This, as far as I can make out, hasnāt been reported in this manner naming this individual beforeā¦. We have learnt that, when Jacobo Solis ā a senior figure from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, the majority owners ā asked questions over the day-to-day running of the club, Eales communicated that he could not do things as he would like because Staveley and Ghodoussi were too involved. It caused a split at the very top of the club, and Staveley and Ghodoussi felt they had no option but to sell their six per cent share and go. This, it is said, left them heartbroken.

Can anyone dig out the first post where @LongTimeAdmirer first said āclose the thread, no further business will be doneā?⦠itās at least a fortnight ago Got to say I like her/him/themā¦showed brilliantly cynical youthful foresight when us experienced campaigners were sat here with bubbles coming out of our gobs

Do you have the slice of orange in it like a muckle ponce? š

If you ask me not getting Tosin on a free changed everything in this window. That changed our focus. If heād come weād have conceivably had a very healthy budget to add to midfield and the forward line. I can see the need to replace Miggy/Murphy. Howe and/or Mitchell might have seen that differently. Weāll never know now. If we lose by two goals on Sunday thereās going to be hell on inside the ground, vitriol directed at Howe and those in executive positions and I want no part of thatā¦.if that does happen weāll be wandering down āAugust 2004 laneāā¦. people furious about how things have gone in the last 6 months need to remember how long it took to appoint anyone anywhere near as good as Sir Bobby Robson into the managers chair at SJP after we turned on him. If youāre judging the present board as fuckin useless you might want to think about that

Rugby League and Speedway are the last two truly working class mass spectator sports in this country. I think thereās a lot to be said for both of them, all of which would be lost on someone such as yourself

Tino and Pope in Carsleyās first England squad.
