  1. Depending on what you like I would say a place to avoid is Medicine Hat in Alberta Canada. The place is like DOdge f*cking city. I had more fights to nights out ratio there than even Aldershot. Christ I was a wanker and a half when I was a young Squaddie.
  2. Which part of Stoke were you in? The centre ?!?!? Does it have a hip and happening Latin quarter I didn't know about then Stoke is made up of three or 4 towns. Stoke actually being the 2nd worst of them Burslem being the worst. Hanley and Newcastle are good for a night out and Hanley is very good. Also got some great Balti restaurants.
  3. You have to love the lady.
  4. I have to admit there were bits in this where there was a deffo lump in the throat...Mangaged to hold it back enough to get away with 'man crying'. I wasnt impressed with their treatment of Max Baer though.
  5. Big trouble in little china. "A real man likes the feel of nature on his face" "And a wise man knows when to take shelter from the rain" That film is so deep on so many levels.
  6. I voted Toplass but it was close. Obviously I understand how they feel I am just lucky the wife would kill me if I tried to go online when I come in drunk. However I am in on my own this Saturday night as she is away on a hen night
  7. I like the way when footballers know they are in the wrong they always walk away touching their head looking for blood.
  8. I know it is petty of me but I would love to see them go down with their new signings. Does anyone want them to stay up?
  9. As a man who might have existed once said possibly "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" "Right Mary let's go and get the kid and move to France"
  10. If Emre was there he would have said "Fuck off darkie"
  11. Not so much a problem but would like a none tutors view on things like Malthus and competitive markets and Adam Smith and stuff.
  12. A hole of epic proportions. I've heard Studio's closing down so when I have to go there the only choice is nightclub wise is Gravity (So called because you stick to the floor). I know it's not strictly a town but Concord is like a mix between Shameless and The Hills Have Eyes. The last time I went their was on Friday for my mates birthday. I managed to escape early on in the evening but Definitely Maybe (remember him ) was stuck their all night. His description the next day was simply 'scariest place in the world'. Studio isnt shutting down, someones fibbing to you. And mate, that gravity joke was doing the rounds before it even opened its newly refurbished mirrored doors! My dad used to be a bouncer in Chester Le Street a long time ago.
  13. Anybody know anything about Economics. I have just started it this semester and could do with talking to someone about it.
  14. Birmingham is pretty horrible. Detmold. Nothing good to say about it. Germany doesn't have a real pub or night life culture anyway. I reckon Lemgo would have been a bit better. Only time I was in Lemgo was their intensive care unit.

  16. So what will Glenda do after his promise to leave if any of his team are found to be racist.
  17. Lovely Boys! And I quite like Dad's Army tbh. Dads army was great. Did you know that David jason was up for the role as corporal Jones?
  18. I used to love it ain't half hot mum. Last of the summer wine. Should they not be about 95 now or something? They're dead, but keep getting replaced by younger bods. One day Alex, Gemmill, and MancMag will star in it. Just read about Peter Sallis, Brian Wilde and Bill Owen. Quite interesting really.

  20. I've had some class nights out in Aldershot. Think most of them ended in rucks like.
  21. No but clearly it was a menace as there were probably children somewhere nearby (maybe), I believe a 13 week old puppy was shot the same day for "looking like it might lick someone". True not my taste either, but it was a pretty common name for that sort of dog once upon a time (it also happens to be the name of Eric Claptons favourite guitar - dunno how he's got away with that - and tbh I don't how you can live in the UK these days if your surname is "Blackie" ) and at her age something easy to remember is probably for the best. Isn't there a dog called nigger in a film. The dambusters I think?
  22. I will never have sky as long as the Murdoch family haven't been tortured to death.
  23. COmedy is very subjective and alot of those are of their time. In years to come some people will slag off Seinfeld But some horrendous crimes against comedy have been comitted. Keeping up appearances. A horrid example of housewife TV. Home to roost. Butterflies I never liked it. Just turgid dross. But some classic comedy has come from the BBC which has been incredibly influential. The Young Ones. The punk of tv. The Reggie Perrin stuff. Completely anarchic and it's use of flashbacks and imagery still used. Rising Damp. How they got away with what they did is ubelievable. Fawlty Towers. FLowery Twats ffs
