I agree completely PP. While the Liverpool fanfs didnt sing much for away support, at least when they did they had a number of different actual songs (as such) while the most we muster up is the odd "toon toon". Blaydon races is hardly sung (even when it is its frigging wrong) and as you say we have so few songs for the players "one Shay Given"? surely we can do better? Whistling over the top of YNWA or "You Support is Shit" etc dont really count in my book and as also cringe worthy imo. I think we're better than that.

Talking about this today. I genuinely dont get all the stick thrown at Wise for anything other than being Dennis wise? Sure, he was a little prick as a footballer, but I really know fuck all else about him or what he does or doesnt do for this club. I couldnt argue to get rid of him as I dont knnow what he is or isnt to blame for. Our chairman is another matter, I hold him responsible for communicating with the fans (Llambias) and at the moment that side of the club is amongst the worse I can remember. Half of the problems come out of the way things are or arent communicated from the club.

Just got back in from that. Fucking hell man, to think a few years back we were on a similar level with Liverpool. We couldnt be much further away right now. Not so much men against boys but men against oap's. Ran rings round us and we stood and watched. I may be wrong havent not seen replays or read any reports yet, but looked to me like the ref was fucking horrendous. Handball before their third and giving a blatant corner to them when is was a GK to us near the end. Still, it wouldnt have made much difference. If MA says he wants to push on in 2009, I hope he was watching every kick of THAT game and might realise just what needs done. Not even going to go into specifics, there was so much wrong all over the pitch.

I'll respond to the last sentence at the end of this next transfer window.

I give one every year but this year just couldn't justify it. We've struggled like most this last Qtr and while we're doing ok, we're about 20% down on last year. While no one mentioned it, I doubt any expected a bonus. That said, I did buy a 40" TV which was picked out of a hat for someone at the staff party. As an employer, I'm much happier if I can give the staff a Xmas bonus but you just need to be cautious / realistic.

He owes us fuck all imo. Owen still bangs them in for fun and while no top team would rely on him as their no 1 striker, he would make an excellent 1 of 4 for any team. Injuries are part of the game and he's been very unlucky since he came here. At one point I thought it scandalous that he might move on but now I can appreciate that his next contract could well be his last and that he needs to look after no1. I'd love him to stay, but in our current plight I think I'd understand him being off. imo he will wait to see if we get into Europe. Im just glad he wont be off in Jan (unless MA decides he wants to cash in and then we're fucked).
