  1. Went to a quality gig last night under one of the bridges over the river. The quite shitly named Rock&Roll who are from Paris were on first and were excellent... www.myspace.com/thenameofthebandisrockandroll http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=36867939 and then a band from Montpellier called Koacha who had some good songs http://www.myspace.com/koacha You'll be surprised i reckon.
  2. Nojust very shit iirc, i got over-excited about To the Manor Porn tbh . Penelope Keith doesnt need to be in it though.
  3. That i need to see. Howards Way ftw.
  4. It was all about her arse wasn't it? I liked it when she had little white flour marks on her face after baking a cake.
  5. Legendary. I also enjoy The Goode life for some reason. Citizen Smith is a classic. The Good life had the huge bonus of Felicity Kendall in her prime though. Felicity Kendal is one of those women who was fancied by dads the length and breadth of the country, but who wasn't really up to much at all imo. A 3-some with Felicity Kendall and Helen Mirren 'at that time' is the pinnacle of MILF fantasies.

  7. These deities on wheels you're sending by are spot on! That smiley should be called 'chapeau'.
  8. Indeed alex. Am sure theres a few on here with the same attitude towards cake tbh.
  9. Context is very important with Einstein though. He was not a believer in any organized religion or a personal God, that is the crux of the present discussion. Your right, from what I know his interest was more in the mystical....As I posted earlier, my beliefs are more to do with spirituality and mysticism (summat I think Pat was touching on) than some organised religion thing. But the quandry is that dig deep enough and you will find most religions are mystical and unexplainable at their core...Catholacism probably has as much to do with black magic and ritual as it has to do with Christianity.. Vintage.
  10. How many people could predict what Mourinhio or Wenger would do? Good luck to him like. Mourinho and Wenger at least look like they have something going on behind their eyes. Clarky looks like hes got 'whats for me dinner?' going on behind the eyes tbf.
  11. Spot on. Do they mention "discovering themselves". Fucking sackable offence imo. If it meant suddenly realising what a twat they were, then a verbal warning is enough.
  12. He's "ambitious" though. Which means if he keeps on saying it enough to those around him he will be put in contention for a job he cannot do.
  13. We have a winner! If I was honest I always found the underdog more interesting..... *Parky caught throwing people who had taken 'a year out to travel' in the bin*. Recent graduates into our company have all had 'years off' where they have gone to somewhere like the Gallapagos Islands to do conservation, then trekked the himalayas, then done charity work in Africa. They all discuss it with each other as though its a competition. The sort of person who does all this at the age of 22 is firstly, incredibly impressive (without doubt hailing from the most stable of backgrounds) then secondly, a complete c*nt.
  14. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcast...-name_page.html I dont reckon he is management material. Is this the succession line? Fuck that.
  15. Has Rents been on the wacky baccy? I agree with the premise though. Look at the 'world views' 2500 years ago and now and its clear that anyone claiming any form of higher knowledge was mainly spouting bollocks then. Apart from those cultures who were expert astrologists of course.
  16. Dead Kennedys - Viva Las Vegas Does quite well up against the Elvis original on this rather pertinent site. http://www.cover-vs-original.com/song-144.html
  17. Someone recently released a house cover of 'Stop me...' which turns into a mash-up with The supremes' Keep me hanging on.
  18. - Do you relentlessly obey signs ordering you to keep off the grass, put your bins in the right place etc. and have no problem with castigating others for not doing so, but fail to understand the concept of forming an orderly queue? - Do you live in mortal fear of crossing a street on the red man even if there are no cars for miles around and there's tumbleweed rolling past? - Do you tolerate endless bureaucracy and form-filling even though you know most of it only exists because the government have employed far too many people in cushy job-for-life civil servant positions? - Do you put "Dr." in front of your name at all times even if you're not a medical doctor? Do you fail to see how ridiculous it is to put all of your titles in front of your name, even if it makes you a "Prof. Dr. Dr."? - Do you pay lip service to racial tolerance but think cartoons of Africans with big lips and bones through their noses are still perfectly OK? ...sorry, am I missing the point a bit? - Do you enjoy munching down on a big fat sausage? That's better. Perfect, Meenzer Merkel and Brown should compare notes
  19. I wonder what sort of 'test of German-ness' we could dream up? *insert cultural sterotype here.
  20. Why? The US get you to swear allegience to a flag ffs. Then again they dont have the same welfare state as we have.
  21. No it just applies to 'wogs'....I think the Spanish and Italians are borderline. Fair enough. French and Germans won't bother, the benefits here and 'there' (Chez) are way too good. I know people here who haven't worked for 7 years and go to 'back to work' courses and read comics (or is it graphic novels). In France of course you don't even have to sign on, you just make a phone call and and tap in a code. Got a Canadian mate who moved to London last year and is still signing on in France. Serves the thick twats right imo.
