What year was this? We used to go to Estartit laste 80's early 90's to the campsite you're on about. No word of alie one night me we're going back to the mobile home and there's some kid lieing on the grass pissed and asleep. I only remember this as my mam and dad had a massive barney over it. My mam was a nurse at the time and wanted to help him while my faffa's opinion was 'sod him, let him sleep it off, nowt to do with us.' He was a caring man at times. I went to Estartit in 96 and 97 on a campsite, probably the same one, at the end of a big dirt track? It was huge one called Castel Montgri or something. We went there a few times on the bus to stay in the mobile home as it was the only way we could afford to go abroad. *cue violin music* To be fair though we had a fantastic time there as kids, the place was massive.

Rehills is def the place to go. I purchased this from there the other day. Very nice. Just to update that I really can't get enough of this stuff now. Only lager I really like is Czech and this stuff really hits the spot. Had a pint of their Angel of the North in Stamfordham at the weekend and that was lush as well. The Wylam Brewery slowly becoming a favourite!

I once tried to pull a girl I used to go school with when I was 18, really liked her, got nervous, drank to deal with it, woke up next morning in her bed at her flat. Result? No, her best mate was lieing next to me. Tit.

People who take 5-a-side way to seriously!
sweetleftpeg replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
What I'm noticing more and more from young uns coming into our 5-a-side league is cheating and timewasting. It's so bad it's actually gone from annoying to comical. It's the Sky generation who learnt stuff off the tele. I've always defended football when non-footballing fans have a rant about footballers being bad role models and saying that kids don't really copy them. However, when you see kids picking the ball up, jogging away with it, then dropping it behind their back like their in some sort of Champions League quarter final that argument falls flat. Cheating and poor sportsmanship is especially bad these days, stealing yards, timewasting (it's 5 a fucking side man!) and worst of all diving. It's got pretty pathetic amongst some of the younger lads now like. -
Our 5-a-side league has been a bit random this year. There's 3 games left and 6 of us have all got the dame points total. We could easily still finish 3rd top or 3rd bottom. I actually scored a couple of weeks ago. Underarm throw to our lad up front who went to twat it on the turn..air kicked it..keeper dived expecting contact..ball in net. Chilavert eat your heart out.

I just want a keeper who comes for fucking crosses and catches them. We haven't had one of those for years.

My mam bought be a selection of beers for Christmas and one of them was the Seaton Deleval Pale Ale. Prefer to drink darker ales usually but it was really nice. Also try to get this whenever I'm up in Scotland. Had a pint of it years ago in a borders pub and have liked it since. Actually went to the Brewery in Castle Douglas to buy a case when I was up there once!

I also have the pleasure of running the GNR this year, and for anyone off here who's met me, you'll know that idea sounds hilarious. Running for Macmillan, already got a Just Giving page for another Macmillan event I'm doing so I'll put the link up nearer the time.

Newcastle United v Manchester United
sweetleftpeg replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this but how much of a carthorse did Stephen Ireland look? Never followed his career closely to be honest, is he usually that slow to run/react to anything or is it just rust? -
It wasn't so much the apparent lack of effort when he came back at the end of the relegation season but hid complete lack of giving a shit afterwards that fucked me off. I don't know whether he wasn't fit, simply didn't give a fuck, or all those injuries had finally caught up with him and his game had just gone to shit (performances since joining Man Utd seem to point to the latter) but the whole brochure incident and complete silence when we went down do point to someone who couldn't care less. What I'm trying to say is, he's fair game for stick, the knacker.

We had a massive barny with him on the train when we were going down to Sheff Wed away. Him and some of his hangers on were in our reserved seats and point blank refused to move, him claiming that there was no reserved seats for the train when there basically was. He was arraogant and spoke to us like we were pieces of shit. My mate was going to flatten him after both parties exchanged vollys of abuse but we decided to leave it and take other seats rather than have the away day spoiled before it had begun, and just grass the bellend when the guard came round. Guess what? There was no guard anywhere between Newcastle and Doncaster. When we got off we purposely left past him with one last bit of verbal, something along the lines of baldy Manchester United baised cunt. Seriously, the man's attitude stunk of a billy bog bollocks and seeing as we got beat that day it might have been worth giving him a slap after all..fucking hindsight.

I was actually surprised at how few people did fuck off at 4-0, considering. On the plus side, my mate took his two kids to their first ever game (they're 10 and 5) and I had been bigging us up to them all week, telling them they'd love it etc. So at 4-0 I'm sending him apologetic texts (why, I don't know, it wasn't my fault) and saying I may have been responsible for his kids either hating football or deciding to support Arsenal. Instead, they're first game was one of the most incredible they'll ever go to. Phew.

DARREN BENT'S DATES WITH DAUGHTER OF STEVE BRUCE
sweetleftpeg replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
No wonder he barred her from the Cristmas party with her past.. -
Thank fuck for that. For a minute there I thought I was dead.
-
We got lucky, very lucky, with the way things went last time we got relegated. We won't get that lucky again.
-
As much as I hate Redknapp, he's just been on SSN saying some very interesting things about the transfer..hmm..
-
Spot on. But I think we all know which one will happen..
-
We send out the signal we're a selling club as well, if we're willing to flog our prized asset then anyone can go. Tiote to Chelsea in the summer? You wouldn't bet against it now.
-
This. Find it strange that people are looking on this as good business. It signals our intentions one way or the other. No Ifs or buts. Thirded. Massive lack of ambition. We're being run like Sports Direct. We should be building a team around Carroll, end of.
-
It won't be reinvested though. Seriously, given the history of the fat fucker here and everything he's done, does anyone truly believe that it will be used to buy players? The policy has been set, bring them in young and cheap then sell them high. The summer will be spent scouring the lower leagues and abroad for cheap young uns. It's like the 80s all over again, except with less shit music.
-
Can we still recall Xisco?
-
Whilst it's way, way over the top for what he's worth, the problem is that the money will not be reinvested in the squad.
