Loving the media spin that England underestimated the Russian bid. Of course we did, because it was shite.

Russian lass at work threatening me with the Equlality and Diversity Policy. Yeah, NOW you want an equal playing field!

I work with a Russian lass. I'm off to shit in her handbag.

Loving the fact that everyone on FiveLive is ITCHING to say it was down to bribery but can't.

Let's hope it's one huge fuck up.

'..organised in England..' Kiss of fucking death, equivalent to a 'there there' pity back slap..

Blatter about to deliver result, before jumping in his new Ferrari and driving to his Yacht to set sail to his newly acquired Caribbean Island..

Massive stitch up if we've gone out first round. It was a strong bid, just goes to show the politics. We've huffed them.

Love this photo, used to have a poster of it on my wall as a kid.

I went to a Murder Mystery night, and being a cynical miserable bastid I wasn't looking forward to it, but it was a cracking night to be fair.

Wayne Rooney - he's been fucking awful this season.. -
The BBC want their arses kicking like. It's the worst kept secret in football that FIFA takes backhanders to look favourably on bids etc, tell us something we don't know. FIFA are more arsed that two of their own got caught than bothered about what they did. Did the BBC really think they were going to bring down FIFA corruption? You've got to play the game man ffs, which is why we won't get it.

I can't understand the resentment for Stella from the rest of them, I can only put this down to the fact that she's possibly one of the only normal ones in there. Brady's comment about her having no personality is bollocks. Yeah, Stuart has a big personality, but it's the personality of a cunt.

Ken Dodd had to go like.

Is Mancy pretending he's a solicitor again? You'd think 3 restraining orders would be enough.

Like Gemmill I'm also slumming it and getting the Metro darling. Going far too well..

I resent Christmas being pushed big style in October/November but once Dec 1st gets here I'll be as Christmassy as you want! We'll be putting the work tree up on Monday I reckon and the house one probably the week after..my in-laws usually buy us a little real one when they get there's.
-
It's when it becomes compacted and icy that it becomes a real problem..which is why I chose not to take the car in today and stick to the Metro! It's weird though because it goes from being a blizzard when your heart sinks as it looks dramatic and scary to it being dead calm and clear.

I think there has to be a correct balance. If it means you're going to struggle to get home and either be stuck in your car, or have to pay to stay in a hotel then I think you should be allowed to take the day off or go home before it gets bad. I dont think you should be expected to get to work no matter what the consequences, but should be allowed to take a days holiday if you're not going to make it in. Some people really do take the piss tho! Yup, that's what I was getting at. Especially as we had someone ring in saying there were no bus's from their area so they were staying off..only for two other members of staff who live near them to come in on the bus they said wasn't running..

Easy money..I don't blame him to be honest.

I am at work as the trains are running fine but on the whole I think if you are set up for home working which we are then it does make sense to do so. Last year when the snow first hit I didn't get in till noon whereas on the following days when I did stay home I could do a full days work. I enjoy the jibes about people being soft but in 2010 home working should be encouraged imo. Hey, don't get me wrong, it's easy to do stuff at home now you're right and I would say if you're set up to do the same work you do from coming in at home then stay home. However, how many people are really set up to do that? I'm only having a dig at those who are half arsed and looking for an excuse, we've all got them in every workplace..

I don't want to turn this into a North-South thing (ok, maybe I am) but all I see on here is people saying it's a pain in the arse but still finding a way of getting in or round it. Whilst now it's hit the south and the news are covering it all I'm hearing is people giving up and staying at home..
