wasn't good enough? I am just of the opinion that three seasons worth of decent (no better than that) management is no basis on which to hire a manager for such a huge and difficult job that the next manager of NUFC will have on his hands. Good for them, he did a good job for them, no-one's denying that. Don't forget that Jean Tigana took Monaco to a League title and a Champions League semi final too. Didn't exactly do a great job at Fulham, did he?
15. What proven track record? One cup run in the Champions League and a French LEAGUE Cup. Gerrin. That he played in the Premier League and won the World Cup means absolutely nowt. 110797 And consistant Champions League qualification in a league far more competitive than Scotland, yeap no proven track record. Mind you Wullie I can see you being happy once Bruce is appointed. 110801 Why? Bruce is not going to be appointed, so that's a complete non-starter anyway, but I don't believe I ever mentioned Bruce. For the record, I don't think much of O'Neill either because Scotland is a joke league, so I'm not sure why you bring that up. Monaco have won the French League twice in the past ten years, he hardly qualified for the Champions League with some rank outsider.
16. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390...6140026,00.html It's The Sun, so it's pinch-of-salt time, but still rather worrying. Would be bloody typical however.
17. Those three big games came at the right time. If we'd carried on playing average sides and kept winning, it wouldn't have surprised me for Shepherd to have been daft enough to offer it to Roeder.

19. Mine's arrived, that online ordering is cracking. Much better than pissing about trying to get an envelope and a stamp.
20. There were a few quotes that appeared around the time of the Sven-gate thing a couple of month back from "insiders" (meaning they were probably made up, but I digress) saying that with his revelations Sven had burned so many bridges within the Premier League and made it impossible for him to ever manage there.
21. http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=131 Blatant plagiarism tbh.
22. Bollocks, when he joined we were challenging for the league and looking like becoming a top team, had we been in our current situation he would not have joined up, he thought he was going to win trophies as did we, that is why he joined us. 109427 Correct.
23. Haven't you got a D500 SMO? I have and unfortunately, for the D500, you have to have a pin number for outgoing Bluetooth stuff. A lot of phones though just let you send stuff randomly, it's called, as Craig says, Bluejacking. Means you can create phonebook entries but write whatever you like and send them to anyone in range as if you were sending a text message. Gutted I can't do it, would make lectures and shit matches much more entertaining.
