Back in the day it could actually take a long while for a majority in the ground to be on their back. I think i'm actually quite lucky in that where i sit its by and large the same people and whilst like everyone we've all been taken over by the depression and anger of recent years there isnt particularly arguments between people or any nastiness directed to each other, and thats in quite a wide area from my seat. The last argument i remember was me with some fat bloke who kept defending Souness, he doesn't go to the match anymore now! I thought Gemmill still went to the odd game?

To be fair to Allardyce though, the majorities of injuries we currently have are with the defence. Given that it's a relatively new defence as it is, they need time to gel as a unit. You can't expect to chop and change personnel every game and still keep clean sheets.

I tihnk it's probably becuase there's been a big resurgence in giving young ex-players a crack at national team jobs straight away. Klinsman, Van Basten, Billic, Hughes, all went into international management with no experience but did an excellent job. I'm not saying Shearer should get it, I'm just saying it's not as far fetched as you think it is when you look at recent history. That and Allardyce and Redknapp are shit!

I think it's fucking shocking that he get's a £2.5million pay-off for getting sacked. FFS, what muppet draws up these contracts. Surely you'd just put a clause in that states if England fail to reach the Euros then the contract is terminated with no pay off? Wish I could get a years salary for being incompetent!

Beckham and Crouch are the only two for me that deserve any praise, particularly Beckham. For a guy who's supposedly lacking fitness and was dropped by McClown as a statement of intent, he's the only player that showed any urgency or desire to win imo.
