  1. Cheeky twats a third of the amount Gordon went for!!!! At the same time, this is what happens when you have players stating they want to leave and a manager at the same time stating we need to sell to buy other much needed players. It doesnt work, they know we're desperate and that the player wants to leave, offer us shit and him more wages.
  2. So hes a tosser then? What is it with Rangers at the minute?
  3. Amazingly, nowhere on NewsNow is reporting this though, I know Biffa can be fairly well connected but hes doing well if this ones true.
  4. I cant remember the last time I read one of those and thought "hmmm yeah thats canny" never mind "get the fook in!"
  5. Shit a stick! Birthday greetings fella, you never mentioned that.
  6. Knowing our luck you know what'll happen here dont you? He'll sign for us and the fucker will have a bomb! "Geordie bastards in terror alert"
  7. I notice that there was no mention of what cash would be taken out though. He never once says "and I wont withdraw any dividends for myself". Dont get me wrong, he would be more than entitled to if he wished, its his club but saying he'll put 20mill in and at the same time taking 30mill out would put us 10mill down. Watch out Carol Vorderman we have a maths genius on the forum...
  8. tbh anyone saying that he'd regret going to Wigan, Hull or Stoke would have to give themselves a shake.

  10. Eh? What? With all due respect, have you been living under a rock chap? There were 43 people killed and they are still recovering bodies I'm led to believe. Death toll expected to reach 70. I'm off to do my bit and help look for the missing people. Few freebie crispy pancakes in it for the volunteers no doubt. Cheap skates. And all the time Ally is worried about the 15k that his company is owed donating it to the relief fund would be the right thing to do.
  11. Thats sweet. Almost brought a tear to my eye.... Japs?
  12. That and surrounding himself with people who dont have the first clue about running a football club. He started well, pull in a likable bloke who knows whats what in the sporting world and can deal with people. After that it all went to shit, personally I dont believe the parting was amicable between Ashley and Mort. From what I heard Mort had to chase Ashley for Freshfields fees as they werent being paid. He (Ashley) and Lambrini arent used to having to deal with the customers. Lambretta normally would wander down to the gaming tables once a week or so, shake the hand of some high roller and have a glass of Chablis with some high profile mug whos just lost his shirt then go back to his office and forget about them mugs until he has to do it next week. Now its different, his job should be based on facing the fans, being the public face of the club. Yes we all mocked the stuff Shepherd said at these meetings that all the chairmen goto but what happens now I wonder? Does Lalalalabamba open his mouth when there? or does he even bother attending?
  13. Have you seen our home record? One of the questions is confusing me, can anyone explain? "I enjoy watching a well executed performance by my team" sorry the concept is lost on me there, whats one of those?
  14. This is where I find it hard to get myself into a corner against Ashley. I wonder if what he is doing is actually good for the club. We all know the wages are too high and income from tv could go tits up soon. Unless one has their head in the sand, the overwhelming scare is of clubs being in deep financial shit and the prospect for the future being bleak. There is a chance that in a year or so, Ashley could well turn round and say, 'That's why I was doing the things I did' and we could well thank him for it (I know this view is probably flawed but I just wonder what is going to happen financially in the next year or so for football). However, HOWEVER, Ashley chose Wise and co over Keegan (from what we think we know) and that is extremely hard to stomach for me. Thing is if Shepherd had been the one doing it then you could think fair enough, its needed but why take over a football club because "you want to have a bit fun" then cut everything back to the bone because of economic sensibilities? It doesnt make any sense (or at least not to me). If he'd bought us for the reasons he said he had then he wouldnt be doing this. Wheres the fun in economic stability?
  15. Whens the last time you saw it like?
  16. see this is why we dont do these things anymore.
  17. Its a good job they are though, Ive just been doing some digging on the average attendances and its a worry. 05/06 our average was 52,049 In 06/07 it dropped by 2.7% to 50,662 then last year it went up to 51,321 so far this year (and I acknowledge its not a fully valid statistic as its not at the end and we havent played 3 of the big 4 at home yet) but its dropped so far to 47,434 thats a drop of 7.6%
  18. Back on topic Can anyone seriously say that they trust Ashley to get it right? I know theres half of AN other message board that do and one maybe two on here but can anyone explain it to me? Can any of those give me two examples of things said or done in last 3 months that have been true?
  19. what the fuck makes a 16 year old Chelsea fan come onto a Newcastle board, pretend to live in Plymouth and talk about how much better the atmosphere is here than in the Emirates? wind ups they aint what the used to be
