I'd like to hear your footballing ()reasons that Pardew is a better manager CT.

Simple question CT - Do you think Pardew is a better manager than Hughton?

Who's comparing him to them though? We're comparing him to Hughton and the job he was overperforming in to start with. Having cooled off after the initial shock, (something not many seem to have done yet), the latent love for Hughton as a footballing manager is bizzare. Even when we were doing well last season, most on here (probably except over optimistic me) thought he wasnt good enough for the prem. People should go and read what they were posting 6 months ago! (and they call me contrary). The lack so far of any comments about missing Hughtons footballing managerial qualities is pretty telling. I also dont buy the line that he was a rotweiller behind the scenes. Bazillian Bob is right to a degree, it could have been a lot worse and as Ive said before, had the replacement being so called "top drawer" there wouldnt be half the fuss there is now. With regard to Pardew his record is extremely average but the one good thing he feels he is a wronged man out to prove a point and that can be quite a motivator. He also has a contract that seems to have an awful lot of get out clauses in it so there is no big pay day for failure. We'll see how he does. In other news, Baileys have reported a peak in sales in South Shields this week.

Stopped going regularly a while back - work etc. Been to a few games lately but no more.

No one has ever summed up my feelings better than this. Word for word how I feel. I've got no energy left for them, got no hurt left, got no happiness left for them, I'm feeling no emotion that's how I feel with regards to NUFC, I'm drained of them this week. They are one of the most important things in most of our lives but it's time to take stock and think is all the emotional energy worth it, because it is worth it when you have respect for your leader, when you can see hope for the future, when you fuckin dream of better days. It's all gone though, I think the thing when a lot of us were 10-16 in the late 80s early 90s, we realised it couldn't get any worse, it would get better, we had John Hall and the Magpie Group always hovering to take it to the promised land, and it was a lot easier to get there now. This regime is like the fuckin Benny Hill Show, you could pick 5 people any five off this board and I genuinely believe we would have a better idea how to run this football club. You would honestly think that what they are doing is a deliberate wind up, not fuckin about that's how bad it is, it's almost like a wind up. I admire your sentiment Henda. Both Stevie and Trophyshy (to name just 2) have expressed utter dejection with this weeks events, you can add me to that. I've reached my limit with Ashley, cannot countenance another penny of mine going in his pocket.
