  1. Aye well any tips hoy up. Having gorged on the wifes sub standard fayre for 25 years (prays to god she never reads this) Im now just starting to really get into all of this. Once again my simple yorkshire recipe produce mammoth puds, Roasties are a doddle and the only real thing I need to master, roast wise, is the gravy. Our lass it to keen to chuck the granules in which often results in a thick bland gravy.
  2. Should have known, you'll have been there, done that.
  3. Aye, he was shit in that little 4-3 over Chelsea 1 swallow, etc Cant have it both ways Fish. If he plays well in the chance he gets against very good footballers, then surely he's worth another chance against "lesser" footballers.
  4. Honey Roasted Vegetables....... Orfuckingasmic, I shit you not. Chop up a turnip, shallots, sweet potatoe, chardonay carrots (leave whole) and really any similar veg like parsnip etc. Chuck in a baking tray with a good splosh (3 table spoons) of olive oil and about a quarter of a cup of pouring honey. Add salt and pepper and mix all together so that everything is covered. Pop in the oven for about 35 minutes giving the mixture a good old stir after 15 minutes and 30 minutes. You will then have a delicious vegetable dish that accompanies many meals. Honestly, give it a bash its lovely. (ps I dont like honey but its a sweet vegetable taste you get, not a honey taste).
  5. Nativity 8.7/10 Brilliant festive film with lots of laughs. Martin Freeman from the office does what he does but the best lines go to Matt Rippy as the "little bit special" teaching assistant.
  6. Karate Kid --- Does what you expect but not as good as the first. 5/10
  7. Decent shouts but loads of goals, famous number 9, debut for England....
  8. That cos you jump straight in without giving the subject some finer thought. We know Ashley isnt going to release big fees or wages for proven stars so it is an added benefit having someone who knows a thing about the lower leagues. We'd all love to shop at Waitrose but if you've only got Netto money...... Having seen Lua Lua regualarly, he knows his worth. Anyone who thinks we wouldnt be better off with Lua Lua at St James is quite frankly potty.
  9. Aye, he was shit in that little 4-3 over Chelsea
  10. Baileys Taboo or Special Brew? Flu remedies
  11. Carrols to lose? Isnt this award normally based on players votes pre christmas? Be Lovely if Barton was a contender for the main one. Be suprised if he wasnt on the short list at least.
  12. The good thing about Pardews lower league outings is that he was in charge of Southampton when Lua Lua arrived with Brighton and was the star performer. One of the scandals of Hughtons reign was allowing him to go / stay on loan. I have seen Lua Lua play in that role on a few occasions and I think he would have done a much better job than Jonas. At the very least he would have been an option for substitutions and a bit of competition for Jonas. At least Pardew has been quite vocal about how good lua lua is so he should get a sniff around the first team when he recovers. I can only assume that Vucik? has shagged Mrs Hughton.
  13. High Point Beating the mackems 5-1, nothing comes close Low Point Hughton dismissal (although I agree with it in hindsight). Best game Has to be the mackem game as I watched in a pub with an 80% mackem fan base. Avery close second was the Chelsea cup game as it was totally unexpected. Worst Refereeing Got to be Ben Arfa Most Improved Player Carroll. I just didnt realise how good he was. Even when all the "over the top" england hype was going on earlier in the season, I still didnt realise he was quite the player most were saying. Now a believer. Most disappointing player. Has to Guthrie. I pretty much already new the crapness of Jonas and Routledge, however Guthrie has really let himself down. Favourite Goal Has to be Carrols against Liverpool not just because of the pressure it lifted on such an important match, but also because it proved to me that he had a cracking shot from outside the Box. Looking forward to in the next 6 months The return of Ben Arfa and Lua Lua, the cup final, finishing in a European spot and Baileys off Fish. (and the "Llambias Yes Gemmil" thread). Funny how we are all talking about this season and not the promotion winning season that also included the first 5 months of this year.
  14. Well we have a good team that can play anyone on their day and a manager who has had recent experience of getting a team to wembley. Add that to my dream and I tell ya, get yer cash on it. Final win and Carrol hat-trick
  15. Post of the year. Sitting on the netty reading that and laughed so hard I may have popped something out that shouldn't come out.
  16. Time to look back on those shocking revelations, moments of cvomedy gold, best new poster, funniest event
  17. Whats you highest point, lowest point, game of the season, goal of the season, refereeing thiefery of the season, most improved player, most dissappointind player. You get the drift
  18. Had a very vivid dream last night that we are going to win it this year and that Andy Carrol will score a hat trick in the final. That is all.
  19. Liverpool and wigans respective games both postponed. This from Jose 1 minute ago. We dont know yet but the game we think is cancel!!! Fock me!!! ;)
  20. Apparantly, I don't know how true this is but men have more cells, when we're ill more cells affected, hence us being soft as puppy shite at the first sign of a cold. I'm currently wet nursing my youngest son through whatever he's had. Boy flu, I assume. Breast feeding ??? Not quite, although my bitch tits would probably be up to the job if the truth be known. Whats wet nursing then? I've even googled it and all the results / images and even wiki talk about wet nursing as breast feeding.
