biggest thing to remember as a beginner is that you're a beginner don't try and get too far ahead of yourself, if for whatever reason you do find yourself at the top of a slope that is beyond your ability resist the urge to take off your skis and slide down on your bum. never a good idea as you don't have any means of slowing or stopping. sidestep down if you have too but LEAVE YOUR SKIS ON!

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1032938/derek-llambias:-newcastle-hierarchy-till-call-it-st-james'-park?cc=5901 Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias has admitted he and owner Mike Ashley still call the club's ground St James' Park, rather than the Sports Direct Arena. The pair sparked fury on Tyneside when they decided to re-name the 52,000 capacity stadium - clothing retailers Sports Direct are owned by Ashley - in a bid to attract a commercial sponsor. Supporters were outraged at the abandonment of the name that has accompanied the stadium since it was first opened in 1892, with one Magpies fan daubing the old name back on a wall in paint after the St James' Park signage was removed several weeks ago. Others recently brought a coffin bearing the St James' Park name to a home game, while Sports Direct hoarding at the ground was ripped off during Thursday night's reserve team draw against Sunderland. Llambias insists he understands the frustrations at the club's decision and, a touch surprisingly, said that despite publicly backing the name change, neither he nor the owner use it. "Naming rights is such a passionate thing, but it's not about being disrespectful or taking away the tradition or history of the club, it's about trying to get another Yohan Cabaye out there on the pitch," Llambias told The Times. "Do you think me and Mike call it the Sports Direct Arena? We call it St James' Park, because it is St James' Park. But, to optimise our commercial side, we needed to get that in there. Other clubs do it. "Mike is a Chelsea supporter. Everyone thinks he is a Tottenham supporter, by the way, and that upsets him. But if Stamford Bridge was changing names, he'd have a view. It will always be Stamford Bridge. "The same goes for St James'. But we have to do our best for the club and for the people who turn up to see the games.'' The revelation comes a day after the Magpies announced an operating loss of £3.9 million, a figure which represents a massive improvement on the previous two years and a significant step towards the break-even point.

as an aside...are you still having dizzy spells. if so when? the reason i ask is because i get them sometimes, the doc i've seen says that you can get them from having tiny crystals form in your inner ear and when they dislodge they cause your inner ear to feel like you are unbalanced/spinning.

Derailing the thread, bringing in completely unrelated information, answering a question with a question etc. Annoying, isn't it? not particularly. So why don't you answer my question ? What do you think is the worst or the biggest prejudice ? Calling someone names like a "racist" does, or blowing up innocent civilians in a shopping centre ? Boys will be boys. have the courage of your convictions man. Answer the question. Annoying isn't it, when someone shows you up to be a complete total hypocrite You really think kneecapping and blowing up innocent civilians is justified and the lesser evil than someone calling someone "racist" names, don't you ? Or are you going to refute this point ? So you'll agree you're a total hypocrite then LM.....ok, sorted. -

Not sure there's much point in prosecuting people like her I must say. As it's only going to be a slap on wrists, which is all it can be tbh. She'll be a heroine of the far right now like. At 34 she's had a hard fucking paper round as well. agreed....any good lawyer would be able to get her punishment stayed or reduced as the last two items in Public Order are fairly broad and ill defined. Nah it's right she was nicked I'd say, if you were black and in that compartment with her and theres no way you can just alight the tram instantly you shouldn't have to put up with being abused through no fault of your own. Nobody was 'bringing it on themselves' or escalating it so the public disorder aspect of it was all her own work. I'm glad for them that she'll go in front of the Mags for it as it's important to send a message that's not what you should have to put up with if you're on public transport minding your own business. The sentence will be minimal as Alex says but it's beside the point for me. She's spent a night in custody already too by the sounds of it. totally agree with what you're saying MM, she's a complete idiot but she is also only giving her opinion (as deluded and fucked up as it may be). to bad for the kid as has already been pointed out, you can tell he's distrought by the whole thing and doesn't know why everyone is shouting at mummy....unfortunately she will be the one to explain it to him. Thing is theres 'giving your opinion' and then theres giving your opinion incessantly ie harassing people. You can give your opinion once and you've made your point, if you feel you need to make it. People can then decide to engage with you about it or not. If you engage, it can become a conversation, if not, that should be the end of the matter-the holder of the opinion has had their freedom of expression and the next person should then have their freedom to go about their lawful business in peace. In this case the rest of the tram clearly decide it's not a conversation they want to have as she's just some racist arsehole, but they're not allowed to go in peace as she's intent on abusing them. That's harassment. Freedom of expression and freedom not to be harassed are two very easily reconcilable rights despite what the media often says. well said.
