Nice chance to do something positive for a change. Agreed, be good to put all this shite behind us for a game. Pick a home game, ask everyone to take their scarves etc (will anyway as its bloody freezing), get them two lassies who sing near the trent to join in, get some band to sit at the bottom of the stairs near the club shop, then singing his song before (especially), at the start and during the game. Speak to the ronny gill and let them know that its to celebrate a man who's done so much for the club and area who might need some extra cheer this time of year.

His complete inability to see Dennis Wise as the fucking liability he is and that when trying to find a manager to replace Keegan all wise could do was call his old mate Joe Kinnear is a fucking joke. Alot of people like MA know that investments should be long term. Yes, some try to do a quick turn around for a fast buck. MA is trying to sell the club now for a profit. If we go down though, I dont see him dumping the club for a loss. Unless someone saw the potential and paid over the odds (which I dont see happening) then I think he would ride it out and try and get us back up. This would be done by trying to find the right manager (I dont think JFK would be kept) who would nurture the young kids to avoid having to spend big. Some of the good kids would be sold off to keep the books around level to make up for the drop in gates / tv / merchandise etc. Scary stuff but very possible imo.

Yes we need those players but whether we get them (or any) is another thing. Also JFKs comment on not letting 1st team players go to get players in remains to be seen. If we just add to the first squad, then alls good. But I do fear seeing some key players being shipped out, or no players coming in. Then there are the matter of the contracts, thats a whole other problem right there. I can just see MA saying he expects lesser contracts to start being awarded and he trying to follow that suit paving the way for a bunch of players leaving on a free.

I always look for three other teams more likely to drop. West Brom I think is nailed on. I woulld say Blackburn, but if they change manager you never know. Same with Sunderland, they aint far behind and a new manager could pull them back up. Spurs I think will be ok under Harry. West Ham I think have enough to stay up and City certainly have the resources to spend this window. I dunno, looking precarious like....

Personally, I thought the song was sang without any real thought so whether it was racist or not. Its a shit song and I cringe hearing it. But, its not racist. It doesnt even mention race?
