  1. HF I absolutely hate that article, his opposition to the 'blame the left' theme is shit. Iraq is an absurd anology, just cos someone said it was just like underming Bush doesn't mean that it is. The American electorate are facile when it comes to domestic health care policy i.e. they don't give a fuck. People really gave a shit about Iraq though and that guilt ridden article should be dismissed as the incredulous nonsense that it is. The first black president of america with a long term centrist yet progressive 'plan' for this and his second term is going to be the subject of vitriolic criticism, something that will filter through to non engaged and uninformed middle America. What these far left jerks don't get is that the majority are not sure about reform and that the real political and economic objective was and is to sort out the finance. I've sat in ASCO sessions with federal finance guys doing apocalyptic scenarios on the economy, never mind the federal reserve. Reform will hurt everyone apart fom those too rich to care.
  2. Can i just add about the burkini that swimming pools dont allow men to swim in 'shorts' for hygiene reasons. They argue that swimming shorts are also worn outside in the streets and are therefore not clean. Yes, thats right folks, speedos are obligatory. If i have to look like a cunt, then she can take her fucking Burkini off.
  3. Yeah, well done all the Obama critics, managed to put so much negativity out against him that the Democrats lost Ted Kennedy's seat. I blame Happy Face and the Huffington Post.
  4. ....and Childcare....and healthcare.....and boilercare....etc. Its a one-stop shop for modern life. I wish i could give NJS some advice but the only two mates who use these sort of sites do it to shag birds, not go out with them. One of them told me that he met this one bird who he shagged on the first date and she asked him to double-fist her. What sort of bird meets a man off the interenet and gets into a fisting session? Let alone a double. He also uses that dateacougar.com and reckons he met this Russian milf with 'cracking bolt-ons but a moody boat'. His words not mine. Funny old world really.
  5. Best place on the internet for dating advice this place.

  8. So you think 1m+ protestors were all Iraqis? Tony Benn is an Iraqi? haha, Tony Benn supported Soviet Russia too When people start using Tony Benn and George Galloway to support their arguments though oh dear. Thats what the Labour Party thought too.
  9. So you think 1m+ protestors were all Iraqis? Tony Benn is an Iraqi? haha, Tony Benn supported Soviet Russia too And the BNP were and are against the war too. That's quite a range. Is this where i insert the aga photo?

  11. Just in case what i posted was confusing (and we are being responsible), there are no adjuvants in the H1N1 vaccine. They are used in some vaccines to help boost immune response but not in the current ones afaiaa.
  12. What like me and you? In 20 years time you are going to thank me, spending resources on healthcare will be an issue until humans die out or leave the planet. Tbf to Parky there is some consideration required on the risk-benefits of the vaccine which as was noted by the Doctor probably depends on your likely exposure. If your exposure is above average then your risk-benefit says get vaccinated. Only kidding, i'm enjoying it and it will be useful. It is added work and stress though - particularly the 3 hour written exams I have to do for the first time in over a decade.... Re: vaccination, there may be a risk-benefit involved, but I think it's almost always skewed towards the benefit side of things. And then there's the social responsibility of trying to achieve herd immunity. I've recently written quite a few guidelines on the diseases that the childhood immunization programme protects against. Far from being the benign conditions many people imagine, a lot of these (measles for instance) can have truly horrific complications. I can understand a parent's fear of actively damaging their child through vaccination, but on the flip side, how would you feel if you passively let your child die from meningitis C? Of course. Its the uncertainty i guess for a lot of parents. When they ask, what are the long-term risks? the answer involves clinical experience from the previous mass vaccinations, limited experience from trials, the basic science around the type of adjuvants and kinetic modelling. If you are massively risk-averse* then there is not that much categorical evidence to re-assure you. Hence it rears its head on here. *Kahneman & Tversky.
  13. ...and Chez will tell you Tamiflu more or less useless. Absolutely. I'd recommend a long sweaty wank under a massive duvet sitting next to the radiator as being equally effective.
  14. Well don't ask for it then. If someone bases their personal health care decisions on the opinions of a 'message board loon' they deserve the Darwin award anyway.

  16. Them Jeans Drum Edit of Shelter by The xx. Its a bit shit really as they've just stuck a beat over the track buts its a winner. The Courage of Others by Midlake, going to see them on Feb 2nd. My fandom of that lot is wholly down to Toontastic i.e. discovered on here. Joy Orbison - Hynph Mngo. Classy house, worth a listen. Bost & Bim - Jamaican Boy. Sexy Reggae with funky organs. Also a winner.
  17. "The character Terry was inspired by Newcastle's central midfield from the 2008/9 season"
  18. Vaccines are one of the reasons we live longer nowadays. You have to test them on someone though. Claiming that vaccines cause long term damage is a perilous occupation, it ruined the career Dr Wakefield if you remember that?
  19. Shit! Get onto the EMEA they must have missed this!
  20. Best move to the costa del sol where you won't be forced to integrate. Aye but we're welcomed by the majority there for enhancing their income and quality of life. If I was in a hut in Karachi now, witha big fuckin beard sat smoking a big sheesh pipe (spelling) and I had a choice between moving to say Telford, Istanbul, Riyadh why the fuck would I choose Telford if I had no intention of immersing myself in the culture? Least you can get the prayer mat out and class women as second class citizens in them other places. Why would I want to move to a place where infidels sin by drinking till they're pissed every weekend, people are doing drugs, eating bacon sandwiches and women have the audacity to walk the streets without veils? Why would Britain be my choice of destination, tell me. Cos your mam and dad were asked to come 40 years ago and you were born here? Social cohesion (in ths context) is aboout immigrant communities not just immigration. That's fine what about the last 20 years? Or even last 10 years? True but we opened the doors a long time ago. Once you start a community, others will follow. Also, Spain is not a fair analogy really for immigration, it was orginally a Spanish policy not to have extradition agreements with us and more recently its a right everyone in Europe has to live there. To try and answer the question of why Britain would take someone better qualified than me, i'd say amongst the reasons are, history of the community in the country, the only country in the EU with English as the official language (you can get by in England with a bit of English, not as easly elsewhere), the slack immigration policy, the benefits system, the multi-culturalism (a throw-back to our imperialist times) and the weather, obviously.
  21. You've got to be shitting me.... Bagsy that for my next username.

Why would Britain be my choice of destination, tell me. The next wave of illegal immigration will be Africans, a million of which having got to Libya (by walking across half of Africa) are already hitting Spain and Italy in the droves. All speak english and nearly all say their final target is England. Ah well, at least when we did it to Africa all the years aog we took the civilising influence of western religion to solve their long term problems. [sarc mark]
