  1. Well if it was a simple as that we'd be getting around 20k as we speak. Explain to me how ditching my ST will get rid of him? Am jealous that youve got ice in your veins, and are a normal functioning grown up adult. I'm not, and neither are 1000s of others. I havent given up at either of our last two relegations, or when Freddy Shepherd borrowed millions we didnt have and trousered a large portion of it. I do have time for the ambition he showed but not for the way he went about it, which is as bad as what Ashley is currently doing iyam.
  2. Soooo...just nipped into town to have a look at one of these badboys....didnt actually make a complete arse of myself by asking one of the employees of EE, carphone, phones4u or 3 if they had one I could look at having realised pretty quickly that you can't actually "try before you buy". Who knew? Got an upgrade in January, was thinking htc 1, but I do like having my music on the old google play cloud thingy, I expect its great for stuff like that?...is an htc really worth £100+ more?...
  3. See thats what I think...he's not going to go till he gets his money back and starving him of money will just prolong the suffering. He's got us where he wants us, the fat cunt.
  4. Would financially withdrawing support for the club contribute to Ashley selling it?.....and in answer to Stevies question and linked to this is it would very much depend on the regime which buys it. I'm having to ask myself some serious questions too...if someone could put forward a theory as to how ditching a season ticket I've had for over 20 years and 200+ "loyalty" points would help drive the fucker from the club then im all ears...
  5. So all the goals he scored in Germany were lucky too?....maybe he had service there, am not sure...where would have been without 2 or 3 of his goals last season? playing Bournemouth and Millwall I'd reckon..short memories some of you. He scored at the very end v Fulham and Stoke, still making his runs, still thinking that the next one might be the one. Yes he's also missed some sitters, what strikr doesnt?...its all the more noticable in a poor side, thats why he gets stick. Not completly warrented iyam. The midfield should stop taking ridiculously long pot shots and try to play him in more.
  6. Whats wrong with Hampden?...holds roughly the same as SJP, 50kish..
  7. He played up front on his own from Janaury onwards last season...before that there was no room for him and Ba in the same side and Pardew should have made a decision. Correct about service to him, its woeful and was last season when his goals kept us in the division. Correct, he's snatching at everything. He's not alone in that; they need drilling properly in training. The whole side play like strangers at times. As for being a passenger, I was at Cardiff and again he didnt score but his willingness to make runs and work hard were great. He contributed a lot to that game iyam. He was then dropped, see also Anita post Hull City.
  8. Being rude to TT posters overrated anyway, no Mickey Quinn tbf...
  9. I've read the Harold Larwood one, great read One of my favourite books about anything... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Father-Other-Working-Football-Heroes/dp/0224072684/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1383205073&sr=1-1&keywords=gary+imlach
  10. Sounds like theyve got through All over the papers again tomorrow, Ashleys fuckin rattled
  11. Least surprising thing I've read this decade I think... It looks impossible on paper, football is played in grass though. Pardews aged a bit!
  12. Thats what we got v Spurs after KK walked. There was a widespread and much mentioned plan to boycott that game. This time its as natural as breathing to just say "fuck that"...no need for an online campaign this time...well done Mike, good work son..
  13. He gave the Sun and thew Daily Mail what they wanted, she was sacked only after the headlines screamed for her dismissal. I bet you the same papers are slaughtering this payout tomorrow. No pleasing some people. An ex of mine worked for social services, placing kids with foster carers. She said it doesnt matter what sort of monsters are allowed to bring kids into the world, social services will always get the blame for not being able to be in some scumbags house 24hrs a day. Impossible job.
  14. Can you port your old number across?...had mine since 1998, it would be a bit of a fucker to change it now...I had been thinking along these lines tbh..
  15. Best chant of the day, on the metro near Boldon passing a field containing equine livestock: "we're gonna kill all your horses...." That, apart from the excellent company of howmanheyman & friends, was pretty much the highlight of the day....Ashleys killing this club, season tkt renewall is the time to send him a message...sadly that course of action could end up prolonging his tenure...
  16. So he's either been told he's sacked or he's going to see Ashley now to be told?...
  17. Pete Wiggs and Bob Stanley are geniuses mate, dont let anyone tell you different...they also did this floorfiller from yesteryear..Janey Lee Grace from Steve Wright in the Afternoon on vocal duties http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFhjxlPYNOI
  18. I know you and HF are always listening to new stuff; I think my musical venturing ceased around 1998 I've often listened to some of stuff you've put up here, and looked at some of the names and done a bit of research; Bombay Bicycle Club I definetly got off here, one or two others..
  19. Remeber Arnold Muhren, Ipswich and manu?...he had a brother called Gerrie who played for Ajax and Seville, shouldve played in 74 WC but didnt go because his son was ill. Anyroads, he's interviewed for this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brilliant-Orange-Neurotic-Genius-Football/dp/0747553106 and he makes a very similar point to you; kids dont play on tarmac with tennis balls any more; think about what skills that develops...you're going to stay on your feet for a kick off, if you have good control of a tennis ball your control of a full size football will very likely be excellent. Think of all the summer holidays playing football like that, after school, during playtime etc etc...as far as I can make out you just dont see it as much these days. Lack of football coaches?...if you teach yourself the skills first, how to actually play 11 a side in whatever foramtion can be taught at a later date, but I really think theres a lot to be said for the general point here.
  20. But thats not the case when you look at the players who came through from the mid nineties as I said earlier. If theyre talented enough and want it enough they'll come through. That is what the comission is trying to address as they feel there aren't sufficient numbers of them coming through. There is a paucity of talent at the moment, just as there has been at various stages in most major nation's histories. The commission's primary aim is to sort this situation, and there seems to be an emphasis on coaching, which for me is missing the point somewhat when you look at the history of the players this country has produced. Its a trendy media thing to blame the coaching. Wallsend BC produced 4 England players in 20 years, since then not much, which suggests a lack of playing talent rather than a lack of coaching talent. Or are you suggesting the coaching has gone backwards? or if the coaching was better and we had a lot more of them we'd produce 100s more properly talented footballers? I think these are pretty loose assumptions tbh. I look at players like Joe Cole, how good could he have been with better coaching, or Young, or Carrick? I dont really understand what you're getting at here; Cole and Young for me were/are happy to tread water earning millions, neither of them appear to want to improve, especially Cole. Carrick, not blessed with real pace, he's made the very best of himself by becoming a brilliant passer of the ball, a shaper of games. Succesive England managers have ignored him in favour of picking players who had more individual ability than him but couldnt play effectively together, fan boys rather than managers, and iyam thats where the real problems with the England team lie, shite leadership and the millionaires in the dressing room not giving enough of a fuck for anything bar money.
